Chapter 670: I Love You, and I’ve Loved You for a Long Time

Evelyn instinctively stepped back, feeling utterly embarrassed!

Caden Lockwood’s gaze remained fixed on Evelyn; he had heard every word of her confession just now.

Ecstatic didn’t begin to describe how he felt right now.

So, all along, the one she loved was him?

Evelyn looked at Caden in disbelief, both furious at his words, yet unable to voice it.

Seeing Evelyn’s vulnerable expression akin to a little white rabbit, Caden’s lips curved, his smile particularly bright and warm.

"But," he continued, "since you confessed first, I can’t fall behind. Evelyn, I love you, and I’ve loved you for a long time."

As his words fell, his hand wrapped around her waist, lifting her up, and kissed her lips.

Evelyn shuddered slightly, her vision filled entirely by Caden’s face, as if there was no one else in her life but him.

His words just now echoed in her ears.

He loves her?

Really?

Her brows lifted in joy, and Evelyn instinctively reached out, embracing Caden.

In that moment, he suddenly picked her up and spun her around in place.

"Ah!" Evelyn cried out, but soon she burst into laughter.

"I love you too!" Evelyn shouted excitedly, "I’ve loved you for so long!"

Caden held Evelyn as they spun around in the bedroom, their laughter particularly joyful and delightful.

After being downcast for so long, their mood finally turned to happiness simultaneously.

Holding Evelyn tightly, Caden put her down and kissed her deeply once more.

Even the air seemed laden with sweetness and happiness.

Considering Evelyn’s body was still tired, Caden didn’t make any excessive movements.

His large palm gently caressed her cheek, and he softly said, "Darling, say you love me a few more times, I can’t hear it enough."

Listening to Caden’s childlike greedy request, Evelyn’s cheeks turned red, and she momentarily wondered if all of this was just a dream.

Noticing Evelyn’s small movement, Caden’s heart ached.

He pulled Evelyn into his arms and whispered in her ear, "This isn’t a dream, I promise! Darling, apart from you, I’ve never loved any other woman!"

Evelyn was stunned, immediately pushing Caden away, she said angrily, "But you clearly said that day, after divorcing me, you’d marry Eleanor Keaton or Shannon Dunn! When you were on vacation, you even held Eleanor in your arms!"

Remembering that image, Evelyn couldn’t help but flare up.

"Even if I were to divorce you, I wouldn’t marry anyone else!" Caden said anxiously.

He took Evelyn’s hand, placing it over his heart, "Here, only you can fit."

Hearing that, Evelyn’s cheeks flushed as she lowered her head, playfully chiding, "When did you learn to say such sweet words?"

Yet, she loved hearing them!

"It’s the truth," Caden declared steadfastly, "Back then, it was just a casual promise to you, to make you feel less guilty. As for what you saw between Eleanor and me..."

Caden paused, then continued, "I wanted to see if it was possible for me to reluctantly accept any woman other than you."
