Chapter 965: Got Into a Fight

The guy called Lei Jun instantly flew into a rage. "Lu Jinyan, what the hell is wrong with you? I’m just toasting your girlfriend, what’s your problem?"

"Are you toasting her, or drugging her? Don’t you know it yourself?" Lu Jinyan suddenly spat out the line in an icy, sinister tone.

Drugging her?

Everyone froze.

Wen Duoduo also stiffened. She instinctively looked at the liquor splashed all over the floor. So that pretty ’Blue Demon’ she’d just had—there was actually something in it?

Wait a minute, wasn’t Lu Jinyan in the bathroom just now? How did he know that cocktail was drugged?

Right then, when Lei Jun heard Lu Jinyan accuse him of putting something in Wen Duoduo’s drink, his face changed on the spot.

"You, you—what right do you have to say I drugged her drink? Which eye of yours saw me put anything in it? Go on, say it!"

Lei Jun’s face flushed red, but his voice lacked conviction.

"I don’t have direct evidence, but when I went to the bathroom just now, we brushed past each other. You had something hidden in your bag, and when you saw me come in you were clearly flustered. One look and it was obvious you’d done something shady."

"Then when I came back in, I saw you toasting Duoduo, and secretly pouring something into her glass. The only thing I could think was that you were drugging her drink."

As he spoke, Lu Jinyan’s sharp gaze shifted to the pocket on Lei Jun’s leather jacket.

Catching him off guard, he suddenly stepped forward twice and grabbed Lei Jun’s collar in one swift motion.

Lei Jun jumped in fright and instinctively tried to back away, but it was already too late.

Lu Jinyan’s right hand had already reached down inside the leather jacket. With a casual grab, he pulled out a small plastic bag filled with white powder.

Lu Jinyan let out a cold snort, held the white powder up for all to see, and questioned Lei Jun, "Talk. What is this?"

Everyone stared, stunned. None of them had expected Lei Jun to really have tried to drug Wen Duoduo’s drink.

Lei Jun was choked speechless, unable to get a single word out.

His face burning, he reached out, trying to snatch the white powder back. "You—you give that back to me."

Lu Jinyan hid the white powder behind his back. Lei Jun grabbed at thin air, and in the scramble he stumbled, falling straight to the floor, his nose and face bruised in an instant. Humiliated and furious, he exploded.

"Fuck!"

His expression flipped in a second. He lunged back, grabbed Lu Jinyan’s collar, and started swinging at him.

Lu Jinyan had been simmering with anger already. He wasn’t afraid of Lei Jun at all. He countered with a cold, hard punch that landed squarely on Lei Jun’s face.

Lei Jun hadn’t been prepared for it. The punch was heavy, and blood oozed from the corner of his mouth.

Lei Jun pointed at Lu Jinyan, seething. "You bastard Lu, you heartless prick! You’re the one who betrayed Xiaowan. I’ve been wanting to hit you for a long time!"

Betrayed?

Off to the side, Wen Duoduo was stunned on the spot, her heart giving a heavy jolt.

Meanwhile, Lei Jun threw himself at Lu Jinyan, swinging a punch aimed right at Lu Jinyan’s jaw.

Even though Lu Jinyan had been on guard, Lei Jun’s rush carried a lot of momentum.

Lu Jinyan couldn’t dodge completely; his nose still took the hit. Blood gushed out at once, bright red streaming from his nostrils and into his mouth.

A metallic, bloody sweetness flooded his whole mouth in an instant.

Lu Jinyan clenched his teeth and spat, "Pah," ejecting the blood from his mouth.

With his rage boiling over, he charged straight back in. The two of them grappled together, and all the bottles on the table crashed to the floor, shattering with sharp, ringing bangs.

The men around them all rushed forward, trying to pull the two apart, but the fight was too fierce; they just couldn’t manage to separate them.
