Survival of the Nation: I Can Specify the Items That Will Drop
Chapter 643: The Crimson Blood Demon Sect
The fireball exploded, and crimson flames swept across a radius of fifty meters. The bloodthorn vines and ordinary trees were instantly reduced to ashes in the flames, and even the ashes were melted into glassy crystals by the high temperature.
Another ice-type awakened being, clad in ice-blue armor, pressed his hands to the ground, and a chill emanated from his palms.
"Frosty Domain!"
The ground within a radius of 100 meters around him instantly froze.
The gnarled roots of those ancient trees were frozen in the ice.
Several Qingyang Grandmasters also seized the opportunity to strike, their palm strikes slamming into the ice, shattering the frozen trees into pieces.
In less than half an hour, a vacant lot covering several square miles was forcibly cleared out.
Looking down at the busy army below, Lin Feng said to Jiang Zhaoyue beside him.
"Zhaoyue, I'm going back to Hangu Pass to transport a batch of supplies. While I'm gone, the army is advancing according to plan. If there are any unexpected situations, find Yelan and Director Zhou, and the three of you can discuss it together."
Jiang Zhaoyue nodded, but a hint of worry still flashed in her eyes.
"Yes, my lord. Leave this to me. But you must be careful on your journey. If the four Celestial Realm experts from the Demon Sect intercept you on the road, your clone might not be able to escape."
Lin Feng smiled.
"There is that risk, but I don't think they would send four Celestial Realm experts to ambush us if they felt they had the upper hand and were unaware that I had large-scale spatial equipment."
"Besides, I also have a plan."
As he spoke, the thousand-faced silver ring between his fingers emitted a silvery light.
Lin Feng's golden equipment instantly lost its luster, turning into a set of ordinary purple equipment. His aura also dropped steadily, eventually stabilizing at level thirty-five.
From his appearance, he was just an ordinary level 35 purple-armored warrior, inconspicuous in a crowd.
The Thousand Faces Silver Ring's disguise is so convincing that anyone below level 50 cannot see through it.
"As long as it's not three people at the Celestial Realm or above attacking simultaneously, I should be able to escape without any problem."
Jiang Zhaoyue felt relieved after hearing these words. She nodded and said seriously.
"My lord, please go with peace of mind. I will keep a close eye on the army and ensure they do not advance rashly. I will also keep in touch with Ye Lan and Director Zhou."
Be careful on your journey, and return early. The army cannot function without your presence.
Lin Feng glanced at her and smiled, "Don't worry."
He turned and leaped off Fengxue's back, adjusting his body in mid-air before gently landing on a tree stump that had been broken by the war elephant.
With a push of his feet, his figure, like a purple streak of light, swept westward along the treetops and quickly disappeared into the depths of the mist.
...
Deep in the dense forest near the portal in the Crimson Blood Plane.
Six figures were scattered among the tree canopy, their auras perfectly concealed, not even disturbing the blood mist in the forest.
They were grandmasters of the Azure Blood Demon Sect. Two days ago, they ambushed a supply convoy from the Beacon Fire Territory in this area, and have been guarding this place ever since, monitoring the movements of the teleportation portal.
Two days have passed, and I still haven't found a second target.
The blood mist of Bloodthorn Pure Land had no effect on them. Their master-level perception could penetrate the mist within two miles, and nothing could escape their eyes.
But in the past two days, not even a rabbit has come over, let alone enemy troops.
As time went on, the six of them inevitably became somewhat lax.
"I heard the Nightmare Plane's army is still advancing eastward?" a tall, thin grandmaster mumbled, chewing on a blood fruit. "They don't even have logistical supplies. Aren't they just going to their deaths?"
"That's not quite right. This Nightmare Dimension is no simple matter." A round-faced Grandmaster beside him shook his head. "According to reconnaissance, their Grandmaster-level combat power is twice that of ours."
"So what if it's twice as many?" the tall, thin man scoffed. "I've seen those grandmasters before. Most of them only have a single attribute awakening, their combat power is pathetic. I can take on two of them by myself."
