The pressure descended without warning. Reinhard’s expression changed as the entire treatment chamber seemed to sink beneath an invisible weight.

The air turned impossibly heavy, and the Mana surrounding Emily expanded with such force that the glass separating the treatment room from the observation area began to tremble.

Maki’s knees buckled. Yuna grabbed the railing beside her, but even that wasn’t enough to keep her upright.

Lily was forced down onto one knee as her hair whipped around her face, while Lucien’s usual calm finally cracked, his jaw clenched as the pressure pushed him toward the floor. Even Cassian couldn’t stay standing.

"What is this?" one of the researchers gasped, falling to his knees. No one answered.

The space around Emily had begun to break apart.

Cracks spread through the air in every direction, but these weren’t ordinary cracks.

They didn’t appear on any surface, they simply existed in empty space, cutting through reality as though something on the other side were forcing its way through.

Then they shattered, and purple eyes appeared.

Not one.

Dozens, perhaps hundreds, opened throughout the broken space around her, each shaped like a strange diamond and glowing with deep purple light.

Beneath them, countless black eyes slowly emerged, swirling together like a black hole that had somehow gained consciousness.

Every eye turned toward them.

Every eye watched.

Every eye judged.

The researchers froze beneath that gaze. Some couldn’t breathe. Others couldn’t even raise their heads. Lucien pressed his hand against the floor, struggling to stay conscious.

He had stood before powerful Awakeners, had faced beings far stronger than himself, but this was different. This wasn’t simply power. It felt as though something had looked down on the entire world and decided everything beneath it was insignificant.

"What... is that?" a researcher whispered.

Another woman stared at the countless eyes, her voice trembling. "Those cracks... this feeling..." She swallowed. "The feeling of being looked down upon. The feeling of being judged."

Cassian stared at Emily, his face gone pale. "This is..." The words barely escaped his mouth. "The Domination of the World."

The researchers turned toward him, but his eyes stayed fixed on the readings. "Those records weren’t exaggerated," he murmured. "Her Gnosis really was capable of producing this."

Another researcher trembled as she looked at Emily. "The Ruler..." The words spread through the room. "The Ruler is back."

Reinhard heard them, but he wasn’t looking at the researchers.

He was looking at Emily. Her silver hair floated around her as Mana poured from her body, her eyes glowing with a strange purplish-blue light, the terrifying eyes behind her making her look less like an Awakener and more like something that had stepped outside the laws governing the world.

And he couldn’t help but think she was beautiful.

My wife really is unfairly beautiful.

Then the pressure increased again. Reinhard’s boots slid backward, his teeth clenched against the force, and pain spread through every part of him as the Link Chain around his arm strained.

His muscles trembled, but he didn’t fall.

Instead, he took another step, and then another.

Maki looked at him in disbelief. "Reinhard, what are you doing?"

He didn’t answer. The pressure grew heavier, and his knees nearly buckled, but he forced them straight and kept walking toward Emily. He could barely breathe now, yet his gaze never left her. "Emily."

There was no response.

The countless eyes went on staring down at everyone, and Reinhard gritted his teeth and took another step.

"What are you doing, Emily?" The eyes shifted slightly as he continued forward. "Don’t tell me you’re going to fail right now." The pressure pressed against him hard enough that his whole body shook, but his voice stayed steady. "I didn’t think my dear wife was so sorry."

The eyes stopped moving.

For a moment, everything went completely still, every purple eye and even the black ones swirling behind her turning toward him.

Lily’s expression changed as understanding hit her. She pushed herself up despite the pressure and shouted toward Emily, "I agree! This must not be the Emily I know. She wouldn’t be this weak and shameful!"

The eyes trembled. Maki slowly stood beside Lily, her legs shaking beneath the pressure, and forced herself upright. "Emily," she said, her voice firm despite the strain. "You’ve already come this far. Don’t let your own power decide what you become."

Yuna stepped forward too, trembling, sweat covering her face, but she smiled. "You’re Emily Ashcroft," she said. "The person who always stood above everyone else. So don’t let your own Gnosis stand above you."

