Chapter 2233: Chapter 2233: Sisters

Queen Diana didn’t speak much with Shard and Dorothy; she merely praised Dorothy’s script and Shard’s acting. It was only after the servants escorted the Queen away that Shard, holding a wine glass, asked:

"When is Angelina planning to leave?"

"Today is Tuesday. Galina said they’re ready over there, probably leaving on Thursday night."

Dorothy replied. She was also accompanying Tifa’s group to Moon Bay but planned to return from Dragon Nest upon arrival, thus not feeling far from home.

"Are Angelina’s bags packed?"

Shard asked again, and Lecia nodded with her wine glass:

"I’ve helped her pack. I expect she’ll be staying there for a good half-month or even a full month, so I’ve prepared a lot of luggage. But if she lacks anything, I won’t hesitate to deliver it myself."

Angelina nodded heavily, though she was actually thinking about finally being able to go somewhere without anyone watching over her. Perhaps she could use this chance to do something... like explore her relationship with Shard.

"Angelina, don’t miss home too much. If we’re lucky, once you arrive at Moon Bay, I might show you some surprises."

Shard smiled again, hinting at handling the demon situation smoothly so that, with Emilia’s consent, Angelina could visit that Little Unicorn.

Angelina nodded again, pondering whether to buy some books at Moon Bay since most of her books had been taken by Lecia.

"Alright, alright, Angelina is seventeen now; she’s quite mature. Let’s not treat her like a child."

Lecia handed her wine glass to Angelina and pointed to the noble ladies standing together and waving:

"Look, your friends are waiting for you. Go ahead, say goodbye to them, have fun at the party. There won’t be parties like this at Moon Bay."

"Got it, sister."

The Little Princess in a golden gown said softly, then heard Lecia tug Shard’s sleeve, saying:

"As for you, knight, let’s go greet Aunt, and then I’d like to invite you to see my newly found handwritten copy of ’Summer Night Collection.’

She smiled playfully, nudging Dorothy:

"Or you two go first; I’ll join you after seeing Aunt."

Angelina pursed her lips but couldn’t stop her. Bearing a slight unfamiliar inner feeling, she waved goodbye to Shard and the others, then left without looking back.

"You deliberately said that in front of Angelina, didn’t you?"

Shard asked, and Dorothy just laughed on the side while Her Highness the Princess nodded:

"Of course, I did. I know her well; she was probably praying just now that I don’t visit Moon Bay often. Angelina is always so pure... but I love her purity, so I needed to give her a heads up. Of course, if she dares to surprise me in Moon Bay, I’ll be thrilled, but I think Angelina doesn’t have the guts yet."

"You sisters have a complicated relationship."

Shard whispered, but Lecia ignored it and gestured for Shard and Dorothy to follow her:

"Let’s go see Galina. Shard, don’t be in a rush; we should make a round at the party. Only when the atmosphere is lively should we leave."

Luviya was still with Miss Galina, and when the three of them went over, Miss Galina confirmed Tifa’s itinerary with Shard. Later, Lecia stayed where they were, and Shard followed his companion for the evening, Dorothy, to meet many cultural and literary figures of the Kingdom.

Once they finished making the rounds, Shard led Dorothy back to the spacious floor-to-ceiling window area in the banquet hall to rest, and extended an invitation to Lecia, who was discussing tonight’s constellation with Luviya:

"Your Highness, I heard you have a handwritten copy of ’Summer Night Collection’?"

The Red-Haired Princess stood up with a smile, the Duchess and the purple-eyed Miss Diviner bid her goodbye with a playful smile before she clicked along in high heels and left with Dorothy, following Shard.

The room had already been prepared, and none of them spoke as they moved up to the top of the third floor. The maids, who had gone up ahead of time, opened the door for them and, once inside, locked it from the outside, standing guard at the door.

Inside the room, Lecia and Dorothy instinctively held hands. After a swarm of Red Butterflies flew by, the two girls became one.

Long golden-red hair cascaded down her back, and her blue-white gown twirled with her turn, but her emerald eyes remained unchanged:

"Knight!"

She reached out to Shard, then shook her head with a smile and switched to another name:

"Dragon~"

Their hands joined together, and with a slight effort, Shard let the girl tumble into his embrace. Red light emanated from her, and as red butterflies scattered everywhere, the girl he was holding turned back into two people.

