Starting With an SSS-Rank Goddess Summon!
Chapter 394: Phase 5 Of The Date
Silas walked down the stairs, tossing his hand into the air.
Despite the absurdity of the argument that was going on, a genuine relaxed smile lingered on his face.
He had spent several solid hours just having fun... blasting digital undead, barking tactical orders, and watching two of the most dangerous women he knew high-five each other after blowing up a twenty-foot cybernetic monstrosity with a synchronized grenade volley.
’It was a great night...’
"Come on, you two," Silas said, his deep voice carrying an amused chuckle. "Let’s get out of here before the technician calls security for public indecency."
Harper giggled, happily jogging over to link her arm through his left elbow, while Seraphina gracefully glided to his right, resting her hand possessively against his bicep.
Before descending to the main exit, they made a brief detour to the VIP storage locker bay situated along the concourse.
Harper tapped her access code into the terminal, and the reinforced vault door popped open.
FSSH!
Seraphina stepped forward with eager, graceful steps, carefully retrieving the colossal, five-foot-tall plush Shadow-Panther Silas had won for her earlier.
The midnight-black fur was pristine, the tiny stitched gold crown sitting proudly atop its head.
Seraphina gathered the massive beast into her arms, hugging it firmly against her chest with a radiant blush dusting her cheeks.
Beside her, Harper gleefully hauled out her four-foot plush lightning fox, tucking the fluffy yellow creature securely under her left arm while maintaining a firm grip on Silas’s other side.
They descended the grand neon-lit spiral ramps of The Grand Nexus, chatting and laughing as they relived the chaotic highlights of their four-hour gaming marathon.
’Haah... I really have to get home.’
Seraphina passionately defended her decision to use an entire box of virtual rocket-propelled grenades to obliterate an abandoned pharmacy just because a single mutated spider was creeping near the doorway, while Harper passionately argued that Silas’s knife-throw across a hundred-meter ruined bridge to save her avatar from an explosive crawler was the single coolest thing she had ever witnessed in her life.
Reaching the ground floor, they approached the central reception desk forged from brushed obsidian and glowing azure crystal.
The head receptionist... the poised woman in the tailored gold-trimmed vest smiled warmly as she saw them approach with their arms full of giant plushies.
"Welcome back, esteemed Lords," she said, gesturing toward the card return terminal on the counter. "Did you find our games satisfactory?"
"More than satisfactory," Harper said with a proud grin, placing her gold-trimmed Nexus Card onto the scanner tray.
Silas and Seraphina followed suit, setting their cards down beside hers.
The receptionist tapped a series of glyphs on her glass console.
CHIME! CHIME! CHIME!
The console began running an automated diagnostic calculation, tallying the total performance metrics, ticket accumulations, and high-score multipliers across all four floors.
The machine’s processing runes flared with bright, ascending rainbow light as the numerical total spun frantically on the screen.

The receptionist’s eyes widened slightly in genuine disbelief as the results finalized. She looked up at the trio with admiration.
"Incredible," she murmured, her voice carrying deep professional respect. "In the entire history of The Grand Nexus, we have never witnessed a single party dominate every sovereign category in a single evening... By executive decree of our board of directors, your performance qualifies you for our highest institutional honor."
She opened a velvet-lined mahogany drawer beneath the counter, carefully retrieving three heavy iridescent black-and-gold cards forged from crystallized mana-alloy.
Each card was embossed with an eternal infinity crest encircled by the gilded skyline of Valoria.
She handed one card to Silas, one to Harper, and one to Seraphina.
"These are The Grand Nexus Forever Tickets," the receptionist announced with a gracious bow. "They grant lifetime, unrestricted access to every facility, simulation pod, luxury suite, and dining lounge across all global branches of The Grand Nexus. Furthermore, this card covers all expenses unconditionally... not only for yourselves, but for any companions, family members, or relatives who accompany you. You will never pay a single credit within our doors again."
Harper’s jaw dropped slightly before she broke into an ecstatic triumphant laugh.
"Free high-tier VR and infinite credits forever?! Hell yeah! That’s what I call a return on investment!"
