Chapter 2270 - 2268: Still Being Pursued

Chapter 2270: Chapter 2268: Still Being Pursued

"How do you figure?" The Fourth Elder of Northern State asked skeptically after hearing the Fifth Elder’s words.

"Very simple, if that kid could unleash the full power of Chaos Qi, would he have waited until now? He would have already used it long ago, and the situation wouldn’t be as favorable to us as it is now. And why would he wait until the First Elder of Northern State and those three useless fools got close before using it? It’s because his control over Chaos Qi’s power is limited, and the range of his attack is also limited!" The Fifth Elder of Northern State said confidently with a cold smile.

"Yes, if that kid’s control over Chaos Qi was truly that powerfully destructive, he wouldn’t have waited until now. And after killing those three useless fools, he wouldn’t have fled so quickly either, indicating that his control over Chaos Qi is limited. With the strength of the two of us, we can still hold him off!" The Fourth Elder of Northern State nodded happily in agreement.

"That’s right, regardless of this kid’s background and backup plans, we must kill him, or else there will be endless troubles!" The Fifth Elder of Northern State remarked with a deep frown.

"Indeed!" The Fourth Elder of Northern State nodded in agreement.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Both the Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State quickly pursued forward. Although they were somewhat apprehensive in their hearts, knowing that Ye Tianchen wielding Chaos Qi was indeed a deadly move requiring cautiousness, what terrified them more wasn’t the Chaos Qi, but the prospect of letting Ye Tianchen live and escape!

It was evident how astonishing Ye Tianchen’s innate talent was, shocking everyone. Despite being a young martial artist, he already possessed the strength to battle the older generation of martial artists. His Mid-stage Martial Saint cultivation realm could directly confront Late Stage Martial Saint realm, which was simply an incredible feat. Moreover, Ye Tianchen not only possessed numerous Martial Arts Divine Powers but also held extraordinary treasures. The Ancient Divine Sword, the Holy Heaven Prison, just these two treasures alone made everyone envious, wanting nothing more than to eliminate Ye Tianchen and seize his possessions!

Now, with all five elders of Northern State shamelessly wiping out the Flying Flower Zen Temple and engaging in combat with Ye Tianchen, they had established an irreconcilable feud. It was imaginable that if Ye Tianchen escaped today, given his talent, he would break through to the Late Stage Martial Saint realm within three to five years. By then, would these old fellows have any more good days? Ye Tianchen was a decisive and clear-cut person, and by that time, it would likely be the Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State who would be hunted!

Therefore, for all these reasons, the Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State couldn’t let Ye Tianchen leave alive, chasing him relentlessly, determined not to let Ye Tianchen escape!

At this moment, Ye Tianchen activated the "Holy Heaven Prison," carrying Princess Zi Xuan as they continuously flew forward. Ye Tianchen sat cross-legged beneath the Holy Heaven Prison, and Princess Zi Xuan also sat cross-legged, beginning to heal her injuries. Although the healing time was short, offering limited benefit, it was better than letting the injuries worsen, becoming harder to treat later!

"I didn’t expect you to have Chaos Qi at hand. With that, even if the Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State catch up, we won’t be in much danger!" Princess Zi Xuan smiled at Ye Tianchen as she spoke.

Whoosh!

Unexpectedly, just as Princess Zi Xuan finished speaking, Ye Tianchen suddenly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, startling Princess Zi Xuan. She was puzzled; wasn’t everything fine just a moment ago? When Ye Tianchen struck the first elder and the other three old fools, he was unharmed. So why did he suddenly vomit blood now?

"Are you... are you alright?" Princess Zi Xuan asked worriedly, looking at Ye Tianchen.

Ye Tianchen wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and then said to Princess Zi Xuan, "I’m fine. But we need to leave here quickly!"

"You..." Princess Zi Xuan said, somewhat baffled.

"Given my current strength, operating the Holy Heaven Prison to protect the two of us while escaping is already challenging. When I killed those three old fools, it was with great effort. The Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State are much stronger than those three old fools. Moreover, the two pursuing us seem to have noticed something. They seem to know my use of the Holy Heaven Prison isn’t so smooth and don’t fully unleash the power of the Chaos Qi. That’s why they keep chasing. If I could easily use the Chaos Qi against them, why would I choose to escape otherwise!" Ye Tianchen said with a smile.

