Lu Jihan nodded, wiped his hair with a dry towel, and walked to Song Yinyin.

He sat by Song Yinyin’s side, wrapped his strong arms around her slender waist, and said, "How do you feel today?"

She thought he was concerned about the baby in her belly, worried she might start experiencing morning sickness.

Song Yinyin responded with a hum, shook her head, and said, "Still okay, no special reactions. I feel like this time it should be a daughter. I heard that if it’s a girl, morning sickness won’t be too severe."

Lu Jihan chuckled and made his words clear.

"I was asking how you felt about this morning’s special service?"

Song Yinyin’s face flushed red instantly: "First thing in the morning, how can you be so shameless and unserious, annoying!"

She spat out a scolding, face red, got up, and bashfully went to the bathroom.

Lu Jihan knew she was shy and thin-skinned, so he laughed lowly, feeling very pleased, and walked to the wardrobe to pick out clothes.

"Yinyin, you don’t need to take Dabai to school today. I’ll take him directly to the art academy. Just take care of yourself at home and don’t wander around unnecessarily."

"Got it."

Song Yinyin answered casually, but in her heart, she was thinking she didn’t want to just stay home doing nothing.

Even though she’s pregnant, it doesn’t mean she’s paralyzed; she can still go for a walk. Staying home all the time would be too stifling.

Just thinking about staying home for a full ten months, not being able to go out, gave her a headache...

At lunchtime, Yan Xue served Song Yinyin a big bowl of rice.

Aunty Zhang from the kitchen brought the fragrant pigeon soup again, though the ingredients were slightly different from yesterday’s.

This time, several Chinese herbs were added to the pot of pigeon soup, so it had a strong medicinal smell.

"Sister-in-law, did you add Chinese herbs to this?" Song Yinyin asked casually.

Yan Xue nodded and patiently said, "Yes, I called Doctor Lv last night to ask if it was okay to add some body-nourishing herbs, like Codonopsis and Angelica. Doctor Lv said it was okay, so I asked Aunty Zhang to add them. Drinking it is very beneficial for your health and helps with sleep."

Song Yinyin nodded, feeling grateful for Yan Xue’s care, and drank the whole big bowl of pigeon soup.

Seeing her finish the large bowl of pigeon soup, Yan Xue nodded in satisfaction.

After eating and drinking her fill, Song Yinyin took a brief walk in the backyard, then took a short nap, followed by two hours of piano practice.

Finding herself terribly bored, she went to the study on the second floor, intending to find some books to pass the time in the afternoon.

On the desk, there was a forgotten document.

Song Yinyin wondered: Could it be Lu Jihan’s?

She walked over for a closer look and indeed, it was some documents from the Mainland Group, likely left behind by Lu Jihan.

Thinking these documents might be important to Lu Jihan, Song Yinyin considered that since she had nothing to do that afternoon, she’d take the documents downstairs.

Yan Xue was tending to the plants and flowers in the backyard.

In the living room, the butler was instructing some servants to move some old furniture out of the house.

"Butler, where are these items being moved to?" Song Yinyin asked.

The butler replied respectfully, "This was instructed by the madam. She was worried that young master Dabai might trip over, so she asked for all the old decorative items in the house to be moved to another room, clearing out the main house to avoid any accidents with the child."
