Chapter 1113: Rise of a New Era V
"We left the Untamed Jungle…for this?" One of the Silverfang Champions asked Caesus, his eyes squinted to tiny slits.
"What’s the issue with this place?" Caesus grinned back, ignoring the Summon’s doubts.
In fact, most of the Summons doubted Caesus’ actions at this point, but nobody dared to say anything aloud. Until now, at least.
Caesus and his people, including the millions of offspring his Goblins, Spiders, and other tamed creatures had given birth to, had been traveling for more than a month at this point. They evaded the most powerful enemies and sustained only a few hundred casualties in the meantime. Even those casualties could be considered stupidish because some tamed monsters and Summons entered the territory of creatures even after Caesus warned them.

Fortunately, there weren’t any major altercations. There had been some more issues, but most had been dealt with easily.
Michael teleported them to the border of the Untamed Jungle before leaving Caesus and his people to fend for themselves. He offered some guidance, but Caesus rejected anymore help. He was thankful for the help he and his people had received from Michael for the last few decades and wished to stop receiving constant aid from the New Primal.
That was how they ended up traveling for a long time throughout the Origin Expanse without a destination.
"This place has almost nothing to offer," The Silverfang Champion grumbled, but Caesus shook his head.
"You are terribly mistaken about that," He smiled at the Champion.
They were currently at a beach connected to a massive flat plains area. While it was true that there weren’t any mountains and only a few forests nearby, it was also a fact that there were many energy-dense dens and caves nearby. Caesus had already deployed his children to inspect the caves and dense to research their future territory.
Other than the clear lack of resources like wood, one of the farmers mentioned that the plains was far from perfect for agriculture. It would be difficult to transform the lacklustre soil into fertile land to harvest all year. But that was fine.
Why was that fine, though?
Caesus had been studying a lot about monsters to understand which type of monster he could/should tame to grow even stronger. That was also how he discovered various maritime monsters that were useful for his Soultrait. However, he also learned about the most valuable parts of certain monsters, their rarity, and where to find them.
Caesus didn’t know everything about the regions some monsters could be found but he located various powerful monsters near the beach and plains. Monsters that hunted other monsters in the ocean.
That was how his attention got pulled to the massive gulf near the beach. The and shrouded the gulf like pincers, covering a massive area, which could transform into a farm of maritime monsters within a few months or years depending on the difficulty level. One way or another, Caesus discovered several incredibly rare types of fishes.
First, there was the Origin Syphon, a type of fish monster with an extraordinarily high amount of origin energy that was further refined and compressed. The older the Origin Syphon, the higher the purity level of origin energy within them. This type of monster was even more valuable than high-level Energy Stones. In fact, they were perfect to be mixed into food for Non-Awakened to develop their energy systems from a young age.
It was a well-known fact that the Origin Syphon was perfect to nurture young prodigies from a young age. Their energy systems would be several times stronger than the norm while children would also grow accustomed to containing and controlling origin energy. Most children nurtured with Origin Syphon would grow into High Awakened within a few years, no matter how talentless they would have been without Origin Syphon.
Origin Syphon lost its precious potency the older the consumer was, but Caesus didn’t care about that. He didn’t want to use Origin Syphon for himself or his older combatants. He’d use it for the children of the Silverfangs in Tiagro and sell the rest for an exorbitant price in the Cosmic Shop.
The Cosmic Shop, for the records, was a parting gift from Michael, along with a bunch of Coins to purchase various goods. Caesus didn’t wish to use the Cosmic Shop this early on, but if they decided to transform their kingdom in the Origin Expanse into a fishing-focused business, they would have to use the Cosmic Shop right away. They would need durable wood and other resources until the plains’ soil would be transformed into fertile soil.
’Michael will definitely trade Origin Syphon for a great price. He will provide us with enough resources to establish the settlement and get started with everything,’ Caesus thought. Even though he didn’t feel like using the Cosmic Shop to trade with Michael, it was a fact that the Silverfang Summons were the most accustomed to using the massive jungle woods and other materials of the Untamed Jungle for constructs. Michael was also more generous than business-minded Lords. It was easier to convince him to give him more goods in exchange for Origin Syphon.
"Are we really going to stay here?" Another Summon asked, and Caesus nodded.
The Origin Syphon were only one of many monsters that could be found in the gulf. One of the Goblin Shamans just told him that there were several underground lakes with different types of carp and other types of maritime monsters. There was even a massive crystal cave, which had to be researched first in one of the many caves.
That lead Caesus to an early conclusion; the plains was filled with crystal, which contaminated the soil above.
Of course, that might not be the case, but Caesus didn’t care. The Origin Syphon, given that his avian children were located thousands of them from the sky was enough reason to settle down here. They could always expand and explore the ocean to find more precious targets.
Furthermore…fish tasted excellent. Every Silverfang loved fish. Why would they not settle down here where fish was ever present?
Caesus retrieved the Lord Sigil – a special emblem, which could also be considered an advanced version of the Lord Token as it contained everything a Lord needed to settle down wherever he wanted – and placed it down in the plains, far enough to expand in all directions without affecting the beach and ocean gulf, but close enough to shroud a small portion of the gulf in the 10-day Protection Barrier, which he obtained as a newly appointed Lord.
"Oh damn…" Some Summons said in unison, but Caesus only smiled as the wooden manor and Summoning Gate conjured before him.
"Let’s get to work!
