A wolf lying nearby rose to its feet, its ears pricked as its nose constantly scented the air.

The Necromancer frowned slightly as he watched it.

"What is it?"

The wolf naturally could not answer, but its body slowly lowered, claws digging deep into the ground.

That was not the posture of a predator preparing to hunt.

It was caution.

The moment the Necromancer realized that, a pair of eyes suddenly lit up in the forest beyond the plaza. Then came a second pair, a third, and a fourth. Within seconds, dozens of eyes had appeared in the darkness.

One Necromancer immediately raised his staff.

"Monsters?"

No one answered.

The figures remained motionless in the forest for several more seconds before a quiet laugh suddenly sounded.

"Heh heh..."

The Necromancer in the center paused.

"What?"

A female Succubus slowly stepped out from behind a tree. She wore light battle armor, a longsword resting on her shoulder, and her hair was still slightly damp, as though she had only recently finished bathing.

Behind her, more women appeared one after another. Some carried bows, some carried swords, and one was even holding a warhammer almost half the size of her body.

But what made the three Necromancers feel the strangest was not their weapons.

It was their eyes.

The Succubi were looking at the monster army before them with expressions completely unlike people who had just discovered they were surrounded.

One woman looked at the hundreds of Undead and swallowed.

"Sister... there are so many."

The woman beside her looked as well, and her eyes immediately lit up.

"There really are."

The Necromancers: "..."

Another Succubus raised a finger and tried counting several times before quickly giving up. The corners of her lips slowly curved upward.

"If we calculate this by battle merits..."

The woman beside her immediately finished:

"We’re rich."

The Necromancer in the center had no idea what they were talking about. He raised his staff and asked coldly:

"Do you want to die?"

The leading female captain looked at him. Her gaze slowly moved down to the staff, then returned to the face hidden beneath the hood.

She smiled.

"Oh, this one can talk."

A Succubus behind her immediately asked:

"Does it give more points if it can talk?"

"Definitely."

"Then let me have it."

"No." The female captain’s expression immediately turned cold. "I spotted it first."

The Necromancers: "..."

The atmosphere inside the plaza gradually became extremely strange.

Even the Undead, who knew no fear, remained motionless as they waited for orders. But the living monsters beside them had begun reacting. A giant wolf silently took half a step back, immediately drawing the attention of the nearest Succubus.

The wolf stopped.

She stopped as well.

The two sides stared at each other for several seconds.

Then the woman slowly smiled.

"My babies... so this is where you were hiding."

The wolf: "..."

Behind her, another Succubus looked at the Fire Rabbits and clicked her tongue.

"They’re too small."

The woman beside her asked:

"Do they count for points?"

"As long as it’s a monster."

One Fire Rabbit heard the approaching footsteps, turned its head to look around, then ran away without hesitation.

The female Succubus immediately pointed after it.

"It’s running!"

Three women charged forward at the same time.

"Catch it!"

The Fire Rabbit sprinted faster, while one woman shouted as she chased it:

"Don’t run! It’ll only hurt a little!"

The Necromancers: "???"

Before he could understand what was happening, the female captain had raised her longsword, her expression turning serious.

"Attack."

The Necromancer’s staff immediately lit up. Hundreds of Undead roared in unison and surged forward.

Based on their previous experience, when faced with a horde of Undead that outnumbered them many times over, Succubi would immediately tighten their formation, establish a defensive line, and try to hold out.

But tonight was completely different.

The leading female Succubus watched the sea of Undead charging toward them. Not only was there no fear in her eyes, they were visibly glowing.

"They’re here!"

The woman beside her immediately pointed to the left.

"That one is mine!"

"In your dreams!"

"No stealing!"

"I need the top five!"

Before the three Necromancers could understand what was happening, the entire group of Succubi had charged directly into the Undead horde.

One woman slammed her shield into the first zombie, sending its rotting body flying backward into its companions. At the same time, the woman behind her vaulted over her shoulder, drove her longsword through an eye socket, and shattered the undead core.

"One!"

Beside them, another Succubus swung a greatsword horizontally, slicing two Undead in half.

"Two!"

The woman with the shield immediately turned toward her.

"Out of those two, I knocked one down!"

The Succubus with the greatsword refused to give way.

"But I killed them!"

"Split the points!"

"No!"

"You—"

The female captain beheaded another Undead and shouted:

"Stop arguing! Anyone who lets a monster escape loses points!"

The two women immediately fell silent and resumed fighting.

The coordination was so strange that the Necromancers began feeling that something was wrong.

A giant wolf suddenly lunged from the side, opening its jaws toward the shoulder of a bow-wielding Succubus. She immediately rolled aside. The woman next to her raised her shield to block its claws, while a third Succubus circled behind it and slashed hard at its leg.

The wolf roared.

The archer had just risen to her feet. The first thing she did was not draw her bow, but look down at her arm.

The shield-bearer hurriedly asked:

"Are you hurt?"

