Someone Always Wants To Corrupt My Disciple

Chapter 201: The Mystical Sect’s Transportation System

  • Next Chapter

The sect leaders were overflowing with enthusiasm about the opening of the Mystical Sect Academy. Other than the course arrangements and the organization of teaching materials that required Yun Jiao’s personal attention, everything else—from the construction of the school to the recruitment and scheduling of personnel—was completely managed by the Celestial Masters Hall.

Especially the top fifty sect leaders from the recent Teacher Qualification Examination—they had all gathered early at the Celestial Masters Hall, making various preparations.

Everything was ready, waiting only for the start of the semester!

Just as everyone was rubbing their hands, eager to produce dozens of test papers in advance, they suddenly realized a very serious problem.

“Exorcism and cultivation can’t be done at the same time?” Yun Jiao was stunned and looked at the sect leaders whose faces were all marked with despair. “Why?”

“Daoist Friend Yun, you may not know,” sighed Master Xu. “Though we have many disciples of the Mystical Sect, they are scattered all over the land, so the actual number in each region isn’t large. Some sects even have to manage several large towns at once. Thus, disciples on the upper register receive assignments almost every month, while those of higher cultivation—the Blossoming Celestial Masters—must go out every ten days or so. Among the thousands of disciples we planned to send for cultivation this time, most are Blossoming Celestial Masters. If all of them leave at once, many missions will have no one to carry them out.”

“That’s right,” another sect leader said solemnly. “Though the underworld and the demon realm have been quiet lately, and the Celestial Masters Hall and the various sects have received fewer commissions, if so many disciples go to the Celestial Masters Hall for study, we’ll indeed be short on manpower.”

“Then just set up holidays,” Yun Jiao suggested. “Didn’t we already discuss having two semesters per year and two rest days every seven days? We can stagger each class’s schedule so that only two or three classes attend lessons at a time.”

Master Xu still looked uneasy and sighed again. “That would be fine, but the Celestial Masters Hall’s commissions are usually assigned to nearby sects, which then send suitable disciples. If all disciples are now gathered here, and the commission site is far away, they might not make it in time.”

Yun Jiao blinked, giving everyone a strange look before saying, “Don’t we have teleportation talismans and teleportation arrays? Why not use them? Aren’t they super convenient—just whoosh, and you’re there?”

Everyone froze and blurted out, “Teleportation talismans are generally used only in combat, for emergencies! And teleportation arrays have limited range. Some distant sects would be hard to reach…”

Well, that was true—for anyone except Yun Jiao, whose mastery of formation techniques made distance irrelevant.

“Then just build more!” Yun Jiao said directly. “If one can’t reach far enough, set up relay stations and teleport a few more times. It’s still better than walking, isn’t it?”

“…That does make sense.”

“Isn’t the teleportation array a simple mid-level formation? As long as we set one up at each sect or in larger towns and link them together, then the distance between commission sites won’t even matter.”

“…”

“We clearly have such advanced transportation technology. Why haven’t you promoted it yet? What have you all been doing these years?” If this were her old world, high-speed trains would already be running across the globe within a few years.

“…Damn!”

Right!

The sect leaders were dumbfounded, then suddenly felt as though a door to a new world had opened. Why hadn’t they thought of this before?

Teleportation arrays were convenient, but rarely used between sects. As Yun Jiao said, although they were only mid-level formations—not something everyone could build—once constructed, they could be activated by any cultivator with spiritual power.

That meant anyone could sneak in using an array, causing chaos. A few years ago, it was common for people to secretly use teleportation arrays to infiltrate other sects and steal techniques. Almost every sect with an array had suffered such incidents.

Thus, only sects with very close relations maintained connected arrays.

But now, in today’s Mystical Sect world…

Who would bother sneaking in to steal teachings anymore? Shout in the messaging group, and you’d receive a whole package of top-tier techniques—complete with bonus exercises and mock exams!

As for magical tools or treasures, the Mystical Sect Academy provided full instruction and practice. You could make your own, bind it to your spiritual energy, and it would be a hundred times better than some disobedient stolen item!

Therefore… teleportation arrays must be built—many of them!

“Elder Jiao, you have many disciples skilled in formations. Set out now. Start building arrays in the surrounding sects!” Master Xu immediately instructed.

“Yes, Hall Master!” Elder Jiao nodded firmly. “I’ll count my disciples and set off right away.”

“I’ll go too! Elder Jiao, my sect also has disciples proficient in formations,” another leader said, and soon others joined in.

“Yes, relying on the Celestial Masters Hall alone will take forever. I’ll notify my sect to prepare.”

“Me too! My formation skills may not match Elder Jiao’s, but I can handle teleportation arrays.”

“And me!”

“Count me in!”

“Let’s go, now!”

Moments later, most of the people in the hall had left, all with serious, determined expressions—off to build the Mystical Sect’s new transportation network.

No matter what, the start-of-semester exams must not be delayed! The test papers were already written!

————————

With the sect leaders taking the lead, the entire Mystical Sect actively joined the transportation construction effort. Elder Jiao led a group of formation disciples to over a hundred sects, personally building large teleportation arrays in each.

Before they knew it, a vast teleportation network had been completed. Tasks that once required four or five days to reach could now be completed in just one or two days, even in the most remote areas. The Mystical Sect’s operational efficiency and reputation soared, and the number of new disciples in every sect increased significantly.

Yun Jiao was quite pleased with all this—especially after receiving her first semester’s profit share from tuition. She was even more satisfied. Just as she was thinking about the next semester’s enrollment plans, the old man walked in holding a letter.

“A commission from the Celestial Masters Hall?” Yun Jiao blinked, recognizing it immediately.

“Yes!” the old man nodded, puzzled. “Since we registered with them, the Hall hasn’t sent us any missions for ages. Why suddenly now? Could it be a mistake?”

“Oh,” Yun Jiao replied casually, “I asked them to send it.”

“What?!” The old man’s eyes widened. “Why?!”

Was she tired of making test papers and wanted to exorcise some evil spirits to relax?
