"It is basically occupying most of this world," Damon explained to her the situation. He had never really spoken much about his bloodline, and she, too, hadn’t pried, but given the situation, he thought that it was time he revealed some things.

Aurora listened in awe, her eyes widening every second. "Oh my god! Hubby, if you somehow pull this off, then you would be unbeatable!"

"That is the plan." Damon smiled wryly.

"And you are so close to achieving it. Okay, as a dutiful wife, I am going to take care of this big ugly thing for you!"

Aurora planted her fists on her hips, her eyes blazing with excitement as she stared at the monstrous expanse swallowing the world. "Holy fire! Burn! Burn! Burn!"

Just like Damon had expected, her holy fire also worked wonders against the huge, monstrous thing.

"Hubby, you are right. I can burn this guy down in no time. Leave it to me!" Aurora’s triumphant voice resounded in the big empty world as she ran around setting the thing in fire here and there.

Damon chuckled. He was also not standing idly. He used his attacks, playing around combining both wyverns breath and hell fire to try and create something even more deadly. Meanwhile, the third team was working on improving the poison.

Between the three of them the time to put down the gigantic massive creature already went from months to mere weeks but it was still not fast enough.

Soon, all three teams shockingly achieved break throughs. Arya figured out a new potent poison that would particularly be effective against a creature like this. Aurora upgraded her holy fire skill.

However, the biggest change occurred in Damon’s skill. Hellfire and Wyvern’s Breath, which he had been forcing together again and again without much success before, finally responded to the pressure he was putting on them, and for the first time, they did not clash and dissipate, but instead began to merge.

The two energies resisted each other fiercely, one carrying the destructive, infernal nature of hellfire, while the other held the primal, explosive ferocity of a dragon’s breath. Under normal circumstances, the combination would have collapsed instantly, but Damon used a small special something, his blood.

The moment he added some blood energy into the mix, the three instantly combined together into something lethal far beyond anything he had conjured before. This was not an easy task to accomplish. It took a lot of trial and error to get everything together but once they aligned in the right way, something clicked and a terrifying flame formed.

Damon’s eyes widened as a dark crimson flame appeared in his palm. Even without testing he could already feel the destructive power of the flame. With this... a smile formed on his face as he tossed the ball of fire onto the jelly mountain.

The moment the dark crimson flame made contact, just like before, the tar-like mass attempted to absorb it, pulling the flame inward without resistance, treating it like every other form of energy it had consumed so far. But this time, something went terribly wrong.

The fused energy of hellfire, wyvern breath, and blood energy refused to submit to the creature’s devouring dao, clashing violently with the conversion process.

A deep tremor ran through the creature. The flame exploded producing an unimaginable wave of destruction sending ripples across the entirety of the creature!

The tar-like mass bulged outward unnaturally before violently rupturing. Chunks of the creature were blasted outward, their structure collapsing into ash-like fragments before they could even fall.

Aurora froze mid-attack, her eyes sparkling with disbelief and excitement. "Hubby! What did you just do?! That was insane!"

Damon let out a ragged breath. He had used up a lot of mana for that attack but every bit was worth it. If only he could add a bit of dao element to the attack, then he could have already pulverized the whole damn creature in a single attack even if it was the size of an entire world.

Then the more obvious dawned on him. A B rank being was completely different than a C rank of a D rank being.

While almost all C ranks and D ranks were roughly comparable in overall strength, differing mostly in experience, skill usage, and minor refinements, B rank was an entirely different realm altogether, where the gap was no longer incremental but exponential in nature.

Someone who had mastered a concept related to dragon’s breath or hellfire would essentially decimate him in a matter of seconds. The quality of the dao mattered. The depth of it also mattered. His attack would only be as strong as the Dao energy he was able to bring out from the element. He needed to draw out the true power of his path.

If he had done something like that, perhaps even his blood energy alone would have been enough to pulverize this damned bastard. But where was he lacking?

Many things started connecting in Damon’s mind as he slowly closed his eyes. He could feel it. He was on the verge of some sort of breakthrough. Unfortunately, there was no time for it right now. He quickly called out one of his blood avatars and assigned it to work on the breakthrough.

Some would call this utter foolishness as a chance for a breakthrough could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, so was this bloodline.

He snapped out of his trance and focussed on burning down the massive creature once again. The process wasn’t as slow as before. As minutes ticked by, the efficiency with which the attack consumed the biomass exponentially increased. He applied whatever partial insights he had accumulated and the attack became hundred times more powerful.

Shockingly this was still not a dao attack. Damon could feel excitement bubble in his veins as he thought about just how powerful this would be if he actually succeeded in pulling even a fragment of true dao into it. That thought alone was enough to send a shiver through him.

Damon opened his eyes slowly, the faint glow within them deepening as understanding continued to settle into place, not fully formed yet, but no longer vague either. The line between raw power and something greater had become clearer, and for the first time, he could see the direction he needed to take.

But this was not the time. The creature in front of him was still alive.

Damon exhaled, his gaze locking onto the massive creature as its once overwhelming presence continued to weaken. Entire sections of its body were now collapsing at a visible rate, the tar-like mass losing cohesion faster than it could compensate.

The difference was clear. Before, they had been chipping away at it. But now he was demolishing it.

"I need five hours." Damon predicted as he got to work busily.

Aurora, Arya and the other poison masters gasped in shock. Damon’s progress had completely overshadowed all of their work. Clearly, they were no longer required. Even so, no one dared to move a muscle. There was a spectacle happening in front of them and they did not want to miss any of it.
