Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station
Chapter 1335 372: Tearing Space Apart
Chen Ming watched as the severed limb pierced by the Arc was falling into the Black Hole.
He decisively commanded the Insect Race Fleet to take action, immediately deploying several well-maintained Hercules Level ships for a short-distance jump.
They jumped near the severed limb close to the Black Hole Monster, trying to capture it.
But the Black Hole Monster wouldn't just stand idle.
When Chen Ming's Hercules completed this short-distance jump, several limbs with an aura capable of destroying everything were already swinging toward them.
Luckily, there was prior experience.
Chen Ming also knew the Black Hole Monster had the ability to detect jump fluctuations.
Therefore, when he gave the command, he also ordered the Insect Race Fleet to keep moving and be ready for elite maneuvers when the jump ended.
Yet, even so, two Hercules Level ships were still struck by the limbs of the Black Hole Monster, instantly shattering within the Black Hole's event horizon.
This wasn't because the Insect Race consciousness on the Hercules failed to react quickly, but because the broken limb carried an unexpectedly immense gravity.
As a result, if the Hercules avoided the direction away from that severed limb, instead of approaching it, they would be caught by unforeseen gravitational pulls.
Fortunately, the gravity of that limb was traceable, but the real trouble lay in the gravity emitted by the Black Hole Monster itself.
This could only be judged by Chen Ming through detecting the position, direction, and intensity of the Monster's Spiritual Energy Fluctuations.
And during this process, all approaching Insect Race battleships had to dodge, thus trying to get close to the limb moving closer and closer to the Black Hole.
The Black Hole Monster didn't seem to have the intention to swallow its own limb like it did with previous Insect Race battleships.
It seemed to just want the limb to fall into the Black Hole or use it to attract more Insect Race battleships, making it convenient to attack.
The situation was extremely dangerous, to say the least.
Any accident could lead to serious losses.
However, these losses were just that to Chen Ming.
He continued sending over twenty Hercules Level ships forward, braving those crazily swinging articulated limbs to approach the remnants.
The losses of Hercules midway made the Spiritual Ability Department's minister beside him feel distressed.
Yet Chen Ming didn't blink as he sent them all over, solely to achieve his goal.
Eventually, the severed limb struck by the Arc Emitter was caught by a tentacle extending from one of the Hercules Level ships, and after a short-distance jump, it retreated to the rear of the Insect Race Fleet, escaping the crisis of being dragged into the Black Hole or swallowed by the Black Hole Monster.
Taking advantage of the Monster's impotent fury, as it tangled with the remaining Insect Race Fleet within the event horizon.
Chen Ming hurriedly checked the damage on the severed limb.
Inside was all black substance, indistinguishable in nature.
But judging from the shape of the wound surface, it was the rupture caused by the Energy-Accumulating Arc's penetration.
Chen Ming immediately repeated the inspection several times, confirming that this was the case; it was purely the Energy-Accumulating Arc's penetration, without collateral damage from other weapons, nor any old injuries.
This made him somewhat perplexed about the situation, considering if the Energy-Accumulating Arc Emitter's power was really this strong, then why did the damage on the creature's massive body seem as if it was non-existent?
This seemed quite intriguing, but Chen Ming wasn't in a rush to figure out the cause of the problem immediately; he could conduct a detailed investigation later.
At present, he focused on resolving the immediate issue.
Chen Ming planned to take the severed limb away first, transporting it elsewhere for subsequent research.
But just as the Prometheus that captured the limb escaped the Black Hole's event horizon, intending to jump away.
The outer layer of the limb it caught, apparently a fusion of skin and keratin, rapidly dried up, and countless cracks appeared on the surface.
Some black substances began to spread out from these cracks.
Before these spreading black substances could scatter around, the limb's inherent gravity pulled all these substances back.
The limb suddenly curled up, its volume inexplicably decreasing, yet its gravity was inversely increasing.
For a moment, Chen Ming seemed to see the surrounding starry sky appear to warp.
That was a sign of light being bent by gravity.
After leaving the Black Hole's event horizon, this limb seemed on the verge of collapsing into a Black Hole.
It seemed that the black substances inside the limb had a close link with the material forming the Black Hole and connecting to the Black Hole Dimension.
The Spiritual Ability Department head also noticed the situation, startling him to stand directly from the side of the main control console.
But Chen Ming slightly waved his hand, signalling him to sit down.
Even if this limb transformed into a Black Hole, it wouldn't reach a level threatening him.
Moreover, according to observations of this limb's mass so far, even accounting for Spiritual Energy augmentation, the Black Hole it might eventually create would likely be entirely invisible to the naked eye.
But after all, it's a Black Hole, and there are still two such close Black Holes.
So Chen Ming thought about it and activated his Spiritual Energy, using the Dimensional Power he controlled to seal the limb collapsing into a Black Hole.
In his view.
There's a high probability of a true Black Hole Dimension existing beyond the Black Hole, and the act of creating a Black Hole is just utilizing Dimensional Power to forge a path to the Black Hole Dimension.