Two pairs of emerald eyes gazed with similar emotions at Shard, who was close by. The golden-haired girl bit her lip softly, while the Red-Haired Princess moved her lips closer to Shard’s ear. The blend of similar but distinct perfumes made Shard feel almost unable to breathe:

"Dragon, you helped us sisters just now, but didn’t claim your reward~"

Shard was taken aback, looking at the girl with a rosy face in his arms:

"The bond you sisters have shown me is already enough."

Miss Writer, also blushing slightly, said:

"But didn’t you imply that you couldn’t ask for a reward in front of so many people, so was that just social talk earlier?"

The Red-Haired Princess nodded with a smile:

"Now that our little sister has been rescued, we are also willing to let you claim a reward. What do you want from us? Anything is possible."

Dorothy’s eyes held a hint of shyness, while Lecia’s curved eyes conveyed a meaning that made Shard’s heart race.

Seeing that Shard couldn’t think of the right words, the empathetic girls took his hand together and walked towards the four-poster bed adorned with three layers of soft mattresses and a red sheet, hanging with sheer curtains:

"Dragon, oh Dragon, please~ devour us."

The Day of the Red Butterfly lasted for a full twenty-four hours, so when the celebration for His Majesty the King’s birthday ended Tuesday night, Angelina hurriedly escorted the three back to No. 6, Saint Delan Square with the maids.

The princesses stayed overnight here, and the Little Princess spent the night with the cat who couldn’t enter the bedroom, not seeing her sister again until ten on Wednesday morning.

By then, Shard had already left with Mia for Moon Bay, and Angelina, waving goodbye to Shard with a sweet smile at the basement door, adjusted her expression before returning to the second floor with the maids to ask in front of the still closed bedroom door:

"Sister, should I prepare your lunch for you?"

"Angelina, come in."

Unable to distinguish whether it was Lecia or Dorothy’s voice, Angelina hesitated and looked at the maids behind her, but the ladies all gave helpless glances to their Highness.

So she had no choice but to steel herself and push the door open, only to find that the bedroom was not as she had imagined... chaotic.

The window was open, and the bright morning sunlight flooded the room. There were no clothes or strange marks on the floor, nor was there an embarrassing scent in the air. Everything was neat and tidy, even the bed was meticulously made. The pillows were placed neatly at the head of the bed, the quilt folded into a square in the center of the bed, with not a single crease on the sheet.

Angelina could even imagine how soft the bedding would be, she even caught the unique and pleasant scent of the sun-dried quilt.

Such tidiness also made the room seem somewhat empty, her gaze was drawn to the red-gold-haired girl gazing at the city by the window, her oddly gleaming hair swaying gently in the breeze, and not turning back, the Little Princess spoke softly:

"Sister."

She knew some of Lecia’s secrets, and thus understood the current situation.

"Shard used his arcane technique - [Fiona’s Housekeeper], sacrificing an obsidian to clean the room."

Lecia and Dorothy answered the question in Angelina’s heart, pausing for a moment before saying:

"Tomorrow evening, you’ll be leaving with Aunt’s maid Miss Servit. Before you go, I have some things to tell you. Don’t speak, just listen carefully."

Their fused state was almost equivalent to being half a Chosen of Space, it was just a simple conversation, yet Angelina felt an odd pressure. She nodded silently, wondering why her sister waited until Shard had left to say these things.

"I know what you’re thinking, Angelina."

Her hand was on the windowsill as she looked at the summer Tobesk under the marvelous weather:

"I also know what you want, Angelina."

The seventeen-year-old girl instinctively clenched her fists, yet bit her lip and relaxed:

"Sister, I..."

"If you want it, go get it, that’s my personality and approach. I never mind if you do the same, Angelina, never mind at all."

It was then that she finally turned around, her emerald green eyes glistening against the sunlight:

"This time when you go to Moon Bay, I don’t require you to learn too much, but at least understand what you truly want."

Angelina felt she already understood her desire, and those emerald green eyes opposite her seemed to read her thoughts like a mind reader:

"You want Shard, right?"

The neckline of her blue and white long dress was slightly open, Angelina’s gaze swept over that neck downward, half a kiss mark covered by clothing, and the lower half of the kiss mark was... the Little Princess lowered her eyes, taking a long time to gently nod, believing that not admitting it would be the real insult to herself.

But Lecia and Dorothy were not satisfied:

"But I believe, Angelina, you haven’t truly seen yourself."