The countless eyes began trembling harder, the pressure around them fluctuating. Reinhard looked directly at Emily, and then Maki, Lily, and Yuna joined him, their voices overlapping. "Prove us wrong and control it!"

Emily’s eyes snapped open, the purplish-blue light within them flaring brighter. She looked at the countless eyes surrounding her and spoke quietly. "Calm down and obey me." Her gaze sharpened. "Mugen."

The world stopped.

Every purple eye froze, and the black ones swirling like a black hole stopped with them. The pressure that had crushed everyone a moment ago vanished, and the eyes began closing one after another.

The cracks spreading throughout the room began repairing themselves, and within a few seconds, the overwhelming pressure disappeared completely. Everyone remained still, waiting for something else to happen, but nothing did. Emily’s Gnosis continued glowing steadily as the room gradually settled back into silence.

Cassian immediately looked toward the monitoring equipment and checked the readings again. "The Gnosis is stable. Mana flow is stable as well."

Another researcher stared at the data in disbelief. "She’s regulating it herself."

Cassian looked back at Emily. "She’s not suppressing the Gnosis." He slowly shook his head as he realized what he was seeing. "She’s controlling it."

The researchers began checking every measurement they could find. However, the readings continued changing.

One researcher stared at the spatial measurements. "The Gnosis is affecting the surrounding space."

Another researcher immediately checked the temporal readings and frowned. "There’s a distortion in the time field as well."

Lucien’s eyes narrowed as he looked at Emily. "So the treatment didn’t simply restore her old Gnosis."

Cassian stared at her for several seconds before answering.

"It evolved."

The words left the room quiet again as everyone understood what that meant. They had spent all this time trying to restore Emily to the person she had been before her injury, but instead, they had given her something beyond what she once possessed.

Emily slowly turned her head and searched through the room until her eyes finally found Reinhard.

"Reinhard?"

He stopped as Emily looked at him for several seconds, almost as though she needed to make sure he was really standing there. Then she began walking toward him.

For the first time in years, Emily walked without needing her wheelchair. She took one step after another while Reinhard remained where he was, simply watching her approach.

When she finally stopped in front of him, her eyes were slightly red.

"You’re really here."

Reinhard smiled softly. "Of course I am."

Emily reached out and grabbed his shirt before pulling him closer and kissing him.

The entire room went silent.

Lily immediately raised her phone, while Maki covered her mouth and tried not to laugh. Yuna stared at them for a moment before quietly looking away, and Cassian suddenly found the ceiling very interesting.

Reinhard didn’t make a joke. For once, he couldn’t think of one. He simply wrapped his arms around Emily and held her as she rested her head against his chest.

"Thank you," Emily whispered.

Reinhard lowered his head. "You don’t have to thank me."

"I do." Her voice was quiet as she held onto him. "For everything."

Reinhard smiled and held her a little tighter. "You did the hard part."

Lily lowered her phone slightly and looked at the picture she had taken. "That picture was worth waiting for."

Maki immediately walked over and hugged Emily. "I’m so happy for you."

Yuna approached next, although her eyes were still fixed on the mana surrounding Emily. "I want to analyze the new mana structure."

Emily looked at her. "Later."

Yuna shook her head. "No. Now."

Emily sighed. "You really haven’t changed."

"Neither have you."

The family gathered around Emily, and for the first time, there was no need for anyone to wonder whether the treatment had worked.

Everyone could see the answer.

Yet Reinhard didn’t think about the S-Rank Gnosis, the spatial authority, or the strange readings appearing on the researchers’ instruments. He only looked at his wife.

For everyone else, this was the awakening of an extraordinary power, but for Reinhard, it was much simpler.

Emily was standing again.

That was all he had wanted.

Cassian looked at the final readings one more time and found that there was still no instability. Emily’s Gnosis remained completely under her control.

He slowly exhaled. "The treatment worked."

A researcher beside him continued staring at the readings before shaking his head. "More than that."

Cassian nodded as he looked back at Emily. "More than that."

Reinhard looked toward his wife as a familiar notification appeared in front of him.

[ Gnosis Recovery Investment Updated. ]

[ Restoration Compatibility: 90% → 100%. ]

Reinhard smiled.

The treatment was complete.

Emily had truly returned.