Seraphina held the heavy iridescent card between her manicured fingers, feeling the smooth mana-conduits embedded in the alloy. Her crimson eyes glittered with refined delight.
"An acceptable tribute to our prowess," Seraphina stated smoothly, tucking the card carefully into the pocket of her gown while cradling her plush panther closer.
A determined competitive gleam flashed in her eyes as she looked at Silas. "I shall certainly return to this establishment in the near future. The next time we enter that combat simulation, I intend to surpass your kill count, Silas."
"I’d like to see you try, Princess," Silas chuckled, slipping his Forever Ticket into his pocket. "Thanks for the service."
"The honor was entirely ours," the receptionist replied, bowing deeply.
They stepped through the massive obsidian archway of the main entrance and emerged back out into the open plaza.
The cool crisp night air rushed over their skin, carrying the distant sounds of the metropolis.
Above them, the neon glow of the lower entertainment districts faded into the vast, ink-black canopy of the night sky, glittering with a breathtaking sea of natural stars and the slow, luminescent drift of high-altitude defense cruisers.
Parked near the curb of the VIP driveway, bathed in the soft glow of a streetlamp, stood the car.
Standing right beside the driver’s side door, as motionless and dignified as an ancient stone monolith, was Reginald.
The elderly butler had his hands folded neatly behind his back, his sharp eyes instantly locking onto the trio the second they crossed the threshold.
Silas stopped on the sidewalk, rolling his shoulders and letting out a long, contented breath that condensed into a faint mist in the cool air.
"Well," Silas said, looking between the two women with a tired smirk. "It’s past midnight by now... The restaurants are closed, the arcade is cleared, and my brain feels like it’s been put through a hydraulic press. Are we finally heading home?"
Seraphina tilted her head, her sharp crimson eyes softening with genuine rare contentment.
Her feet were slightly sore from hours of standing in stilettos, and the volume of stimulation throughout the day had thoroughly exhausted her noble mind.
"For once, I am inclined to agree with Silas," Seraphina murmured, gracefully dabbing her temple with a silk handkerchief. "We have concluded the four designated phases. Further exertion would be unseemly for high nobility..."
Harper, however, did not slow down.
She stopped in the center of the walkway, spun around to face them, and threw her arms wide with a radiant grin that practically crackled with mischievous static electricity.
"Home?!" Harper gasped, her glowing violet eyes widening with shock. "Are you two insane?! We can’t go home now! We haven’t even touched the peak of the entire date!"
Silas’s left eye twitched violently as a sudden deep chill settled into his stomach.
"Harper... please tell me you’re joking."
"I never joke about the LordTube Ultimate Date Guide, handsome!" Harper beamed proudly, taking a step closer and tapping his chest with a single, manicured finger. "Phase One was style. Phase Two was dining. Phase Three was shared vulnerability. Phase Four was team bonding and now... we initiate Phase Five: The Grand Climax!"
Both Silas and Seraphina stared at her, their curiosity instantly piqued despite their exhaustion.
Silas crossed his arms, genuinely wondering what kind of insane high-society madness could possibly surpass renting out an entire designer floor, dining at the city’s highest crystal spire, and setting an all-time arcade record.
"Alright," Silas sighed, leaning forward slightly. "I’ll bite. What is Phase Five?"
Harper lowered her voice into a thrilling, conspiratorial whisper that made the hairs on Silas’s neck stand up.
"We," Harper purred, her lips curling into a wicked smirk. "are going to an Underground Auction."
The word hung in the cool night air like a dropped crystal goblet.
Silas blinked in genuine surprise, while Seraphina’s crimson eyes dilated with immediate understanding.
"An underground auction?" Seraphina repeated, her brow furrowing slightly as her noble mind evaluated the proposal. "You mean an unsanctioned exchange? Beyond the regulatory jurisdiction of the World Council’s trade registries?"
"Exactly," Harper grinned, thoroughly enjoying their stunned reactions. "There are no taxes and no bureaucratic delays or whatnot. It’s just trading between the continental elite, powerful mercenary syndicates and a lot more."
