Chapter 368: Removal of blessing

Kyle wasn’t affected by the bond she had offered him back then.

At the time, Kyle could only accept that Artemis had helped him by bestowing her blessing upon him. Yet by doing so, she had also drawn the attention of those who had been deliberately ignoring his presence until that point.

Before receiving her blessing, he had already been targeted by the other side. Afterward, however, both Devils and angels had turned their attention toward him.

Now, having unlocked his Origin, he could easily suppress that blessing for the benefit of both sides.

His refined Genesis would draw an excessive amount of energy from the moon whenever he emerged into the light, and that constant drain would inevitably weaken his mortal shell.

Moreover, having an apostle of such overwhelming strength would affect Artemis as well, particularly her standing among her peers.

Powerful apostles granted their deities greater strength, which meant Artemis’s position among her sisters would rise considerably. Yet Artemis herself had no desire for that. Such an imbalance would inevitably create a rift between the three sisters, and the consequences of that conflict could spread across countless beings and realms.

So yes, at this point, the blessing had become a burden to both of them.

’If she tries to establish a connection with me, Ares would have an even stronger say in what happens to me. And I don’t want that.’

Odin: [But my Lord, he has been thoroughly warned. And if he crosses his boundaries...]

Tear: [I will kill him.]

The chat fell silent.

It was as though everyone had suddenly become too cautious to say another word after Death herself had spoken.

However, Kyle’s gaze remained cold and unwavering.

’You won’t do anything to him, Tear. And that is not a request.’

His eyes were unnaturally still as he made his position unmistakably clear.

’I can’t remember the last time I felt such an urge to crush someone. Ares has given me something. Now, when the time comes, I must repay him in kind.’

The words echoed through the stream, reaching every corner of the chat. Everyone heard him loud and clear.

For several moments, there was no response.

Then, at last, a quiet message appeared.

[Understood, Father. I am sorry.]

Kyle’s expression finally relaxed. Leaning back against the edge of the pool, he turned his attention toward Odin.

’Find Artemis and bring her into the chat. I need to have a word with her.’

Odin: [Understood. However, my Lord, it might take some time.]

Kyle nodded.

’Alright. Just let Aleda know when I can speak with her. I’ll free up my schedule. And also, you all can call me by my name like before.’ he added that got an energetic response from Freya followed by a confirmation about the arrangement.

Then the conversation gradually shifted in a more casual direction.

Kyle asked about their well-being and whether everything was proceeding smoothly throughout their respective realms and domains.

Odin, however, had been dealing with some difficulties recently, particularly with the increasingly clear division between those who opposed Kyle’s existence and those who remained neutral.

’Don’t worry. As time goes by, they will have no choice but to change their minds.’

Kyle assured him calmly, already aware that his growing influence would inevitably alter the way they viewed him.

After a brief pause, Kyle decided that he had already spent more than enough time in the pool. With that thought, he muttered, ’Right. I might start streaming again. So, using whatever feature it was, how about granting me skills like you used to?’

[Host?]

Freya: [Another stream? Yeaaah!]

The two reactions were completely different, prompting Kyle to explain himself before Freya could get too excited.

’I am asking for those skills for my apostles. Don’t worry, I won’t be drawing too much attention to myself again.’

He had to be extremely calculative before making such a decision.

Since his apostles were extensions of himself, he could bestow skills upon Ethan and Amanda whenever he wished. However, his own skills were far too powerful for either of them to handle safely. Something he received from the stream as a reward, on the other hand, would be a much better choice.

That way, he could strengthen his apostles without recklessly exposing himself or giving the other gods another reason to pay attention to his actions.

Odin: [Understood. We will await your arrival.]

And with that, the stream ended.

However, Kyle remained seated in the pool, his brow twitching as he stared ahead before finally asking, ’Freya... you do know I can still see you, right?’

Freya: [Hick! I am gone now!]

The stream actually ended this time, and Kyle finally rose from the pool.

As he dried himself, he heard a voice from outside.

"You fainted or something, bum? Is this some trick to make me look at your sickly body?"

Kyle shook his head.

Her mind wandered in the strangest directions.

He quickly changed his clothes and stepped out of the bathroom, only to find Elena standing there. She immediately startled at his sudden appearance.

They stared at each other for a moment before Elena finally said, "You won’t have that much time in the morning, so improve your bathing skills quickly."

Kyle assured her, "I generally don’t take long, so don’t worry."

She huffed and crossed her arms. "Who’s even worried about you? I just don’t want to share my meals with you if you end up arriving late."

Kyle simply nodded, deciding it was better to end the conversation there.

He then moved toward the bed, where he found a basket waiting for him. Inside were a few necessities: a mobile-shaped terminal, a toothbrush, body wash, and several other essentials.

Picking up the terminal, he entered the password, which consisted of his name followed by his assigned code.

Once inside, he navigated to the schedule and immediately noticed it.

A perfect opportunity to livestream again.
