The two girls immediately turned toward Andrew. "Andrew immediately the battle starts, flee! We’ll hold him off long enough for you to enter the dimensional gate alone."

Lucy gripped her blades tightly. "Once you’re safe, contact the guild. Call for reinforcements. Inform Principal Constance immediately."

Jasmine nodded urgently. "Please don’t argue with us. If something happens to you, if we fail to protect you, we’ll never forgive ourselves." She forced a bitter smile. "And Principal certainly won’t forgive us either. Even our ghosts wouldn’t be safe from him. Please, just run while we keep him pinned down."

Andrew shook his head. Jasmine frowned. "Andrew..."

Gerald laughed and he swung his scythe.

Another explosion erupted. The collision created a violent shockwave that blasted across the battlefield.

At that exact instant, Lucy moved. She appeared behind Gerald like a phantom.

Her twin blades stabbed toward his back. Yet Gerald merely sneered.

Without even looking behind him, he spun and unleashed a kick toward her chest. Lucy’s eyes widened. She abandoned the attack and crossed her blades defensively.

The impact sent her flying backward. She flipped through the air several times before landing gracefully.
