Today was the first dark night of June—and also the day when Sophina–Silvermoon officially invited Janna to the 【Witch Sect】’s Dream Conference.

So, to avoid being disturbed, Janna made sure to greet the Door Spirit before entering her dormitory...

Thinking of that, Janna once again took out the letter that Sophina–Silvermoon had sent her half a month ago from within her 【Thorn Bracelet】.

"Place a round mirror before you, and at the stroke of midnight, hold the Dream Demon Flower and recite the incantation—.—"

Reading the words on the letter, Janna—who had long prepared everything—followed the instructions, placing the round mirror in front of her.

At the same time, she took out the Dream Demon Flower, its black petals and white stamens exuding a faint glow.

"Tick-tock——tick-tock—"

Listening to the ticking of the clock’s hands, Janna steadied her breathing and fixed her gaze upon the mirror.

"It’s time."

As the clock’s hands finally aligned at midnight, Janna took a deep breath, lifted the Dream Demon Flower in her hand, and began to softly chant the prayer written in the letter toward the silver mirror.

"O ruler within the endless dreamscape,

you are the weaver of the night,

the embodiment of the fears hidden deep within the soul.

Please heed my plea,

lift the veil of the Dream Demon ever so slightly,

and let me glimpse the truth concealed in the depths of dreams—"

Buzz—

As Janna’s chant repeated again and again, the round mirror before her suddenly bloomed with a dazzling light.

Seeing this, Janna immediately stopped her prayer, unconsciously tightening her grip on the flower.

"Hoo—"

Drowsiness swept in—dream descended.

As the sleepiness wrapped her consciousness, Janna’s soul seemed to fall into a soft bed woven entirely of white clouds, slowly sinking deeper and deeper.

"It smells so sweet—"

Just as she was about to fall asleep, a faint and soothing fragrance drifted into her nose, instantly dispelling her drowsiness.

When Janna reopened her eyes, she found herself standing on a massive chessboard, surrounded by countless black Dream Demon Flowers swaying gently in the wind.

"Is she the newcomer you and Koukie spoke so highly of?"

As Janna was still observing her surroundings, a sharp voice suddenly echoed from all directions.

The next moment—bang!—a burst of sparks exploded, and with it appeared a short girl, barely reaching Janna’s shoulder, with twin ponytails and fiery red hair and brows.

"A formal witch—..."

Because the other party hadn’t concealed her aura, Janna’s keen perception immediately discerned her as a Formal Witch.

"Lori, reign in your magic. Don’t go frightening our adorable newcomer."

Like a clear mountain spring flowing past her ears, the voice instantly reminded Janna of the Ocean Envoy Anna–Russell, far away in 【Atlantis】.

Splash—

Just like the red-haired girl’s sudden appearance, a woman with a melodious voice emerged before Janna amid the sound of rushing water.

"Hello, my name is Powa–Russell. You may call me the Witch of the Sea."

A Deep-Sea Mermaid!

Those azure curls like the ocean and that sculpted, flawless face—Janna recognized her kind at a glance.

However, compared to Ocean Envoy Anna–Russell, this Deep-Sea Mermaid named Powa–Russell seemed more mature, exuding the warmth of a gentle elder sister that naturally drew one closer.

"Hello, I’m Janna–Roland, a Wizard Apprentice from Dordogne–White Tower—."

"No need for introductions. Koukie already told us all about you."

Before Janna could finish, the impatient red-haired girl interrupted her directly.

"Right! I’m Lori–Spark, the Witch of Flame, and I joined not too long before you."

The Witch of the Sea... The Witch of Flame—

Hearing the introductions, Janna—who hadn’t heard of either of them before—nodded politely.

The 【Witch Sect】, being a secretive underground organization, rarely disclosed information to the outside world.

Except for a few high-profile members like the Witch of Lily-of-the-Valley or the Witch of the Void, the rest—including even its founder—were all shrouded in mystery.

"Hoo—"

Just as Lori–Spark seemed ready to say more, a fragrant mist spread once again from the chessboard, quickly covering the entire area and enveloping Janna’s vision.

After a brief moment, as the fog thinned, Janna could finally see again—

"This is—"

Beneath her feet was no longer a chessboard, but a rectangular stone table surrounded by twelve high-backed stone chairs, each with a distinct design.

Janna was seated at the twelfth chair, at the far end of the table.

"Including my seat... there are twelve chairs in total—so the 【Witch Sect】 originally has only eleven members?"

As she pondered this, the fog stirred again, and hazy silhouettes appeared one by one upon the previously empty chairs.

Though indistinct, Janna could still make out the forms of the Witch of Flame and Witch of the Sea among them.

"Since everyone’s here, let’s begin today’s meeting."

A voice neither male nor female, deep and husky, resounded around them.

At the same time, a black high-backed chair—unlike the rest—manifested at the head of the table.

Then, as the mist rolled once more, a tall figure draped in a robe as deep as night appeared, the robe’s surface embedded with countless star-like diamonds. Her face was completely obscured by the fog.

"That must be the one mentioned in the incantation—the 【Ruler of Dreams】—"

As if sensing Janna’s gaze, the figure turned slightly toward her.

Just that single glance was enough to paralyze Janna’s body in an instant.

Her 【Danger Perception】 talent flared wildly in response—

endlessly warning her——·