"Keep your contempt to yourself." A third voice came from a higher branch, belonging to a middle-aged man with a stern face.
"As far as I know, there are quite a few masters in this Nightmare Dimension who have awakened dual attributes."
According to internal sect sources, the elders have assessed the situation and concluded that in a direct confrontation, we would undoubtedly lose.
There was a moment of silence in the canopy of trees.
"Is the Nightmare faction really this over the top lately?" the round-faced grandmaster muttered.
"First, the Blood Abyss Demon Sect was inexplicably defeated in the interdimensional war, and now we've run into such an overpowered opponent."
No wonder the main sect is now seriously launching an attack on the Eternal Night Dimension.
If this hadn't happened, we would have been going to the battlefield in six months anyway. Now that this has happened, we don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.
"Nonsense, of course it's a good thing!" The tall, thin man perked up. "Although the Nightmare Plane on the other side is incredibly powerful, our Azure Blood Sect is not to be trifled with either."
With the Bloodthorn Forest's sanctuary, holding them off shouldn't be a problem. For the next three years, we won't need to go to the Eternal Night Battlefield!
"Three years?" the fourth grandmaster interjected. "You're quite optimistic."
"Otherwise what? Would you rather be transferred to the Eternal Night Snow Mountain right now to fill in the gaps?"
The stern-faced middle-aged man was about to say something when he suddenly raised his hand and lowered his voice: "Don't say anything, something's up."
The six of them fell silent at the same time, their gazes passing through layers of blood mist and landing in the direction of the teleportation portal.
Two miles away, a purple figure emerged from the forest and stopped in the open space in front of the teleportation gate.
He was a young man who looked to be under twenty years old, wearing purple-quality equipment, and his level was displayed as level thirty-five.
He stood there, looking around as if confirming his direction.
The tall, thin man's eyes lit up: "Haha, finally here! You dare come back alone? You're practically asking for death!"
He made a move to jump down from the treetop, but the cold-faced middle-aged man grabbed his wrist.
"Be careful, there might be an ambush."
"What ambush?" The tall, thin man waved his hand impatiently. "This is obviously a mission to report back. A level 35 nobody, I can take him down in one move..."
"Don't be careless; our primary mission is reconnaissance."
"Are we just going to watch him get back safely?" the tall, thin man was unwilling to give up.
"If he really is alone, and he's carrying some important intelligence, you must report all of this truthfully when he returns to the sect. If we let our target escape, can you take the responsibility?"
"No rush." The stern-faced middle-aged man stared at the purple figure with a steady gaze. "Wait until he gets closer."
The purple figure paused for a few moments in front of the teleportation portal, seemingly sensing something.
Then he strode toward the portal, his pace neither fast nor slow, even with a touch of composure.
"Aren't you going to make a move?" The tall, thin man grew impatient, his hand already resting on the blood-stained blade at his waist.
"I won't make a move." The stern-faced middle-aged man's answer was straightforward.
The tall, thin man stared at the figure as he stepped into the purple light barrier of the teleportation portal.
The light screen surged, engulfing the figure, before returning to calm.
The portal was empty, with only a faint red mist of blood slowly flowing between them.
"It's all your fault!" The tall, thin man turned around abruptly, his voice laced with suppressed anger.
"Let him go back! How are we supposed to report this to the sect? We just watched the target enter the portal without even lifting a finger?"
The stern-faced middle-aged man stood up from the tree branch, dusted off his sleeves, and said indifferently, "Suit yourself."
"you......"
"I said, it's up to you." The middle-aged man stopped looking at him, turned and walked into the depths of the forest, his figure quickly disappearing into the blood mist.
The tall, thin man stood still, his lips moved, but he ultimately said nothing more.
The other four companions looked at each other, none of them spoke, and simply followed silently.
The portal, two miles away, still stood quietly at the edge of the Bloodthorn Forest, its dark purple light curtain surging as usual, as if nothing had happened.
