The moment the dimensional lockdown ended, the Beacon Fire Order reactivated the portal to the Eternal Night Dimension.

The deathly darkness within the door frame was torn apart, and a dark purple light curtain rapidly spread along the inner wall.

In a few breaths, the light curtain changed from transparent to thick, and the silvery-white light spots in the depths began to rotate, spinning faster and faster, eventually converging into a flowing vortex.

Lin Feng stood outside the door, quietly watching the reopened portal.

Just then, a golden light shot out from inside the door and flew straight toward him.

Lin Feng raised his hand and grabbed, the light dissipated, and a golden token appeared in his palm.

The token was made entirely of an unknown metal, with the emblem of Viscount Eternal Night and a crescent moon obscured by dark clouds engraved on the front, and lines of fine text on the back.

He gripped the token, his consciousness sinking into it.

【Viscount of Eternal Night - Recruitment Order】

【To Lin Feng, Lord of Plane 307, Nightmare Baron】

【Due to the sudden change in the situation on the Eternal Night Battlefield, with the Blood Demon Sect launching a full-scale attack and the frontline forces in various regions facing a critical shortage, the Viscount of Eternal Night has decided to issue a special conscription order to Your Excellency.】

【Reason for Recruitment: Reinforcements needed for the Eternal Night Battlefield - Snow Mountain Pure Land direction】

【Recruitment Deadline: Report to the Recruitment Tower within three days of the end of the Dimensional War】

【Recruitment Requirements:】

【I. This is a special recruitment; you only need to go in person.】

【II. Upon arrival, await unified command from the Snow Mountain Pure Land Frontline Command】

【III. Your dimensional defenses are your own responsibility; Viscount Eternal Night will not make any further requests.】

【Remark:】

【This is a special recruitment, with higher priority than regular recruitment.】

【Failure to arrive by the deadline will be considered a violation of Viscount Yongye's decree】

【Issued by: Viscount Edgar Evernight】

Lin Feng raised his head, his gaze sweeping over the teleportation portal, and remained silent for a moment.

Behind him, Jiang Zhaoyue's voice came: "Lord, is it news from the Eternal Night Battlefield?"

Lin Feng nodded: "Yes, it's a summons issued by Viscount Yongye, ordering me to go to the Summoning Tower within three days."

Zhao Hu curled his lip, crossed his arms, and looked annoyed: "Viscount Yongye isn't any better. If we had a choice, who would be willing to risk their life for him?"

Tie Dun immediately came over, his round face flushed red, waving his fist: "Brother Hu is right! When are you going to break through to level 60, Lord?"

When the time comes, I, Tiedun, will stand at the gate of that Viscount's mansion with my shield. If he dares to utter a sound, I'll smash him into the wall with my shield!

Lin Feng glanced at him and said in a calm tone, "Some things are better said in private. You should be careful about what you say in public. Besides, breaking through to level 60 isn't easy."

Tie Dun nodded hurriedly, like a chicken pecking at rice: "I understand, I understand! I, Tie Dun, am very tight-lipped. Once I leave this room, I'll pretend I never said those words!"

Lin Feng slowly added, "Also, what if this conscription order has a surveillance function? What about your earlier comment about'slapping him into the wall'?"

It might already be on someone's desk. If the Viscount wants to kill you, I can't protect you.

Ironclad's smile froze instantly, his neck shrank back, and his voice trembled: "No, lord! I just blurted it out! I'm utterly loyal to the Viscount!"

After saying that, he actually bowed deeply to the conscription order in Lin Feng's hand, clasped his hands in a fist salute, and added with a devout expression, "The sun and moon bear witness, Your Excellency!"

Zhao Hu couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Lin Feng looked at his round face, which looked like it was about to cry, and his lips twitched: "Alright, I was just kidding. The conscription order doesn't have that function."

Tie Dun let out a long breath, his legs almost giving way and he collapsed to the ground: "That scared me to death..."

Jiang Zhaoyue's smile faded, and she asked seriously, "Lord, how many troops will be deployed this time?"

Lin Feng shook his head: "This is a special recruitment. I'm the only one who's going to go first. I'll go check out the situation first. Don't let your guard down here either."

You might have to go to the battlefield too, so be prepared. The brutality there is incomparable to anything you've experienced before.

"Yes!" The people behind him stood up and accepted the order.

Lin Feng didn't say anything more and stepped into the portal.

The dark purple light curtain parted in front of him and then slowly closed behind him.

The space inside the portal distorted for a moment, then returned to calm, as if nothing had happened.

...

Lin Feng emerged from the Gate of Eternal Night, and a dark purple light curtain slowly closed behind him.

He looked up at the wall of light, then looked away and surveyed his surroundings.

It's completely different from when I came last time.

Last time, the square was bustling with vendors, with catwomen leading pack animals, bearmen carrying goods, and vampire descendants haggling in the corners—it was noisy and chaotic.

But this time, only the army was in the square, organized armies, armies of various ethnic groups.

Tens of thousands of soldiers poured out of the light screen and then dispersed in all directions.

The ground was teeming with people, and the sky was so vast that it blotted out the sun, with flying units constantly emerging from the portal.

Lin Feng stood at the exit of the light curtain, quietly watching everything.

A group of lion-man soldiers passing by cast questioning glances at him.

"What's the situation with the humans?" a lion-man asked in a low voice. "Level 39? They dare to stand there at the portal exit at a time like this?"

The highest mobilization order has been issued, and instead of reporting for duty, he's just sitting here sightseeing.

"Damn it, he's really asking for trouble." Another lion-man sneered. "When the inspection team arrives, he'll be in for a world of hurt."

"Surely he doesn't deserve to be executed immediately?"

"Execution? Not quite, but the places I'm assigned to afterward are definitely places of certain death."

The two shook their heads and left. More soldiers passed by Lin Feng. A few would glance at him, but most would just sweep their eyes over and move on.

As a goblin infantry squad passed by, a goblin soldier tugged at his comrade's sleeve and gestured towards Lin Feng.

"Hey, did you see that? That human..."

"I see it! I see it! Stop staring! The vampire from the supervisory team is in the sky!"

"But he doesn't seem afraid... Look at his expression, like he's just strolling through a market. The aerial surveillance teams aren't even bothering him. Maybe we should..."

"Shh...don't drag me down with you if you're looking for trouble!"

These whispers drifted in and out like the wind.

Lin Feng watched for a while, then looked away.

The Nightmare Faction is not yet a sinking ship. With his current strength, he has no chance of winning whether he faces the Blood Demon Sect alone or Viscount Eternal Night.

These two are far from being the top forces in their respective camps.

Forget it, let's take a longer-term view.

He snapped out of his reverie, lightly touched the ground with his toes, and soared into the air, flying towards the direction of the Summoning Tower.
