Sovereign of the Ashes

Chapter 1999: Reinforcements for Everyone

  • Next Chapter

From the moment Sein and Fermera arrived on the battlefield, the three powerhouses had lost any chance of escape.

In fact, there was no need for Yuri to bring the others over. With just Sein, Fermera, and the Rank Six demon, each taking one opponent, they were already enough to hold the three enemies back.

Once Yuri and her group arrived, their main role was to provide support.

Even a Rank Six deity would feel a chill run down their spine at the sight of a horde of Rank Four and Rank Five beings charging straight toward them.

Sein’s target was the weakest of the three—a peak Rank Five Divine Descendant native, and yet another cryo elemental deity.

To be honest, in this frozen, snow-covered environment, deities like this received the greatest boost to their power.

Sein and the demon kings, on the other hand, were severely hindered by elemental counteraction.

A pillar of searing flame magic shot from the tip of Sein’s scepter, surging straight toward the native deity. On the other side, the severely wounded Rank Six demon swung his Greatsword of Hell in a vicious slash at another Rank Six native deity.

One gray and one black... The two towering pillars of demonic law flames surged into the sky, their radiance intertwining and reflecting off each other.

During the fight, the Rank Six demon king still somehow had the strength to greet Sein.

“Melgen Sethem. Thank you for your assistance, Master!”

This demon had a good eye. He did not mistake Sein for one of his own kind, and instead recognized him as a mage.

By revealing his surname to Sein, Sethem was showing that he truly owed him a debt this time.

Back when Sein had been stranded in Faeloria, he had learned the Succubus Queen’s true name because she had acknowledged him.

“Sein, Divine Tower of Ashes.”

His brief reply came through via mental focus.

Raging demonic flames filled the sky, melting away a large portion of the surrounding snow-capped mountains.

After activating his special ability, Bloodfall, the already severely wounded Rank Six demon king now fought with the desperation of a cornered beast.

Had Sein not already seen through the creature’s true condition, he might have thought Sethem was perfectly fine and simply riding a surge of battle frenzy.

In Sethem’s hands, the massive greatsword moved like crashing waves, sweeping again and again toward the Divine Descendant before him.

Avalanches broke loose across the surrounding battlefield.

And because Sethem was constantly unleashing scorching waves of flame, the ice and snow beneath the battlefield gradually melted away, forming a newborn lake.

Sein’s performance here was just as impressive as Sethem’s.

Having a Rank Six robot as a subordinate was already enough to make anyone think twice before underestimating him.

When Sein activated the Faceless Mask, its law projection appeared above the battlefield as a massive white mask. Then came a barrage of energy beams and sonic magic, piercing through everything in their path.

The damage he dealt was no weaker than Sethem’s. Even the mid-stage Rank Six demon king could not help but turn his head and glance at Sein.

“Reinforcements from our Demon Clan are on their way. Hold these guys off. I’m going to tear their flesh and blood apart piece by piece, then devour them!” Sethem growled as he swung his heavy sword.

To his surprise, Sein replied, “Our reinforcements are coming soon too.”

Sethem paused for a moment, then erupted with even greater power than before.

This was the advantage of being surrounded by allies on the battlefield. As long as one had a reliable support system behind them, they could fight without restraint.

Unlike those hostile deities. Who could they rely on?

The fierce battle drastically altered the surrounding terrain.

In truth, given the strength of the three enemy deities, they were fully capable of holding their own against Sein and his companions.

But once their momentum and fighting spirit faltered, it became difficult for them to muster that same drive.

Before long, Sein suddenly activated his demonic form and closed in. Thanks to his well-tempered body, he caught his opponent off guard with a vicious strike, sending the peak Rank Five native deity plummeting from the sky.

At that moment, the first wave of reinforcements finally arrived.

Sein knew he could always trust Yuri!

The crimson Burning Flame Unit led the charge, soaring above the clouds.

Close behind them were the God of Black Mist, Ximen Feixiao, and the others.

The appearance of nearly ten law-wielding fighters immediately placed enormous pressure on the three hostile beings.

The one currently fighting Sethem was especially shaken. In a moment of distraction, Sethem’s heavy sword struck him squarely between the shoulder blades.

“DIE!” Sethem’s voice echoed through the vast snow-covered mountains.

Gripping his greatsword tightly, Sethem charged forward together with his opponent, hurtling straight toward a towering snow-capped mountain below!

The Rank Six Wanderer from Myriad Manifestations World was currently the calmest of the opposing powerhouses.

Even while locked in battle with Fermera, he had not given up on survival.

Seeing the two Divine Descendants suffer heavy blows one after another, the man suddenly pulled three wooden sticks from his robe and snapped them. The sticks were covered in indecipherable symbols.

Any Rank Six being capable of traversing the Astral Realm was no pushover.

This Rank Six Wanderer from Myriad Manifestations World far surpassed those two unlucky Divine Descendants in both hidden reserves and raw power.

However, judging from the pained expression on his face, those three wooden sticks clearly had not been cheap.

Thick white mist suddenly rose from the surface of the Rank Six Wanderer’s body.

The energy beams Fermera fired at him one after another actually passed straight through the white mist, seemingly causing no harm to his physical form.

Fermera was adjusted her attack strategy. Just as a lightsaber appeared in her hand, while eight wings unfurled behind her as she prepared to charge forward, a pitch-black shadow appeared above the battlefield.

Yuri and the others had actually brought Sein’s planetary fortress over as well.

After countless mechanical modifications and upgrades, Sein’s familiarity with this planetary fortress was already nearly on par with his own Ashen Fortress.

At another battle site, Sein focused his mind. A deep blue glow of law appeared in his left hand.

The dazzling Magic Cube radiated breathtaking brilliance in his palm.

High in the sky, the planetary fortress first unleashed a simultaneous barrage from its main and secondary cannons, delivering a sweeping strike toward the area where the three hostile creatures were located.

Immediately afterward, the massive planetary fortress began to warp and transform.

Ever since Sein completed his latest phase of experiments on the planetary-class war fortress, this colossal stronghold had become capable of close-range control and combat even without Sein’s physical presence inside it.

The planetary fortress, which had been spewing endless firepower just moments ago, completed its transformation in an extremely short time.

Then, a colossal metallic fortress robot stood majestically in the sky.

Even Sethem, the Rank Six demon king who had been fighting in a frenzied state, gradually slowed his movements and looked up at the colossal entity that dwarfed his own body countless times over.

In terms of actual combat power, the giant fortress robot might not yet be a match for Sethem at his peak.

But its sheer size and the pressure it exuded were simply overwhelming.

The sky above the surrounding snow-capped mountains was completely blotted out.

Yet when the fortress robot swung its fist, its target was not either of the two native deities who had already fallen into a disadvantage. Instead, it struck toward the Rank Six Wanderer from Myriad Manifestations World.

Sein had been keeping a close eye on the surrounding battlefield. Naturally, he had also noticed that Fermera’s opponent was trying to flee.