Seraphina crossed her arms beneath her bust, nodding slowly with deep approving interest.
"An exchange is indeed an exceptional venue for high-stakes observation... The acquisition of foreign relics is a worthy endeavor."
Then, Seraphina’s expression suddenly stiffened.
A look of agonizing embarrassment flashed across her pale face as she remembered the disaster at the clothing boutique cashier earlier that afternoon.
She had departed the Bloom Manor without her spatial storage ring and primary ledger purse so she had zero liquid credits on her person.
Standing two paces away, Reginald stepped forward with silent flawless grace.
The elderly butler dipped his head in a respectful, slight bow, his gloved right hand slipping smoothly into his inner coat pocket.
He produced a sleek obsidian-black transaction card embossed with the gold-and-crimson crest of House Bloom’s Executive Military Regimen.
"Fret not over liquidity, Lady Seraphina," Reginald murmured with quiet, dignified pride. "As the senior sovereign enforcer assigned to your person by Lady Etilga, I maintain an unrestricted emergency operational credit line directly tied to the primary military reserves of House Bloom... You may bid without restraint."
Seraphina’s eyes lit up with radiant triumphant joy.
A brilliant smile bloomed across her face as she delicately plucked the black card from Reginald’s fingers.
"Exceptional work, Reginald," Seraphina praised proudly, shooting Harper a smug haughty glare. "House Bloom’s financial supremacy is once again fully operational."
Silas, on the other hand, scratched the side of his jaw.
’An underground auction...’ Silas thought, his golden-ringed blue eyes narrowing with interest.
He didn’t hate the idea.
In fact, it was practically a stroke of divine timing. As Lord Vespera, Silas had accumulated a massive, staggering fortune in pure Spirit Credits through the stream which Evelyn had transferred.
He had millions sitting in his account.
Furthermore, his territory in the Blessed Land was expanding at a breakneck pace... He needed a whole lot of things for the girls.
"An auction wouldn’t be bad," Silas admitted aloud, nodding slowly. "I actually have some specific items I’ve been looking to acquire for—"
"Don’t worry about a single credit, Silas!" Harper interrupted enthusiastically, waving her hand dismissively as she grabbed his arm. "I told you, this is our date! Whatever you see, whatever you want, whatever catches your eye... I’m paying for it! Put it all on House Whitmore’s tab!"
Silas immediately pulled his arm back, his brow furrowing in firm refusal.
"No, Harper," Silas said flatly, his deep voice carrying a stubborn finality. "I appreciate the gesture, but I pay my own way. I am not a charity case, and I don’t need a sugar mommy buying my gear..."
"Oh, come on, don’t be so stubborn, you big idiot!" Harper whined, aggressively stepping into his personal space and poking his broad chest repeatedly. "It’s not charity, it’s an investment! You’re my date! If you see a cool sword or an ancient skill scroll, you’re going to let me buy it for you, or I’m going to stand in the middle of the auction floor and scream that you broke my heart!"
"Harper—"
"Accept it, Silas! Just accept it!" Harper nagged relentlessly, latching onto his bicep like an overgrown stubborn badger and refusing to let go. "Accept the gifts of love!"
Silas looked down at the purple-haired Lightning Lord clinging to his arm, let out a massive soul-draining groan of pure defeat, and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Fine," Silas muttered, realizing that arguing with her was like trying to stop a tidal wave with a wooden spoon. "If it keeps you from making a scene, fine."
"YAY!" Harper cheered victoriously, practically bouncing on her heels.
"Into the car, everyone! We have a schedule to keep!"
They stowed their giant plushies securely in the trunk and piled into Harper’s custom midnight-purple sports coupe.
Silas took his seat in the front passenger side, while Seraphina and Reginald settled comfortably into the spacious rear leather seats.
As Harper hit the ignition rune, her slender fingers summoned her Lord Inventory.
WHOOSH!
A soft azure light rippled in the cabin.
Floating above the center console were four intricately carved porcelain-grade masquerade masks forged from polished obsidian and silver filigree, shaped in the stylized menacing likeness of predatory crows with elongated beaks and dark tinted crystal lenses over the eyeholes.
