Starting With 100 Million Lives
Chapter 1350 - 1350: Come Out and Spar
"Alright, alright, let me say it myself."
Brother Cheng impatiently cut off his silver-tongued performance.
"That Cyan Bear was knocked flat by me, and all the Demons under his command were wiped out by one person too."
"What bullshit hidden backer? Don't you freaking pin my credit on someone else!"
Pfft!
The palace maids behind him—Lin Jing, Lan Miao, Xue Yi, Wuyuan and the other Ice Palace Female Immortals—almost spat blood on the spot.
Tansha is obviously framing you, yet instead of defending yourself, you're actually volunteering to shoulder the blame?
And you're doing it right in front of Mo Yuan Valley's Leader, Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable?
This is basically you thinking your future death won't be tragic enough!
Tansha Daoist Venerable outright burst into laughter.
He'd thought he'd have to talk a lot more, but didn't expect Jiang Cheng to be this cooperative.
"You all heard that, right? He confessed with his own mouth!"
He could barely stop himself from dancing with joy.
"He's the real culprit!"
"Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable, if you want to avenge Cyan Bear Daoist Venerable, then you should immediately cut him down!"
"Are you insane?"
Venerable Lanmiao, who had just been trembling from being intimidated by the Demons, was now so pissed off by Brother Cheng that she couldn't help shouting.
"It clearly wasn't you who killed him, what are you admitting for?"
"You're only a Supreme, how could you possibly beat Cyan Bear Daoist Venerable, and on top of that so many from the Demon Race!"
"Hurry up and tell them what really happened…"
She might be cursing him, but her real intent was to defend Jiang Cheng; that was kind of kind-hearted.
Unfortunately, Brother Cheng didn't appreciate it.
He frowned and said unhappily, "How is it that I 'can't beat him'? I obviously killed him—why shouldn't I admit it?"
"A man should be honest. You don't even understand that basic principle?"
This guy even called Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable out by name.
"You, tell me, was it me who killed him or not?"
"Ahem!"
Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable almost choked to death on his own saliva.
Big shot, the moment I saw you, I knew it had to be you.
Besides you, no one could have killed so cleanly and thoroughly, without leaving a single fish slipping through the net.
But the problem is, it's not like you don't know—I'm here to avenge Cyan Bear.
Can you please give me a bit of face?
At least deny it, so I can take the opportunity to climb down the ladder, pretend it has nothing to do with you, then quickly withdraw with the Demons.
"It should… not be you?"
"What did you say?"
Brother Cheng's face instantly sank.
Other people not believing my battle record is one thing, but you've followed me for so many years and you dare question me?
As Jiang Cheng spoke, he irritably drew his sword.
"Looks like I really have to make a move, so I can prove I'm not stealing credit."
"Alright then."
"Come on, come on, let's have a proper spar."
Seeing this, the Ice Palace girls nearly fainted.
What kind of circus act is this supposed to be?
Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable is, for once, extending mercy, even saying it probably wasn't you who did it, actively trying to clear your name, and you're still not happy?
You actually dare draw a sword at him?
This is blatant, in-your-face provocation!
Now he basically has no choice but to kill you.
The Demons from Mo Yuan Valley were stunned for a moment, then all burst into laughter.
In their eyes, the gap in Power was way too huge.
It was like an ant challenging tens of thousands of ferocious beasts; there was no anger to feel, only absurdity.
"Is he sleepwalking?"
"His brain must've glitched."
"He actually drew his sword at Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable—what is this guy thinking?"
"Hahahaha, haven't seen this kind of comedy in ages."
Tansha Daoist Venerable was grinning so hard his mouth couldn't close.
He didn't even have to push; the guy just kept jumping onto the road to death by himself—who can you blame for that?
"Gong Qing, this is the Supreme Palace Master you picked? This level of brain? Seriously?"
"Hahahahaha, I don't even know what to say anymore."
He even volunteered himself.
"Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable, this man's sins are monstrous, and he's being far too disrespectful to you. Even I can't watch this any longer."
"How about this, I'll personally kill him, so your hands don't get dirty…"
Before he could finish, Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable slapped him.
"You think I need you meddling?"
Although they were both in the Daoist Venerable Realm, one had two hundred from the Stone Race, while the other had forty thousand from the Demon Race; with that Shengyuan Red Cloud buff difference, the gap was enormous.
With that slap, Tansha Daoist Venerable was instantly sent spinning, knocked flat to the ground.
Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable still felt it wasn't enough to vent his anger.
He viciously started kicking him.
"'Sins are monstrous', huh?"
His Demon Body was so huge, it was pure luck that Tansha was from the Stone Race.
An Immortal Body is extremely special; its hardness and toughness are both ridiculously high.
Otherwise he'd have been beaten into dust right there and then.
"And 'disrespectful to me', huh?"
Bang, bang, bang!
Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable practically hated Tansha to death.
Damn it, if you hadn't led the way blindly, how would I have run into this walking disaster?
"You think I need you to stir the pot? What makes you so damn capable?"
After this thorough beating, Tansha Daoist Venerable was almost crippled.
The nearby Stone Race were both angry and anxious, but they were scared stiff and didn't dare say a word.
The Demons watching from the side had no idea what was going on.
Wasn't Tansha the guide? Why beat him first?
But these Demons didn't care who was right or wrong anyway; as long as there was a fight, it was all good.
The Demons all started hollering.
"Nice!"
"Beautiful beatdown!"
"Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable is mighty and domineering!"
"Crush them!"
"Hahaha, looks like Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable is gonna personally wipe out this bunch of trash."
Seeing Tansha Daoist Venerable's fate, the Ice Palace girls on the other side felt both satisfied and terrified.
These Demons were way too scary.
Thunderous violence without warning, mood swings like crazy!
"Trash your ass!"
Hearing the Demons behind still fanning the flames, Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable got even angrier.
You lot are actually shouting like that in front of Demon Lord Jiang?
You might not be afraid of dying, but I'm terrified!
He slapped down, and over a dozen Demon Supremes behind him were knocked to the ground.
Then he dashed to the back and began punching and kicking the other Demons.
"'Domineering', huh?"
"I'll show you domineering!"
"'Crush them', huh?"
"You think you need to teach me how to do things?"
In no time, the Demons were being beaten till they were howling like ghosts and wailing like wolves.
And the Ice Palace girls opposite were scared even more out of their wits.
Wasn't Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable supposed to have a different style from Cyan Bear Daoist Venerable? Wasn't he supposed to be relatively reasonable?
This is clearly a madman, okay?
When he goes crazy he even beats his own people up—how could he show mercy to anyone else?
After thoroughly disciplining the Demons, Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable finally returned to stand before Jiang Cheng.
"Done with your business?"
Brother Cheng flicked the sword edge.
"Yeah, all done." Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable answered honestly.
"If you're done, then let's start the fight. Are you all coming at me together, or taking turns in batches?"
Right now this guy was itching to go on a killing spree, blinding the Ice Palace girls with a big show.
Let them see who really wiped out Cyan Bear Valley.
However, how would Purple-Brown Daoist Venerable dare to actually fight?
The old Demon was scared out of his soul; his mountain-sized Demon Body crashed down to its knees.
"Demon Lord Jiang, please spare me!"
"I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have attacked this place, but ignorance should be exempt from punishment, right?"
He pulled a long face, full of pitiful grievance.
"If I'd known you were here, I wouldn't have come even if you beat me to death…"