The archer touched her shoulder and shook her head.

"No. The armor is only scratched."

"Are you sure?"

"I’m sure."

The two women simultaneously breathed sighs of relief. Then their gazes almost immediately turned fierce.

"Then kill it!"

The wolf: "..."

It instinctively took another step back.

The archer immediately drew her bowstring.

"Don’t run."

The wolf turned around and truly ran.

The three women almost immediately chased after it.

"Stop!"

"Come back here!"

"Be a good baby!"

The wolf accelerated even faster.

Elsewhere, a Unicorn Beast had just rammed an Undead blocking its way when it noticed two Succubi already standing in front of it. When it turned left, another woman was there. Turning right did not help either. And behind it, the female captain was slowly walking forward with a smile on her lips.

"Hehehe..."

The Unicorn Beast began backing away.

The captain raised her sword, her voice even gentle.

"Don’t be afraid. I’ll be quick."

The monster trembled before immediately turning and running away.

"CATCH IT!"

An utterly absurd sight began unfolding throughout the plaza.

The Undead, which did not understand fear, continued surging forward. But the living monsters gradually realized that the Succubi before them seemed even more terrifying than the Necromancers behind them.

One Fire Rabbit dove beneath an old car, and two women immediately knelt on either side. One placed her hand on the ground and tried to smile gently.

"Come out."

The rabbit let out a small growl and retreated farther underneath.

The woman rested her chin on her hand.

"Be good."

The rabbit continued pressing itself into the deepest corner.

The Succubus waited several seconds before turning to her companion.

"It won’t come out?"

"No."

"Burn the car."

The Fire Rabbit: "!"

It immediately shot out through the other side.

"Got it!"

In the center of the plaza, the lead Necromancer finally realized that the formation was falling apart. He raised his staff and roared:

"Stop!"

A wave of undead energy instantly erupted. Dozens of strengthened Undead charged forward at once.

The female captain saw the sight, but instead of being afraid, she smiled.

"Monster buff?"

A Succubus behind her immediately understood.

"Then do they count for more points?"

The female captain considered it for a moment.

"Probably."

The Necromancer: "..."

At that moment, he began feeling that he should not remain there any longer.

Another female Succubus suddenly raised her hand.

"Wait."

Everyone around her immediately turned.

She looked at the Undead, then pointed at the Necromancer and seriously analyzed the situation.

"All these zombies are controlled by the one in the cloak, right?"

The woman beside her immediately understood.

"Mhm."

"Then he must be the Boss."

The atmosphere around them suddenly fell silent.

More than twenty faces slowly turned toward the Necromancer.

He froze.

Those eyes were even brighter than when they had looked at the Undead horde.

One Succubus swallowed.

"Boss..."

The woman beside her asked softly:

"How many points?"

"I don’t know."

"But definitely a lot."

"Top five?"

"Possibly."

The Necromancer slowly took a step back.

When the female captain saw that movement, the smile on her face deepened.

"Sisters."

Everyone answered in unison:

"Hmm?"

She raised her sword and pointed straight at the Necromancer.

"Change targets."

The Necromancer immediately turned around.

And ran.

"CATCH HIM!"

The shouting echoed throughout the urban district.

The Necromancer ran as fast as he could, completely unable to understand what was happening. During the day, these Succubi had nearly been crushed beneath the monster horde. Yet only a few hours later, he was the one being chased like prey by an entire army.

One Succubus used Wind elemental energy to accelerate and leaped onto a rooftop. Another circled into the alley on the right, while the female captain ran straight down the road and continuously shouted:

"Don’t let him escape!"

The Necromancer looked back.

Dozens of figures were charging toward him. Every face was filled with excitement—no fear, no exhaustion, only a kind of greed that sent chills down his spine.

One woman shouted as she ran:

"Stop!"

The person behind her immediately added:

"It’ll only hurt a little!"

The Necromancer ran even faster.

He had just rounded a building when a figure suddenly leaped down from the rooftop and slammed into the road ahead, lightly cracking the ground.

The female Succubus slowly stood upright, raised her longsword, and looked at him with a terrifyingly gentle smile.

"Found you."

The Necromancer: "..."

Behind him, footsteps were already drawing close.

He looked to the left.

Someone was there.

He turned to the right.

There was someone there as well.

When he panicked and turned back, the female captain had appeared behind him at some point. Her sword rested on her shoulder, her face filled with amusement.

"Run some more."

The Necromancer opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, dozens of figures charged at him simultaneously.

"AAAAAAAAA!"

A miserable scream echoed throughout the ruins.

In the distance, a giant wolf heard the scream and immediately ran faster, but the three Succubi behind it continued chasing with unwavering determination.

"Baby!"

"Don’t run!"

"We only need a few points!"

The wolf did not turn back.

That night, the monsters around the valley understood something for the first time.

Sometimes, the prey could be hungrier than the hunter.
