I’ve made it clear, I’m bullying you, so what? Damn it, you came with a few aunts personally, and you dare to bring a gun and even shoot my people. Do you really not care about your life? Li Yifei was baffled, wondering who gave Song Xiaofeng the courage to do something like this; how bold must they be?

Song Xiaofeng heard this and knew he was completely done for today. He buried his face in the dirt, trembling not from struggle but from overwhelming emotion.

The other members of the Song family looked dark-faced, not knowing what to do.

"Go call the police, directly mention my name. If the town doesn’t handle this, report it to the county, or directly contact the police in Mile City. Investigate how the Song family behaves recklessly, to the extent of doing such things.

They actually have a gun. Damn, it’s a good thing my aunts didn’t handle it themselves; otherwise, if something had really happened, Li Yifei thought he would lose it.

The security guards immediately took action. Besides one going down the mountain to buy cement and the like, along with finding workers to repair the ancestral graves, the remaining nine, except for the injured one, tied up these forty or so people with ropes.

Li Yifei had already let a few aunts wait above. If they had nothing to do, they could personally cut the weeds on the grave, or use a shovel to bring some dirt over to fill the grave mounds, which would be a gesture of their intentions.

The police arrived soon, and not just from the town but also from the county. The county was very close, and upon knowing the caller was Li Yifei, the county police immediately reported to their bureau. How much influence does Li Yifei have in Mile City? Not only ordinary people hold him in awe, but the police also respect him greatly, knowing he is definitely not someone to be messed with. Everyone should treat his matters as if they are of utmost importance, not slacking off even slightly. After receiving the call, multiple parties took action, and knowing the situation on the way, they dispatched even more officers, ready to bring back all the Song family members without letting a single one go.

They arrived very quickly; within an hour, about ten police cars drove in, and a group of officers got out. Leading them was the county bureau chief, personally leading the team, neatly dressed, running over and recognizing Li Yifei at a glance. "Xie Zizai reporting to Mr. Li. We will take the people away and thoroughly investigate, with results delivered as soon as possible."

"What is your position?" Li Yifei asked.

"I am the county bureau chief," Xie Zizai replied.

Li Yifei said, "Then investigate carefully. This person had a police-issued gun and just now injured one of my security guards. This matter must not be overlooked."

"Ah?" Xie Zizai was shocked upon hearing this; he had no idea about this aspect. He quickly responded, "No problem, we guarantee a thorough investigation. Men, take these criminals away!"

In an instant, they were upgraded to criminals, indicating that... Xie Zizai was entirely on Li Yifei’s side, so it was bad luck for the Song family for messing with him. Who else would they dare to provoke?

The so-called ignorance leads to fearlessness probably describes them perfectly. Touching the brow of the great figure, they actually did this, Song Xiaofeng was still clamoring, cursing, threatening like a rioter, saying that as long as he doesn’t die, he’ll come out and dig up the ancestral graves.

"Don’t worry, with those few words, you won’t get out," Li Yifei said calmly.

Xie Zizai quickly had someone gag Song Xiaofeng to stop him from further angering Li Yifei, thinking, "You damn troublemaker, you dare provoke Li Yifei? Forget you, even the mayor of Mile City wouldn’t dare to provoke Li Yifei, isn’t that just looking for trouble?

The aunts breathed a sigh of relief. The police came and went, taking away those villagers. Due to the large number of people, they had to call for backup and take them away in two batches. Of course, the villagers were unwilling, but no matter how unruly they were, they couldn’t defy the police and were all escorted away.

The mountain was restored to its scene, with a few loggers also being taken away. However, most of the surrounding trees had been cut down, looking quite desolate. Li Yifei intended to find some people to tidy up. Soon, the security found about ten workers, bringing purchased cement, sand, and professional masons specialized in repairing graves. Seeing Li Yifei ready to fix the graves, a few aunts said, "Yifei, why not find a Master Yin and Yang to choose a date and design some plans? Otherwise, it seems too crude. If the ancestors are dissatisfied, it wouldn’t be good."

Li Yifei mumbled, "There’s nothing wrong with that. These graves are already quite dilapidated; I think it’s better to repair them as soon as possible."

"Is that... okay?" the aunts asked uncertainly.

"It’s fine. I believe the ancestors will understand. If not, we can find a good time in the next couple of years to renovate again, but for now, we should patch it up," Li Yifei said.

The ancestral graves here, the ones above are almost collapsed, and the ones below are from two generations back, like those of my maternal grandfather and people like them. Some of these graves still have a mound, and after discussing with the workers, they agreed that we should just add some soil first and choose another day to repair the graves.

