Chapter 1897: Great Void

"Have you found out anything?" Nathan asked.

"I’m sorry, Master. Not yet." Machina shook her head helplessly. "I have been checking the data regarding the Great Void. It looks like there was indeed something going on in that area far in the past.

"Although nothing was there, we found a spike in spacetime energy and gamma rays. It doesn’t seem to be from an exploding star or something like that.

"If we add your power into the picture, then the situation should be quite clear. There was a battle in the past. From the looks of it, the Great Void had become a perfect place for a lot of things."

"A lot of things?" Nathan narrowed his eyes.

"Yes, Master." Machina raised four fingers. "There are four. I’ll explain each of them in detail. First, it is a graveyard."

"A graveyard for those fighters?"

"Are you saying that there are creatures that are actively expanding the Great Void?"

"Most likely."

Nathan frowned, thinking carefully. "I’m not exactly fond of the fact that there might be another race that I have to fight. The black cell is already terrifying enough."

"We don’t know if these creatures are stronger than the black cell. Well, there is a very low chance."

"No, I’m not worried about that." Nathan sighed.

"What is it you are worried about?" Machina tilted her head while maintaining her poker face.

Nathan scratched the back of his head, wondering if he should talk about it or not. "I don’t know if you’re going to believe this, but my luck is terrible. If I say something irresponsible, it might become a jinx. But well, I think it’s fine to tell you this just for the lesson.

"I’m worried that these creatures will be infected by the black cell as well. In other words, the black cell will have two main armies, the aliens and the creatures in that darkness. As for the details, you should talk to my wives."

"..." Machina looked at Nathan for a moment. No one could believe what he had just said. At the same time, Nathan had a power different from the rest.

His wives were unable to do anything to the universe, but Nathan could change the rules of the universe conveniently for him.

That was why she believed that Nathan could also alter his luck.

Machina nodded. "I understand. I shall input that information into the database."

Nathan paused for a moment to calm down and asked, "So, what’s the last thing you’ve found about the Great Void?"

Machina raised one finger. "It’s the fact that we’re extremely far away from it. I have gone to a few portals according to your request and checked their locations. If you don’t mind, may I use my own star map? I don’t know if you have another star map."

"It’s fine." Nathan nodded. The one he had was from Earth. The Earth’s star map shouldn’t be worse than Machina’s star map. Besides, it wasn’t like he could produce the perfect star map just from his memory alone. He didn’t have the memory for Mae to produce.

Machina then extended her hand, projecting a hologram of the map of the universe. Rather than a flat map, the projection was an oval. The universe expanded in all directions, but it looked like it expanded more slightly on the side.

Because of the 3D model, Nathan gained a bit more understanding of their current location.

He wondered if Earth was actually among these planets. He might be able to return to Earth in the future. It wouldn’t be to conquer it.
