Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 687 Good With Pain

As Kyle looked at the two things he had gotten, he couldn’t help smiling.

‘Bro! This is amazing! Even more, I don’t even have to spend any Contribution Points! I get all this shit for just a bit of work that wasn’t even dangerous!’

The next moment, Kyle looked at his schedule.

‘200 years until our next gig as Rarity Hunters, and when my shift is done, I will be sent to the next organization. That means I got 200 years of uninterrupted me-time!’

Kyle looked at his tenth Cluster. ‘Still about 160 years left, and I don’t even need to focus on this thing.’

The next moment, Kyle thought about what he should do, or more precisely, how he should prioritize his time.

‘I have a couple of things I could do.’

‘Comprehend the next level of materials. Don’t wanna lose access to my hammer when I get stronger.’

‘Comprehend other Laws to catch up with the Crushers, but that should have the lowest priority. Right now, that’s a bit of a waste of time.’

‘Keep swinging my hammer to chase whatever it is I’m chasing.’

‘Try to go for the Law of Mind.’

‘Try to go for the Law of Center.’

Kyle evaluated his options.

‘I’m really into that entire hammer-swinging thing, but focusing on something else might help me improve faster. I think increasing my fundamentals would be better.’

‘I think I should focus on comprehending the Law of Mind and the Law of Center. Improving these two things will also save me time when it comes to comprehending Laws. It’s kinda like a base multiplier.’

‘Improving my Law of Mind should be my priority. Being smarter probably makes it easier to understand stuff.’

‘What would a smart person do? How am I supposed to know? I don’t know the Law of Smart!’

When Kyle asked himself that question, an answer popped into his head.

Then, he pulled out his Communicator and searched for the Law of Mind and the Law of Center.

‘A smart person would try to find more information to make a better decision.’

Sadly, Kyle didn’t find a lot about those two Laws.

The Communicator just said that the two Laws could do.

Another thing was that there were common patterns of talent in the different Aspects of Power.

Most of the time, one’s talent in the different Aspects was split in two.

People who were talented with the body were very often also talented in the Soul.

The reason was simple.

Feeling.

Using one’s Soul was about feeling their surroundings and controlling everything around them with feeling. At the same time, a body was also mostly controlled via feeling.

Meanwhile, people talented with the mind were very often also talented with the Center. These two Aspects were much more about logic and calculations.

Most of the time, people were talented in two Aspects, and they were less talented in the other two.

‘It’s pretty obvious which category I belong to,’ Kyle thought.

Unlocking the two Aspects one wasn’t talented in was not easy.

Many Seekers failed, even with the help of different resources.

However, to become truly powerful, one needed all four.

The Communicator made one thing very clear.

Primals needed the Level Two Law of Body to become Crushers. Crushers needed the Level Two Law of Center to advance. Sages needed the Level Five Law of Mind to advance. Spirit Lords needed something even crazier.

Spirit Lords needed to know all four Level Five Laws of Aspects to advance.

Naturally, just like how the Law of Wind had different levels, the Laws of Aspects also had different levels, which mostly talked about the different levels of “existence”.

Tertiary, Secondary, Primary, Supreme.

The Level Two Laws dictated the Aspects of a Secondary Existence, while the Level Five Laws dictated the Aspects of Primary Existence.

Every third Realm Advancement changed the fundamentals of a Seeker.

Becoming a Transcendent.

Becoming a Sage.

Becoming an Immortal.

‘Even your weakest Aspect has to be good enough to become powerful,’ Kyle thought before sighing. ‘Just sucks that this doesn’t help me at all with my decision.’

But then, he got another idea.

The next moment, he left his home gym and went to the big hall with all the TVs.

He found a couple of people watching TV while a lot of the other ones were talking about random topics.

When Kyle had just gotten here, he hadn’t been entirely sure why such talented people would just sit around, doing nothing. All of the people here had gotten here due to their hard work. They were definitely not the lazy kind.

But now, after becoming a Rarity Hunter, he knew.

They probably wanted to do stuff, but they couldn’t.

Almost all of them were on-call.

Rarity Hunters and Defenders had shifts, and they needed to be ready to go out at any moment.

There wasn’t a lot of time for Law Comprehension with the constant interruptions.

After sitting down, Kyle seamlessly inserted himself into a random conversation. His past with the Stark Brotherhood had taught him how to make a good impression on a big group of people.

He quickly gained some casual friends by talking about his stints as an Exchange Seeker.

The others found his stories hilarious.

After a while, someone made a comment about how much it sucked that he had to comprehend the Level Five Law of Mind to advance.

Naturally, this was someone in the Wisdom Fire Realm.

“Why? Not very talented with the mind?” Kyle asked.

“Nah,” the guy answered casually. “I’m a fighter, not an Array Engineer.”

“Same,” Kyle said. “I already got that thing for the Law of Mind for people talented in the Law of Soul, but I don’t know when I should use it and if it’s even worth it.”

“Oh, it’s worth it,” the guy answered casually. “I’m not a brain-guy, but the Minor Law of Mind really helped with a bunch of stuff. You should absolutely focus on it. By the way, how did you get your hands on that? Are you an Inner Disciple?”

“Exchange Seeker,” Kyle said with a smirk. “The last organization just gave that to me.”

The man laughed loudly. “Right! I forgot! Man, Core Disciples are treated way better than Outer Disciples.”

“But how should I prioritize it?” Kyle asked. “Like, should I go at it right now? I mean, there’s also other stuff I can focus on.”

The man just casually looked at Kyle.

He seemed friendly and relaxed, but he was still in the Wisdom Fire Realm, and more importantly, he was in the Array of Stars.

Nobody here was weak or untalented.

“How long until your tenth Cluster is done?” the man asked.

“160 years or so,” Kyle answered.

“You goin’ for twelve?” the guy asked.

“Yep,” Kyle answered.

“Good man!” the guy shouted as he slapped Kyle’s shoulder.

The next moment, the guy casually dug around in his right ear with his small finger while grinning at Kyle.

“How good are you with pain?” he asked.

Kyle looked with discomfort at the man.

He was very, very good with pain.

But he didn’t really want to tell the guy why he was so good at dealing with pain.

Sin Flames were kind of a big deal.

“Very confident,” Kyle said.

“Well then,” the guy said. “Then, you should try to go for the Law of Mind when you’re unlocking the eleventh Cluster. If you can keep your focus with all the pain, it might even help you.”

“Until then, you should focus on the Law of Center. Getting it isn’t that hard.”

Kyle nodded. “Thanks!”
