Chapter 383: Chapter 382: Docile

But any further was completely uncharted territory for Seraphina Sinclair.

Seraphina Sinclair’s brows knitted slightly. With a hint of solemnity and a resolve to improve her speed, she pressed forward.

The intensity of the Wind Blades was unprecedentedly high. Even more absurdly, Seraphina Sinclair could feel a layer of pressure enveloping her body, causing every action to consume a massive amount of Strength.

"Is this weight training?"

Seraphina Sinclair couldn’t help but murmur, but her gaze grew even more resolute.

She had seen weight-training tools in her previous world, but an environment like the Wind-carved Fissure that could perfectly distribute the load across every muscle in her body was extremely rare.

’Such an excellent environment will definitely bring me a significant improvement!’

After struggling forward for about another hundred meters, beads of sweat were already forming on Seraphina Sinclair’s forehead.

The wind pressure here had also intensified. The air became viscous; every breath met with resistance, and every swing of her blade felt heavier than usual.

If it weren’t for the faint defensive properties of her clothing, which left the Wind Blades with little power after tearing through the fabric, Seraphina Sinclair would have been a bloody mess by now.

But even though she hadn’t turned into a bloody mess, Seraphina Sinclair was hardly any better off.

The Wind Blades had shallowly torn open a layer of her skin. Normally, it would only hurt when the muscles were pulled.

But in her current environment, her body was already slick with sweat. Any time there was an open cut, sweat would seep in, bringing a fresh wave of pain.

Seraphina Sinclair gritted her teeth and endured it.

After taking a few more steps, she suddenly thought that she wasn’t just here to train her speed. Given the current situation, wasn’t she also training her jaw muscles?

The thought was absurd enough, but for Seraphina Sinclair, it also served as a way to relieve the pressure.

Perhaps due to years of Erosion from these Wind Blades, the rock walls on both sides were covered with a crisscrossing network of deep scratches, almost completely obscuring the original rock face.

The deeper she went, the denser and deeper the scratches became. Some areas had even formed honeycomb-like pits. Wind passing through them emitted wails like ghosts and howls like wolves, further disrupting the already chaotic airflow.

Seraphina Sinclair felt as if she wasn’t walking, but trudging through a swamp made of countless invisible blades and viscous air.

Sweat had long since soaked through her undergarments, mixing with the tiny beads of blood seeping from the myriad wounds on her skin, bringing a continuous stinging and itching sensation. Her breathing became ragged, her lungs feeling as if they were gripped by an invisible hand, making every expansion an exhausting effort.

But the light in her eyes only grew brighter and brighter.

’Here, maybe it’s not just my Speed I can train.’

Moving forward required Strength, while enduring the pressure required Constitution.

Now, she was training all three of her Attributes!

More importantly, under this extreme pressure, her control over her body and her ability to anticipate danger were being forcefully honed, improving bit by bit.

Seraphina Sinclair wiped away the sweat and moisture blurring her vision, her gaze fixed on the deeper core region, which was shrouded in such violent winds that even her line of sight could not penetrate it.

That was the goal of her trip!

Seraphina Sinclair took a deep breath, suppressing the burning pain in her lungs, and once again set off.

Each step felt like treading on an invisible spring, requiring immense strength to fight against the omnipresent pressure and the Wind Blades cutting in from all directions.

Water Dragon Roar was no longer just a weapon in her hand, but also something of a cane to feel out the path.

She tried her best to catch every subtle change in the airflow, predicting where the next wave of attacks would come from.

After advancing another fifty meters or so, the surrounding light seemed to have dimmed considerably.

Seraphina Sinclair looked up and realized it wasn’t that the sky had changed color at all. Rather, the extremely compressed wind in the air had formed a nearly translucent barrier, distorting the light.

The Wind Blades were no longer attacking her one by one as they had before.

Instead, they came like a ceaseless tide, one wave rising before the last had even fallen.

Much of the time, Seraphina Sinclair had to weave a dense web with Water Dragon Roar just to barely protect her vitals.

But... even a perfect defense has its openings.

"SHLICK!"

With a soft sound, an exceptionally sharp Wind Blade sliced a deep gash into the outside of her left arm, even with her clothes as a buffer. Blood immediately gushed out, flowing down her arm.

The intense pain caused Seraphina Sinclair’s movements to falter for a moment, and right after, more Wind Blades arrived, seeking out the opening!

At this moment of crisis, Seraphina Sinclair’s eyes sharpened. Far from retreating, she let out a low growl as some kind of potential was seemingly squeezed out from within her.

Her footing shifted and she twisted her body, Water Dragon Roar drawing a brilliant azure arc that simultaneously deflected several Wind Blades. At the same time, using the recoil, she shot forward in a great leap!

That single step seemed to break through some kind of critical point. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

The pressure around Seraphina Sinclair suddenly eased, and the violent howl of the wind in her ears seemed to recede slightly, becoming clear and discernible.

She had charged into a relatively much calmer area.

Though she found the existence of such a zone strange, now was not the time for wonder. Seraphina Sinclair immediately sat down on the spot and took out an Advanced Medical Kit. She treated her wounds until they were mostly healed before getting back to her feet to carefully observe her surroundings.

She was at the edge of the Wind-carved Fissure’s core, in a bowl-shaped depression about ten square meters in size that had been carved out by the Wind Blades.

The rock walls were smooth as a mirror, reflecting a faint, eerie light.

The strangest thing was that the wind here no longer raged in disarray, but had instead formed air currents visible to the naked eye.

These air currents were a pale cyan color, resembling docile streams as they slowly and rhythmically swirled within the small space.

With a hint of curiosity, Seraphina Sinclair took a piece of jerky from her Silver Moon Earrings and held it out to test these docile streams.

The instant the jerky touched the pale cyan air current—

"FSSST!"

With a soft hiss, the small piece of jerky wasn’t even swept away or cut. At the point of contact with the pale cyan airflow, it simply turned into an extremely fine powder, as if it had been ground down, and dissipated into the air, not leaving even a speck of dust behind.

Seraphina Sinclair’s pupils contracted. She yanked her hand back, a cold sweat instantly breaking out on her back.

’Docile? Streams?’

’These weren’t docile streams; this was tangible wind containing terrifying cutting and pulverizing power!’

’The destructive power of this stuff is definitely a hundred times greater than those seemingly chaotic but loose Wind Blades outside!’

’If she had touched that directly with her hand just now, even just with a fingertip, the consequences would have been unimaginable.’

Seraphina Sinclair activated Water Stopping, forcing her thoughts to calm as quickly as possible.

She had arrived at the edge of the core region. Before her was the core itself, formed by countless revolving winds.

This was the final destination of her exploration today.

’I’m already at the doorstep. There’s no reason not to go in.’
