They were inextricably linked to those mining drones he discovered still operating to this day.

Those mining drones have mined resources for countless years; there is an absolute reason and time to fill up all these warehouses.

The metal resources piled up in these warehouses might be all the exposed mineral resources extracted from this Star System and neighboring Star Systems over the years.

Moreover, this mining process continues even now.

Of course, the real situation might be, as Chen Ming speculates, a combination of both.

The reason he makes this speculation.

Is because when moving closer to the interior of these warehouse complexes.

Chen Ming discovered some of the warehouses still maintained relatively intact conditions.

Just like one warehouse that triggered an alarm after Chen Ming opened it; it’s one of the fairly well-preserved warehouses.

Some of the preserved warehouses even have doors that do not appear to be relics from ancient times.

Not only are they rust-free, but there’s also evidence they have been recently replaced or maintained.

Only those warehouses completely filled to capacity show signs of rust.

These signs all indicate that something is maintaining these warehouses, continuously supplementing materials into them.

Only, these materials have been stocked full but remain unused.

So, after considering the automated mining robots he saw after jumping to the neighboring Star System, he felt it was these mining robots maintaining the warehouses.

However, there is one issue Chen Ming is not entirely sure about.

The automatic mining robots, structurally speaking, are purely mining robots, with no smelting capabilities.

And he hasn’t found any trace of smelting facilities nearby.

How are those ores transformed into these refined metal plates?

He may need to continue investigating in the vicinity.

Nevertheless, the resources laid out here are tangible.

Chen Ming had just decided, even if there’s that odd wormhole in the Star System, to start colonizing from here, using it as the first step in building a colony.

He can definitely utilize these resources here.

After all, the earlier alarm seemed not to have attracted anything.

Even if he took away all the resources, the Shimmering Civilization wouldn’t rise from the grave to trouble him.

Wait.

Chen Ming suddenly realized something.

If initially, after confirming these coordinates, he had found a way over here, could he have used these resources to initiate development from the start?

Possibly allowing the Empire to grow independently at a very early stage?

Considering the amount of these resources, it seems there indeed was such a possibility.

However, if Chen Ming had come here directly back then, he might have ended up depressed.

His Spiritual Energy might not have reached its current level either.

It can only be said that the stronger he gets, the more Chen Ming feels he cannot escape the concept of being human.

After a slight sigh, Chen Ming prepared to take control of the entire warehouse area within his grasp.

Then use the warehouse as a base to build an initial stronghold.

However.

Brilliant suddenly alerted Chen Ming that there was a massive transition wave in space.

And this transition wave quickly stopped.

Chen Ming immediately walked out of the warehouse and looked up.

He saw a massive light source appearing in the sky like a star.

It seemed to be a spotlight with a power enough to be used on a cosmic scale, also resembling a giant glowing eye, staring straight down from space at the warehouse area and outside him.

Chen Ming suddenly felt something was wrong.

This might be something lured by the alarm he triggered when opening that warehouse storing all the special metal materials.

He immediately switched his perspective to several battleships in space.

He then discovered that what had transitioned to the planet’s orbit was not a massive light source or spotlight.

But a giant mechanical entity.

A massive mechanical entity pieced together from thousands of Main Ships and even more battleships.

Overall, it forms an irregular sphere, with numerous wing-like structures of unknown gravitational, magnetic, or other means orbiting around.

Makes it look not at all heavy, but instead extraordinarily agile.

It looks like a mountain of junk, but the "junk" it carries, all come from various battleship pieces.

Whether armor, weapons, engines, or other structures, everything can be seen on this giant mechanical entity.

Making it not seem friendly at all.

And its front, where Chen Ming thought a spotlight was emitting light, was not truly a spotlight on the mechanical entity.

That was actually the grand glow from a furnace.

At this moment, Chen Ming understood.

This mechanical entity was what he previously saw on the orbit, carving a path among the spaceship wreckage.

No wonder Chen Ming did not find any traces of outsiders, as only residues from other spaceship wreckages were left.

Looking at this giant mechanical entity formed by countless Mechanical Race battleships, it’s natural there were no other foreign traces in the ruins.

And no wonder Chen Ming previously noticed some structures of the ships showed signs of melting.
