Chapter 589: Chapter 383: Ending the National War
After another half hour or so, a newcomer finally arrived at the Free Market.
It was a female Player, looking around sixteen or seventeen. She was strikingly beautiful with bright eyes and a dazzling smile. Her name was Chen Shiyi.
Wang Yi looked at her character information and was shocked. Chen Shiyi was incredibly another Player with an S-rank Talent! Her identity was also a "Solitary Wanderer," and her S-rank Talent was called [Mobile Territory]!
As soon as Chen Shiyi stepped into the Free Market, the entire small island rapidly transformed. Green grass sprouted from the ground, massive boulders emerged, and a colossal pyramid-like structure that seemed to be made of crystal materialized behind her.
Perched atop that massive building was none other than a Giant Dragon.
It was a standard Magic Giant Dragon. Visually, it was over ten meters long with a pair of wings and scales like rubies. As it lay there, its massive lizard-like physique inspired sheer terror.
"Mad, is that a Red Dragon?! Goodness, this is a Magic invasion!" Yue Zheng exclaimed in astonishment.
Chen Shiyi swept a cold glance over Yue Zheng and Wang Yi. "You have invaded my territory. Prepare to face my wrath!"
"ROAR!"
The Red Dragon atop the pyramid structure seemed to play along as it rose to its feet. It let out a low growl, then opened its maw to spew crimson Dragon Flame into the sky—an utterly terrifying sight.
Wang Yi’s heart skipped a beat, and Yue Zheng took a quick step back.
Suddenly, Chen Shiyi broke into a smile, her entire demeanor completely shifting. She waved her hand dismissively. "Just joking with you guys, don’t be so tense. I simply moved my territory over here temporarily. Little Red, quiet down!"
The Dragon Flame-spewing Red Giant Dragon immediately snapped its jaws shut. Obedient as a little kitten, it coiled back down and even let out a yawn.
"I’m new here, so I hope I didn’t scare you. Just keep doing whatever you were doing and don’t mind me. I’m going to study this small island first."
With that, Chen Shiyi clasped her hands behind her back and began strolling around by herself.
Wang Yi thought to himself that there really were all kinds of Players out there. Neither this Chen Shiyi nor Ye Tianqi, the Temple Master of Qixia Temple, could be underestimated.
Moreover, Chen Shiyi walked right over to the vending machine, operated it briefly, and bought a Storage Ring.
She then looked over the items Wang Yi and Yue Zheng had laid out, picking and choosing as if she were out shopping. She even haggled with them, eventually buying some weapons and equipment from Yue Zheng, and a few Hemostatic Pills and Crispy Fried Small Fish from Wang Yi.
"I also have some good stuff I don’t need on hand. I’ll just set up a stall right next to you guys," she said.
True to her word, Chen Shiyi opened her Storage Items and laid out some sparkling goods in front of her. Wang Yi looked over and saw Magic Crystals, magic cores, Crimson-Scaled Tiger teeth, Shadow Wolf pelts, Small Life Potions, and much more.
They were all Magic-style items.
Yue Zheng nudged Wang Yi’s arm and whispered, "I’m afraid this woman isn’t a Player from our Golden Sparrow Country."
Wang Yi nodded. "We still don’t know the world’s background yet. There are probably other kingdoms outside of Golden Sparrow Country, so it’s not surprising to see some Western Magic settings."
"Yeah, let’s go check out the goods she’s selling too."
Yue Zheng walked over to Chen Shiyi’s stall, and Wang Yi followed. He was much more direct, asking, "Little girl, do you have any Chaos Blind Boxes for sale? Or resource-type building blueprints that can provide food?"
"I do, I do!"
Chen Shiyi nodded and directly brought out a purple Chaos Blind Box. That wasn’t all; she then brought out several cloth sacks one after another.
Wang Yi examined them. The cloth sacks were all the same size, about twenty centimeters tall. They were system items named [Wheat Seeds].
[Wheat Seeds: Wheat seeds improved and cultivated through Magic. This bag of wheat seeds can be planted in one mu of land. They can be sown in any season, adapt to multiple climates, and are highly resistant to drought and cold. They mature in three months, yielding 600 to 1,000 kilograms per mu upon harvest.]
"Maturing in one season, plantable year-round, with a yield of 600 to 1,000 kilograms per mu. That’s very good!" Overjoyed, Wang Yi hurriedly asked, "How much for the blind box? And how much for the wheat seeds?"
Chen Shiyi replied, "According to the system’s pricing, a Green Blind Box is only 10 Gold Coins. Mine is purple, which is two tiers higher than the green one. I won’t rip you off: 500 Gold Coins."
Just then, monsters began pouring out of the Void Rift.
They were a pack of hunchbacked humanoid skeletons. They weren’t large, about the size of eight or nine-year-old children. Shreds of flesh hung from their frames, and their mouths were full of sharp fangs. They possessed massive palms with razor-sharp nails. Swarming out of the spatial rift like a colony of ants, their sheer, densely packed numbers from the very beginning were a terrifying sight to behold.
"Ghouls!"
Wang Yi could see the simple information about these monsters. His heart skipped a beat, realizing that the difficulty had indeed drastically increased. Just looking at the sheer numbers and horrifying appearance of those Ghouls, most ordinary Indigenous People would be scared so senseless their legs would turn to jelly. How could they even fight?
In the courtyard of the Foreign Affairs Department.
Yang Wanli lay weakly on the ground, too exhausted to move even a single finger.
He had summoned a total of 120 Skeleton Infantry. They crammed the courtyard full, terrifying Yang Qingxiu and the others so much that they didn’t dare approach.
Meanwhile, Wang Yi, piloting Prototype No. 1, stood atop the Floating Mountain.
Man Datou was also on the Floating Mountain. He was equipped with the General Armor and the Iron-Clad Bow, with the Sand River Tyrant Halberd resting beside him.
The 120 Skeleton Infantry stood at the very front. The Civilian Militia and Octagonal Cage Soldiers were itching for action. Jelena was also among the crowd; standing calmly on the back of a Rock Giant Scorpion, she gazed ahead without the slightest trace of panic and shouted, "Civilian Militia, ready your bows!"
