Upon hearing Eunice-Gale’s description of the “Natural Enemy,” Janna’s first reaction was to recall the 【Darksun】—the one that had wrought near-catastrophic destruction upon the 【Primary Material World】.

If the 【Will of Nature】 truly served as the guardian of all natural things in the universe, then why had there been no divine followers to protect it when 【Darksun】 rampaged unchecked?

“What are you thinking about?”

Eunice-Gale, who had been explaining the mysteries of the “Way of Nature,” paused when she noticed the subtle change in Janna’s expression and asked her that question.

“Professor, I was just thinking… if the 【Will of Nature】 can hear the misfortunes of nature itself, then when the 【Primary Material World】 was being destroyed, why didn’t it unleash thunderous power to protect its faithful believers?”

At Janna’s words, Eunice-Gale—the devoted follower of the 【Will of Nature】—arched a brow slightly. After a moment of silent contemplation, she finally replied.

“【Will of Nature】 had already rewritten the course of destiny for us long ago. Otherwise, we would not be standing here speaking to each other right now.”

What did that mean?

To Janna, Eunice-Gale’s response at first sounded like an evasive, mysterious answer—something too abstract to grasp.

Yet as Janna pondered her words carefully, a faint understanding began to dawn upon her.

“Are you referring to… Her Excellency 【Ivrecia】?”

Back during the God War, if not for 【Ivrecia-Twilight】 who had sacrificed herself to resist the invasion, the 【Primary Material World】 might have long since fallen under the assault of the Outer Gods led by 【Darksun】.

And according to Eunice-Gale’s implication, the appearance of 【Ivrecia-Twilight】 itself was the 【Will of Nature】’s act of protecting all natural beings.

“I don’t know.”

At Janna’s question, Eunice-Gale merely shook her head and gazed at her with an almost teasing look.

“But I think… the person I have been waiting for might have already appeared.”

Hearing that, Janna froze for a moment, unsure how to respond.

“Alright, let’s return to the topic of your earlier use of 【Nature Magic】. I wonder if you’ve noticed that within your 【Spiritual Light Points】, a new power has already begun to take form.”

As the conversation shifted back to 【Nature Magic】, Janna tacitly chose not to press further and instead refocused her attention on the academic discussion.

“Professor, are you referring to the power within the rain—the one that can restore a plant’s vitality?”

“Describe it in detail.”

Instead of answering directly, Eunice-Gale gestured for her to continue.

“It’s like this. When I was in 【Fallen Star】 communing with the 【Will of Nature】, I came into contact with a power that felt extraordinarily benevolent and gentle. Under its blessing, the rain I summoned through 【Nature Magic】 carried an unusually strong life force. Any tree that was touched by this rain—even those long dead—would revive and bloom once more—”

After hearing Janna’s account, Eunice-Gale’s smile deepened, to the point that it sent a faint shiver through Janna’s chest.

“The power you described is none other than one of the 【Secondary Laws】 under the 【Law of Nature and Life】—the 【Law of Resurrection】.”

The… Law of Resurrection?

Although Janna had guessed as much, hearing the confirmation from Eunice-Gale still filled her with amazement.

“Does that mean I’m about to grasp my fifth 【Law Fragment】?”

Janna knew that for a Wizard Apprentice, comprehending even a single new 【Law Fragment】 was an arduous task. Yet, based on her past experience, she felt somewhat confident.

“If I recall correctly, among the 【Law Fragments】 you currently possess, two already belong to the 【Secondary Laws】 under the authority of the 【Law of Nature and Life】. If you can successfully comprehend the 【Law of Resurrection】, you may attempt to fuse all three while still at the apprentice stage. Doing so would allow you to obtain a 【Law Authority】—one level higher than any of your current fragments—the so-called 【Superior Law】—”

At this point, a faint bitterness stirred in Eunice-Gale’s heart.

As one of the most gifted Green Elves of the 【Forest of Nature】 in the past century, Eunice-Gale had only managed to comprehend a single 【Law Fragment of Plants】 during her apprenticeship, relying solely on her A-level 【Plant Manipulation】 talent.

Even now, her understanding of the 【Laws】 remained rooted in the 【Law of Plants】, without much progress.

In contrast, Janna—a mere human without even a trace of Elven bloodline—had already mastered four distinct 【Law Fragments】.

Even though two of them were not under the 【Law of Nature and Life】, that alone had been enough to make Eunice-Gale feel a sense of disbelief and quiet helplessness when she first read Janna’s file in the White Tower Apprentice Archives.

And now, Janna—having successfully grasped 【Nature Magic】—was already touching upon the threshold of a fifth 【Law Fragment】—

While Eunice-Gale’s heart swirled with complex feelings, Janna, after listening to her, was reminded of something else.

A year ago, when Janna visited Vivian’s home—the Rose Manor—she had once engaged in a deep academic discussion with Vivian’s father, Hellman-Rose.

One of their topics had been related to the 【Law of Nature and Life】.

From Hellman-Rose’s explanation, Janna learned that although the 【Law of Growth】 and the 【Law of Nature and Life】 shared a relationship between 【Primary】 and 【Secondary】, the two were not directly linear in structure.

According to Hellman-Rose, each 【Primary Law】 could be envisioned as a vast tree diagram, with each 【Secondary Law】 forming its branches. Every branch, at least theoretically, had the potential to extend directly toward the crown.

Between the 【Law of Growth】 and the 【Law of Nature and Life】, there existed multiple layered nodes—precisely what Eunice-Gale had referred to as the 【Superior Laws】.

“Mr. Hellman once said that, as far as currently known, the 【Law of Growth】 has only one confirmed Superior Law—”

“That would be the 【Law of Spring Order】—”
