Chapter 1461: Chapter 1451: Chain Reaction Problems

Jiang Cheng didn’t order any alcohol to accommodate the students. Instead, he joined them in drinking the sweet juice he least preferred.

"Jiang, even though you haven’t been with us for long, we really like you! Without you, we’d still be skipping classes and ignoring rules. We might not even pass exams, let alone have a future!

The former most troublesome student in Jiang Cheng’s class sincerely spoke. Jiang Cheng gently sipped his juice and said, "You’ve brought me a lot of joy too, and I feel honored to be your teacher!" Seeing the increasingly emotional scene, Dong Ran quickly swallowed his feelings to prevent things from getting out of hand and said, "Alright, let’s not say anything that could make people cry. How embarrassing!" Jiang Cheng joined in with a sudden laugh and said, "Alright, alright, everyone hurry up now! The movie starts in only 45 minutes, just like a class session. You all better get moving! Otherwise, you might miss the movie!"

At 9 p.m., as the movie had just ended, a storm suddenly began outside.

Having been inside watching the movie, Jiang Cheng and the students were unaware of the thunderous weather outside. They were rather stunned when they came out and saw the lightning and thunder.

"I was planning to take a taxi home. What should I do now? It looks like there isn’t a taxi in sight!"

"My parents said they would drive to pick me up, but when I called, they said they’re stuck in traffic."

The students complained and stood in place, unsure of what to do.

"How about I drive you all back?" Jiang Cheng thought aloud. Dong Ran frowned and said, "You’re driving a limited edition Bugatti Veyron today. It’s not like it has many seats, you know!"

"Jiang, should you drive each of us back one by one?" Zhou Wei suddenly suggested from the side.

Jiang Cheng shook his head and said, "No, it’s already after 9. It’s not safe for you to be here. Let me figure something out! You don’t need to stress, okay?"

In less than two minutes, Jiang Cheng called his assistant Linda and said, "Can you arrange some company drivers to bring over a few cars to the apartment at Paris Left Bank, outside the exit of the cinema on the basement floor?"

Linda saw that it was past 9 p.m. in Beijing and, hearing the pouring rain outside, couldn’t help but feel a bit puzzled and asked, "What’s going on, Boss Jiang? Are you stuck with someone out there?"

"No, the students I teach have graduated, and I took them out for a meal, then we found it boring, so we watched a movie. Didn’t check the weather forecast and didn’t expect rain, so we’re stuck with no cars to get back." Jiang Cheng explained.

Linda couldn’t help but chuckle in reply, jokingly saying, "You’re not just a great boss, but also an amazing teacher! Hahaha, you take care of meals, fun, and even housing, right?"

"Stop teasing your high-up boss and send the cars over quickly. Send something low-profile, don’t flaunt it!" Jiang Cheng jested with his assistant while giving instructions.

Linda softly coughed a few times and replied, "Sure, they’ll be there in 3 minutes!"

Three minutes later, a lineup of luxurious Rolls-Royces lined up outside the cinema.

"Wow, Jiang, you’re such a tycoon!" Several students gasped. "Gosh, our head teacher is really a King. He must be loaded! How many tens of thousands are these Rolls-Royces parked here? Wait, how many more should be added?"

Jiang Cheng raised his eyebrows and said, "Hop in, everyone. The drivers will safely get you home. Let’s gather again in the future! Call me if you need anything, okay?"

After watching the group of students leave, Jiang Cheng pulled Dong Ran and Zhou Wei onto his car. He planned to personally drive Zhou Wei home and then head back home with Dong Ran.

"Zhou Wei, here’s your house! The umbrella is beside you. Use it to head home! Wait, who is that silhouette standing by the door? Do you know them? Could it be a suspicious character?" Jiang Cheng went from being considerate to a bit worried.

Zhou Wei looked in the direction Jiang Cheng was gazing and replied, "I think that’s my mom!"

"Think? No way, let me accompany you over. Dong Ran, guard the car!" Jiang Cheng told the two youngsters.

Jiang Cheng led Zhou Wei up to the house and, under the streetlight, confirmed that it was indeed Zhou Wei’s mother.

"Xiao Wei, who’s this? Who brought you home?" Zhou Wei’s mother asked, surprised to see Jiang Cheng’s luxury car.

Zhou Wei pointed at Jiang Cheng, smiling, "Mom, this is Jiang Cheng, the teacher I often talk about!"

"Oh, it’s you, Jiang! I’ve heard so much about you!" Zhou Wei’s mother extended a hand to lightly shake Jiang Cheng’s.

Jiang Cheng nodded with a smile and said, "Hello, Zhou Wei’s mom. I’m Jiang Cheng, Zhou Wei’s teacher."

"Jiang, I’m really grateful! You’ve been taking such good care of our Zhou Wei. If you hadn’t encouraged him to pursue his dream of becoming a racing driver, he might not be a renowned member of the racing team today."

"Yes, Zhou Wei has really grown!" Zhou Wei’s mother looked at Jiang Cheng sincerely.

Upon hearing, Jiang Cheng shook his head, "Zhou Wei’s mom, you’re being too kind! Zhou Wei owes his achievements to his talent and hard work. I merely played a role in supporting him."

"You’re so modest! I’m truly, sincerely grateful to you, on behalf of our whole family, for everything!" Zhou Wei’s mother chuckled while speaking.

Jiang Cheng waved at Zhou Wei and his mother, saying, "It’s really my pleasure. Alright, Zhou Wei, help your mom inside. I’ll be leaving now. Be careful in the rain!"

Back in the car, Dong Ran couldn’t wait to start chatting with Jiang Cheng. After living together for so long, the two had grown even closer, sharing everything without reservation.

"You’ve seen us graduate; now you can rest for a while, right? You’ve worked hard!" Dong Ran said jokingly.

Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow and said, "Rest? No way! While I was managing you, you all had exams, and most of the company’s affairs were handled by my assistant and the deputy director. Tomorrow, I have to dive into the company and check the current situation and handle important matters!"

"Why do I feel like you’re having it so tough? You seem exhausted!" Dong Ran looked at Jiang Cheng with some pity.

Jiang Cheng let out a faint, bitter smile and replied, "Kiddo, don’t you know? To wear the crown, one must bear its weight!"

Early in the morning, Jiang Cheng woke up at 5:30 a.m., even earlier than the previous day. He left breakfast and a note on the table, then drove to the company alone.

By 7:30, Jiang Cheng was dealing with some small files left from filling in at the school when his assistant Linda walked in directly.

"Wow, Boss Jiang, you’re actually here? I thought Director Liang from finance had come in to fetch some documents and hadn’t bothered to turn off the lights yesterday!"

Linda said with some surprise.

Upon hearing, Jiang Cheng couldn’t help but frown a little and asked, "During my absence from the company, has anyone frequently been in my office?"

"Why come to my office? There are so many documents and stamps here, is it safe? It’s a good thing I prepared by locking away important documents and personal stamps, so it shouldn’t be a problem." "No, only the deputy director and Director Liang from finance have been here in this period!" Linda responsibly replied.

Jiang Cheng pursed his lips, about to dismiss his assistant when he inadvertently noticed the second drawer on the right was slightly ajar. He checked it, discovering a stack of invoices missing.

"Linda, why do I feel like some invoices are missing from my drawer?"

Jiang Cheng asked, somewhat puzzled.
