Chapter 1358: Chapter 1357: Biotechnology

How have you considered it?" Jiang Cheng asked, confidently believing that no one would refuse the technology he was offering. "I agree to your terms. During the operation of your company, we will make every effort to provide convenience, but what conditions do we have?"

The country is your only client; it doesn’t matter which district you sell to, but it’s limited to our country!" When Li Xian said this, he was very serious, and his tone was filled with an air of refusal.

Jiang Cheng fully understood this requirement because, after all, the Li Family could not possibly support a team company for another country!

Agreed!" Jiang Cheng said pleasantly.

Good, someone will come to contact you with specific matters later. We’ve already arranged the company’s address, chosen the factory location, and the rest is your own business.

It must be said, the Li Family does things so efficiently; in less than an afternoon, they’ve accomplished what I wanted to help with in Yanbang. I just need to stay a few more days to arrange some matters, and then I can return to Wu City.

What about the core issue?" Li Xian asked.

Jiang Cheng laughed heartily and snapped his fingers, and suddenly, a big man emerged from somewhere and stood before Jiang Cheng and the others.

From now on, completely follow his orders," Jiang Cheng said, pointing at Li Xian.

The big man looked up and down at Li Xian, then stored all his data into his database and responded, "Yes!" and then looked at Li Xian.

Li Xian looked at the big man who suddenly appeared before him; at first, he didn’t react, still pondering who this person was. Then he listened to Jiang Cheng’s words and connected them with what his grandfather said, and he realized this was the ultra-realistic robot his grandfather had mentioned!

From the outside, you really can’t tell this is a robot at all! This goes beyond mere mechanical technology; it involves biotechnology as well!

You can take the robot back to study yourself; play with it however you like. But I’m not going to reveal the simulation technology to you; I think it’s better for me to manage this technology for now," Jiang Cheng said. The robot he provided is just an ordinary bodyguard robot with no value to him, but this biotechnology is extremely advanced; if it is revealed now, there will be more harm than good.

Li Xian nodded understandingly. After examining the robot again, Li Xian restrained himself from the impulse to study it immediately, and said to Jiang Cheng and the others, "Have you all eaten yet? How about I treat you to dinner?"

Jiang Cheng and the others agreed. Especially Zhang Mengmeng, who is a foodie; her eyes immediately lit up like a hungry wolf when she heard about food.

Li Xian drove everyone directly to an antique restaurant front. Jiang Cheng looked at it and saw a large plaque hanging at the entrance, with the words "Quanjude" shining brightly.

Quanjude Peking Duck, this has a very long history; it’s said to have been passed down since the Qing Dynasty, and it’s considered a hallmark of Yanbang. People who visit Yanbang and don’t eat Quanjude duck are almost like they’ve come for nothing.

At this moment, Quanjude was already filled with cars in front, and people kept walking toward it, making it bustling.

Seeing this scene, Jiang Cheng thought there might not be any seating available. It seemed Li Xian noticed Jiang Cheng’s thoughts, and he said, "Don’t worry about too many people; we won’t have no seats. There are always a few places empty."

Indeed, not just a renowned restaurant like Quanjude, even some ordinary three-star hotels will have specially reserved private rooms to prevent the embarrassment of not having seats when big figures come to dine.

How could Li Xian’s status be the same as others, waiting outside for a call to enter? We saw Li Xian make a call, say a couple of words, and hang up. Shortly after, a person who looked like a manager ran over to Jiang Cheng and others.

Mr. Li, we weren’t prepared for your arrival! Please don’t mind," the manager said very courteously. As a manager, he had to know some prominent figures in Yanbang, and moreover, Li Xian was a regular customer; so he could immediately find Li Xian upon stepping out. "Manager Xiao, you’re too polite. These are my friends, and I’m treating them to dinner today; you must give us your best hospitality," Li Xian smiled and introduced.

Haha, of course, of course, Mr. Li’s friends are our esteemed guests, and I will make sure to entertain them well," the manager nodded to Jiang Cheng and the others one by one.

"This way, please. The private room is already prepared," Manager Xiao said, leading the way.

Jiang Cheng and the group of four settled into the private room, and already the waitstaff began to serve the dishes one by one.

The main dish, of course, was the roast duck. And the dish appearing on Jiang Cheng and the others’ table was the most famous Yanbang pressed duck.

The uniquely flavored roast duck has over 300 years of history, with written records of grilled duck and roasted duck as early as the Song dynasty and Yuan dynasty. By the Ming dynasty, the palace also featured roast duck, although back then, most of the roast ducks were smaller-sized Nanjing lake ducks, which were inferior to later Yanbang roast ducks.

The name "pressed duck" comes from the way the ducks are raised: they are fed directly by hand by stuffing food into their mouths, hence the name. Ducks raised this way have a strong digestive capacity and grow quickly; by pushing feed into their mouths regularly for fifteen days, the ducks can weigh over three kilograms, and thus have more fat and better meat quality.

Such pressed ducks, after being roasted by Quanjude’s secret method, are uniquely delicious and have a flavorful taste, thus making the famous Yanbang roast duck and indirectly driving the development of Yanbang’s duck farming industry.

The duck arrived with a chef. After everyone had looked at the duck, the chef began slicing it piece by piece on the table-side operation station, then distributed them into each person’s bowl, with lotus leaves and sauces on the table ready for wrapping the duck to eat.

Jiang Cheng and his companions praised the duck without reserve, devouringly eating it. But Zhang Mengmeng seemed a bit downcast. Jiang Cheng pondered slightly and understood the reason behind it.

Zhang Mengmeng has been in Beijing for so many years; there is nothing good to eat here that she hasn’t tried. The duck probably didn’t pique her interest much. Jiang Cheng spoke while eating, "Mengmeng, are you tired of eating duck?"

"Yes, I used to love eating it, but after eating it every day, I got tired of it; now I have no desire at all.

"How about I take you to Wu City in a few days for some good food?" Jiang Cheng displayed an indecent smile like a creepy uncle abducting a young girl named Fei’Er. "Eww, uncle, your smile is so indecent; do you have thoughts about me!" Zhang Mengmeng almost made Jiang Cheng spit out his mouthful of duck, but indeed, he did have some thoughts about her. But don’t misunderstand; to be precise, he had ideas about her talent.