Okay then, we’ll do it your way. Li Yifei nodded, took the shovel in hand, personally brought some soil, and repaired the graves of his maternal grandparents.

There are naturally others to attend to the rest of the graves. After Li Yifei finished, he kneeled and knocked his head three times, burned some paper, and thought of his parents. If they were alive, Li Yifei would certainly let them enjoy life and live to old age. Sadly, the deceased cannot be revived, and he feels powerless.

Collecting his emotions, Li Yifei informed a few aunts, pulled Su Lio and Chu Xiaoyao, and headed to the parking area at the base of the mountain. Both women were very interested, Chu Xiaoyao smiled cheerfully and asked, "Honey, what was that thing you mentioned earlier... what is it? Please reveal the mystery to us."

"You didn’t guess, did you?" Li Yifei asked. Su Lio shook her head and said, "I can sense many lives in the river, but I don’t know what you are referring to."

"Go find a bucket in the car, see which one has one!" Li Yifei instructed the security guard.

The security guard who followed them nodded immediately and quickly found a gasoline container, which contained some gasoline inside. Li Yifei hesitated, filled it with some water from the river, rinsed it a little, and dumped the water further from the riverbank. Coming back, he took off his shoes and socks, rolled up his pant legs, looking like he was going into the river.

"Honey, are you sure you want to catch fish?" Chu Xiaoyao asked.

"It’s more interesting than catching fish," Li Yifei laughed.

"Alright, be careful, don’t run into a snake or anything." Chu Xiaoyao finally let go.

"You should be careful," Li Yifei said, "stand on the bank and be mindful. Also, don’t go into the water; the water is quite cold this season, be careful not to catch a chill."

Chu Xiaoyao was actually eager to go into the water, but after hearing Li Yifei’s words, she replied with a nod, "Okay, I won’t go into the water then."

Su Lio found it quite interesting but had to see what exactly Li Yifei was going to do.

Li Yifei went into the water, which wasn’t deep, just about knee-high. The water was clear, as it coalesced from mountain springs, hence a bit cold, but it didn’t affect him. Li Yifei went straight towards a small stone about the size of a plate. There was some algae on the stone, and a few small inch-long fish scattered away quickly. Li Yifei wasn’t there to catch those fish; they are delicious but too small to warrant catching. He was after another kind of creature.

Underneath the stone, there were traces of sand on one side. From a side view, one could find there was a small hole where the sand met the stone, about the thickness of a thumb—some might be thicker, others thinner, but easily distinguishable as the riverbed had water plants and algae, while the sand next to the stone was particularly noticeable. Li Yifei bent over, immersed his hands into the water, and soon enough grabbed the stone, gently lifting it. The scene beneath the stone was immediately revealed.

Everyone on the bank stared wide-eyed, not just the two women; the security guards were equally curious, wondering what Li Yifei was seriously up to. A few seconds later, Li Yifei flipped the stone backward and then reached out his hand.

"What are you catching?" Chu Xiaoyao asked, her eyes widened, unable to see clearly, somewhat anxious. Su Lio then said, "Looks like some kind of shrimp? I saw claws."

"Shrimp? What kind of shrimp? Something we eat?" Chu Xiaoyao urgently inquired.

Li Yifei had already caught that shrimp; he lifted his hand from the water, holding a strange-looking bluish-black shrimp. Li Yifei shook it, walked a few steps back to the riverbank to show it to the two women and the guards and said, "See? This is what I’m catching."

"What is this? It looks like a crayfish to me, but crayfish don’t look like this!" Chu Xiaoyao said.

Su Lio was equally curious, and upon looking again, some guards showed an expression of realization. Li Yifei chuckled and said, "This shrimp we called ’Lagu’ when we were kids. LAGU, pronounced with three and one tones. Later, I checked specifically; its scientific name should be Northeast black shrimp, another type of shrimp, very delicious. When conditions were tough during childhood, we boys would throw our school bags aside after school, run to the nearby river, get a small basin or bucket, and catch dozens in no time. You grab the middlemost fin of the tail, gently pull it, and the whole intestine comes out. Then pinch this part of the head, gently pull, and all its internal organs come out. That’s where the parasites are, clean it off, rinse with clean water, sprinkle some salt on at home, marinate briefly, and it’s ready to eat. Simple enough?"

Li Yifei described it in detail, with both women’s eyes glittering with the light of food lovers, and Chu Xiaoyao asked eagerly, "Honey, only marinate it with salt? Add nothing else?"
