Slowly Falling into His Love Trap

Chapter 664: If You Want a Divorce, Then Divorce

Caden turned his head away at this moment and said coldly, "Eleanor, you should leave."

Eleanor furrowed her brows, "Brother Caden?"

"I not only gave you a chance, but I also gave myself a chance." Caden’s voice was calm and emotionless, devoid of any warmth, "I kept convincing myself that since the fire had already started, I should just have you, forcing myself into a corner, so I could only let her go."

Listening to Caden’s words, Eleanor felt her heart leap to her throat, overwhelmed by an unprecedented panic.

The "her" he mentioned, is surely Evelyn, right?

"But, I can’t." The veins on Caden’s temples throbbed intensely, "Just one look from Evelyn ignites my desire for her, yet you, even if you strip naked and try every means to win my favor, the fire in my body is instead extinguished."

"Brother Caden!" Eleanor’s eyes widened, "I just haven’t done well enough, it must be me..."

"It’s not that you’re not good." Caden looked Eleanor in the eyes, "It’s that in my heart, besides her, there’s no room for anyone else."

Hearing Caden speak so bluntly, Eleanor’s face turned pale.

Her body felt as if it had been frozen stiff, and even though he hadn’t pushed her away, she felt more hurt now than ever when he was cold to her.

In just these few short minutes, he finally spoke so much to her as she wished.

But each and every word from him forced her into extreme pain.

Why?

Why, after she stayed by his side for so many years, willing to do anything for him, does he treat her so cruelly and heartlessly?

At this moment, Evelyn pushed open the study door, intending to have a good talk with Caden, but the scene that met her eyes was Eleanor dressed so seductively lying on top of Caden.

From Evelyn’s angle, it seemed like Caden and Eleanor were kissing.

Evelyn blinked, hardly believing what she saw.

Was it a coincidence!

Did Eleanor intentionally throw herself into Caden’s arms!

However, Eleanor was clearly straddling Caden’s lap with her legs apart.

What kind of falling position results in... such a precise placement?

Remembering how Caden had just pushed her away, Evelyn’s legs turned weak, and the tears she had barely managed to hold back fell once again.

Drip—

Drip—

She seemed to hear some sort of sound.

Crash—

Her heart, broken.

Seeing that Eleanor and Caden showed no sign of separating, Evelyn could no longer bear it and cried out, "Caden, don’t you want a divorce? Then divorce! I agree to the divorce!"

After shouting, Evelyn turned and ran out of the villa.

"Evelyn." Caden murmured softly.

His rational mind told him that being misunderstood by Evelyn like this was perhaps for the best!

He might truly lose her.

But, the thought of this outcome caused his heart to ache as if being trampled on by thousands of troops and horses.

As time ticked away, Caden found it hard to breathe; his entire body seemed to be in pain.

To hell with rationality!

He simply couldn’t do without her!

Shoving Eleanor directly to the ground, Caden didn’t even glance at her, stood up, and ran out to chase after Evelyn.

"Evelyn!" Caden shouted urgently, "Evelyn Morgan!"

But no matter how loudly Caden shouted, there was no response.

In the bedroom, on the balcony, on the rooftop, there was no sign of Evelyn.

Where... did she go?
