Chapter 2686 - 2679: You’re Just a Liar

This doesn’t look like a family without money. This is clearly the kind of setup that only wealthy households have: color TV, refrigerator, washing machine, and a large fan standing in the corner of the living room.

Luo Tong pressed the button, and the fan started buzzing, sending a cool breeze blowing.

"Hot, isn’t it?" she asked.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm!" Wang Xiaohu and the other two nodded like little chicks pecking at rice.

Luo Tong took out several ice pops from the refrigerator, handing them to everyone.

She noticed Ning Chenyang looking around her home, pursing his lips with a smile. She handed him an ice pop: "Here, have one! Consider it my apology!"

Ning Chenyang gave a cold snort, looking at her with a bit of disdain: "Liar! Luo Tong, you’re a liar!"

Luo Tong was taken aback: "How am I a liar? How did I lie to you?"

"Weren’t you saying you had no money to treat your brother? With a home like this, how could you not have money for his treatment?" Ning Chenyang recalled the scene in the hospital, feeling a fire burning inside, "Were you deliberately deceiving people at the hospital, trying to avoid paying the medical fees on purpose?"

Luo Tong’s smile froze on her lips. She glared at Ning Chenyang, biting her lip before speaking: "I’m not! I didn’t want to evade medical fees! How can you think of me like that! My brother really is very sick, and dad’s not home. We’re out of money, so I..."

"Really?" Ning Chenyang doubted her.

"You!!" Luo Tong was angry, her eyes wide open.

She truly felt that she had been inappropriate with Ning Chenyang at the hospital, but despite that, Ning Chenyang had still helped her. Ever since that incident, she felt she owed Ning Chenyang an apology.

Therefore, she genuinely wanted to treat Ning Chenyang better now. He’s a nice person, helping her despite them being strangers; she was very touched.

Now, she just wanted to repair their relationship and make friends with him, yet to her surprise, Ning Chenyang thought of her like this.

"Chenyang, we’ve come here quite a few times and indeed haven’t seen her dad return. She’s living with her brother by herself; maybe you’ve truly misunderstood her." Sheng Xiaoguang said while enjoying an ice pop.

"Yeah! We’ve never seen him." Bean Sprout chimed in.

Ning Chenyang saw the anger flaring in Luo Tong’s dark eyes and realized he might really have been wrong. Reluctantly, he turned his head and said, "Is this necessary? Getting angry all the time, I have never seen a girl as unlovable as you!"

"You’re the unlovable one!" Luo Tong retorted, turning and walking away from him.

"Tongtong, don’t be like him. Hurry up, we don’t have much time. Let us play for a while." Wang Xiaohu said, itching to play.

"Sure. Wait a moment!" Luo Tong said and went to turn on the TV.

Ning Chenyang could never figure out what exactly intrigued Wang Xiaohu and the others so much that they were obsessed, running to Luo Tong’s house every day after school.

It wasn’t until Luo Tong turned on the TV that he found out.

Turns out, they came to Luo Tong’s house to play video games!

He was a kid too and liked playing games; when those exciting games appeared on the TV screen, he was instantly captivated.

"Tetris!"

"Racing, racing!"

"Super Mario!"

The three kids started enthusiastically arguing over which game to play.

Just then, Luo Tong asked Ning Chenyang: "How about you? Do you want to play?"
