Chapter 1126: He’s Getting Too Powerful

  • Next Chapter

There were multiple rules that Sicario had to follow to make sure that the [Time Freeze] Attribute worked properly. The first rule was that Sicario could not manipulate the objects frozen in time. Time was a very delicate concept, and the moment Sicario manipulated an object he had frozen in time, the spell would be broken and time would resume moving! So even if Jason was now unable to move, it wasn’t possible for Sicario to move Jason around or even touch him at all. And secondly, the moment anyone steps in or out of the [Time Freeze] radius, the [Time Freeze] will be broken!

Sicario made sure that Jason was properly frozen before he slowly began to move back. Sicario looked at all the dangerous creatures around him, and for a moment Sicario wished that he could actually touch them so he could get rid of a few of them, but there was nothing Sicario could do to them! The moment Sicario touches any one of them, they would all begin moving again! Sicario simply gave Jason another close look before he turned and began to walk.

"Open the Gate."

Sicario spoke loudly, and a Dimensional Tear opened just outside the [Time Freeze] radius in front of him. Ulysses and Enkidu had already carried Theosis away, so Sicario was the only one left. Sicario stopped at the edge of the hundred-meter radius and turned around. Sicario knew that Jason couldn’t respond to anything he said, but Sicario still felt like he needed to say this.

"I hoped we would be able to work together, Jason. But it’s obvious that you and I are too different. We’ll meet again, sometime in the future. And this time it’ll be as proper enemies. I hope you won’t hold my actions against me when that time comes. I am simply doing what I must to avenge the people I love."

This was all Sicario said before he turned and walked into the Dimensional Tear and vanished from Tarisavia.

.....

[An Unknown Location]

[Sicario’s Mansion]

Sicario walked out from the other side of the Dimensional Tear, and he appeared within a large hall in his mansion and sent a nod to Bathseda. Bathseda was sitting to the side in their floating chair, and they deactivated their Arcane Art and finally closed the portal.

"Get the hell off me."

Ulysses spoke in an annoyed voice as she threw Theosis off her shoulder, and the Mind Apostle fell to the floor like wet paper and simply began to bleed out on the ground. Ulysses had a lot of irritation on her face as she looked down at the Mind Apostle, and for a moment, she actually thought about killing him right there. Ulysses had been in the middle of her own mission when she got the call from Sicario to go and help Theosis, and the only reason why Ulysses had gone at all was because she knew that this was important to their mission! If there was even the slightest chance that they didn’t need Theosis, then Ulysses would’ve easily let him die!

"Be careful with him. He can’t die yet."

Enkidu spoke up as she floated towards Theosis’ motionless body, and Ulysses scowled at Enkidu in irritation before speaking:

"Don’t tell me what to do, you bitch."

"Fuck off, Ulysses. This isn’t the time."

Enkidu turned to Ulysses with a scowl, and Ulysses stepped forward.

"Make me."

An intense pressure was already building in the room as the two women faced off against each other. Even though they both worked to help Theosis just a few minutes ago, there was no love at all between them, and Ulysses still hated Enkidu just as much as she hated Theosis. But Sicario finally stepped forward.

"That’s enough, both of you. We don’t have time for your bickering."

Sicario frowned at the two women, and Enkidu immediately accepted his words and turned away, but Ulysses hesitated for a moment and glared at Sicario before she finally clicked her tongue and turned to walk away.

"Whatever. I’m getting back to work. If you need me again, then make sure it’s for something more important than that useless bastard staining the floor with his worthless blood. And take this trash before I break it."

Ulysses waved her hand back as she said this, and the space above Theosis opened! The cylinder containing the brain of Jolene fell to the ground and rolled across the floor. Sicario knew that this brain was the only reason why Theosis was helping him, so he asked Ulysses to secure it with her Reality Art the moment she saw it. Sicario watched Ulysses walk away for a few seconds before he ignored her and spoke to Enkidu.

"Take Theosis and try to help him. His injuries are severe, and with his condition, it might become even worse. We need to make sure he doesn’t die."

Enkidu nodded, and she put her hand out and used the wind to carry Theosis’ body away. Sicario then turned when he saw that Bathseda was still waiting there, and he asked them what they wanted.

"Do you want to talk to me?"

Bathseda hummed before they asked.

"Why did you let him go? With how close the appointed time is, wouldn’t it have been better to just take Jason now and keep him in stasis until we need him?"

Sicario immediately shook his head.

"No, that wouldn’t be possible. All the variables aren’t in place yet, and Jason is too powerful. If we tried to keep him in stasis until the appointed time, there is a high chance he would’ve escaped, and that would only make it easier for him to kill us all. Let him be free for now."

Bathseda hummed.

"But with how fast he’s growing, wouldn’t it be even harder next time? Just a few months ago, he was still a TITAN, but now he is a Rank I PRIMORDIAL. The next time we see him, he’ll definitely be even stronger. Are you sure you can handle him when that happens?"

"Yeah, I have a plan for that as well. Just leave the minor details to me."

Sicario seemed so certain of himself in that moment that there was nothing Bathseda could say anymore. Bathseda had felt the intense pressure of Jason’s mana firsthand just now, and even without fighting him, Bathseda knew that Jason would be one of the most difficult people to take down. Not only did Jason have his own power, but he also had an entire army of soldiers that could help him. The only reason it looked like they won this battle was because they had been focusing on escaping rather than actual fighting. If they fought, Bathseda didn’t know if they could all win against someone like Jason.

Sicario noticed the concern on Bathseda’s face, and Sicario knew that he needed to assure Bathseda at that moment. If they allowed doubt to start creeping into their minds, then they would never be able to complete this mission.

"Bathseda, you don’t need to concern yourself with Jason’s power. I already took every variable -"

DOON!

A sudden pressure tore through the room and cut Sicario off before he could finish! Both Sicario and Bathseda turned to the side in shock when they felt the pressure, and Sicario’s eyes widened when he recognised who it was.

’What the hell is she doing here?’

Sicario watched as a Dimensional Tear ripped open in the space in front of him, and a sexy woman wearing a long black gown walked out with a condescending frown on her face.