It turned out that when Ye Tianchen saw Qin Mu and the three female cultivators being killed, and Princess Zi Xuan was in considerable danger, he had no choice but to recklessly refine the Holy Heaven Prison and, by manipulating the Chaos Qi within, saved Princess Zi Xuan from the hands of the Fifth Elder of Northern State. It was because Ye Tianchen was distracted and reckless in saving Princess Zi Xuan that he was seriously injured by the opportunistic Fourth Elder of Northern State!

Now, although Ye Tianchen had refined the Holy Heaven Prison, his body was turbulent with massive internal injuries. Chaos Qi itself was extremely difficult to control. When the First, Second, and Third Elders of Northern State charged at him, Ye Tianchen deliberately stayed in place, motionless, making the three old fools think he had given up on escaping and was waiting for death. They didn’t expect Ye Tianchen would suddenly wield three strands of Chaos Qi to attack, leaving them without a chance to fight back, resulting in complete annihilation!

It could be said that Ye Tianchen managed to kill the three useless elders with his might and by catching them off-guard. However, killing the Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State wasn’t easy. These two old fellows were the strongest among the five elders of Northern State, and they had already discovered Ye Tianchen’s dealings with Chaos Qi. They knew its power and suspected that Ye Tianchen struggled to wield Chaos Qi. Looking at it this way, the Fourth and Fifth Elders of Northern State might have significantly increased their chances of success!

"Then let’s leave quickly, you just focus on healing, if anything unexpected happens, I’ll take care of it!" Princess Zi Xuan said seriously, looking at Ye Tianchen.

"There’s no need. Although these two old guys are strong, I killed the three elders of the Northern State with one strike, which will make them wary. Even if they continue to pursue us, they won’t dare to get too close, at most they’ll just attack from afar!" Ye Tianchen shook his head and said.

"So are we just going to escape like this and let them chase us?" Princess Zi Xuan thought for a moment and asked.

"So far, I haven’t thought of a better plan, so this is all we can do. You just focus on healing!" Ye Tianchen nodded and said.

Ye Tianchen sat cross-legged beneath the Holy Heaven Prison, and Princess Zi Xuan also sat cross-legged beneath it. Both of them concentrated fully on healing while strands of Chaos Qi descended, protecting them. The Holy Heaven Prison above them swiftly carried them away, heading anywhere as long as they could escape the Northern State’s Fourth and Fifth Elders!

"Damn, that brat is escaping, we need to speed up!" The Northern State’s Fourth Elder said through gritted teeth.

"No, did you forget how the three Northern State elders died? They were killed unexpectedly because they got too close. Although this person is severely injured, the power they can wield with the Chaos Qi is limited. However, getting too close remains risky for us!" The Northern State’s Fifth Elder shook his head and said.

"Then... we can’t just keep following without doing anything, it’s pointless!" The Northern State’s Fourth Elder frowned and said.

"We can make a move, but let’s first test them with long-range attacks!" The Northern State’s Fifth Elder said with a calm smile.

"Fine, I’ll make the first move and see!" The Northern State’s Fourth Elder, unable to resist his ruthless nature, said.

Bang!

Boom!

A punch!

A palm strike!

These were the forces unleashed by the Northern State’s Fourth Elder. When these forces hit Ye Tianchen and Princess Zi Xuan from a distance, they shattered upon striking the Chaos Qi, seemingly unable to even budge it!

"This... it’s useless!" The Northern State’s Fourth Elder said, unable to believe his eyes.

The Northern State’s Fourth Elder, with a Late Stage Martial Saint cultivation realm, had put all his power into that punch and palm strike. Even an Iron Mountain would have been smashed to pieces, and even if they couldn’t shatter the Chaos Qi, they shouldn’t have had no effect at all. Now the Northern State’s Fourth Elder understood why the three Northern State elders were killed in a single strike by the Chaos Qi. Its unbreakable and unparalleled strength was genuinely formidable, not just empty words!

"Long-range attacks don’t seem effective!" The Northern State’s Fourth Elder said, somewhat frustrated.

"This Chaos Qi is unbreakable. The powerful artifact above these two acts as a shield against long-range attacks, making it nearly impossible to injure them!" The Northern State’s Fifth Elder said with a calm smile.

"Then why did you have me attack?" The Northern State’s Fourth Elder asked, displeased.

"I had you attack because I wanted to find out how we could kill him with long-range attacks. Although this Chaos Qi is powerful, the boy’s control over it is limited and hasn’t wrapped them up completely. In that case, there’s still a chance, but widespread killing divine abilities won’t work. We need to use some special treasures..." The Northern State’s Fifth Elder seemed to have planned everything and smiled confidently.
