Chapter 62: Chapter 62: No Germany, Just Incest
In this vast world, among billions of species, the human race is but one.
Beyond humanity, there are beasts, fiends, immortals, and Demons.
Endless lands hold endless Creation, and endless Creation gives rise to countless races.
Even with the ancient lineage of the Supreme Dao, they would not dare claim to understand every race in the world.
Yet among these billions of species, there are always some entities that are unimaginable and indescribable to ordinary people—beings so unnamable that even the act of naming them is forbidden.
These entities are collectively known as the Taboo.
Their very existence is taboo. Their kind is taboo. Their names are taboo. Even... even their forms and images are a kind of taboo.
As for the great opportunity—the great Creation—within Lingzhou, no one truly had any exact information, not the Supreme Sect, not even the major top powers of Jiuzhou.
The information the Supreme Sect had gathered indicated that Lingzhou held a monumental opportunity left behind by the second Taboo entity from the Ancient Times.
No one could say for certain what this opportunity entailed, but everyone knew it was a supreme Creation, one that could set a person upon the path to the heavens.
Therefore, countless factions, large and small, sent disciples as vanguards to investigate. At the same time, they began constructing a Teleportation Array in Lingzhou so that a much larger force could descend upon the Jing Country in Qing Province at a moment’s notice to vie for this opportunity.
The Daoist Nun was the only Celestial Being from the Major Sects of the Central State who had come in secret.
After nearly a month in Lingzhou and many days of investigation, the Daoist Nun was now reasonably certain the opportunity was located somewhere within a hundred-li radius north of Lingzhou City.
Aside from that, he couldn’t get any more useful information out of the Daoist Nun.
After the Daoist Nun frankly stated that the Supreme Dao would not rule out deploying a Creation Realm Ancestor to seize this opportunity, Su Han waved his hand, signaling that she could take her pack of little whelps and go.
Su Han watched the Daoist Nun depart, then sat by the stone table, his brow furrowed in thought.
After a long moment of contemplation, he couldn’t help but let out a helpless sigh.
’Despite my reluctance, I have to admit it... I really did forget to ask that middle-aged Daoist Nun for her name, from start to finish.’
’Honestly, if I don’t ask, doesn’t she know to introduce herself? That woman... so rude.’
’So what if I turned her Daoist robes into beggar’s rags? Her underclothes were still perfectly fine, weren’t they?’
’What a pain!’
After sighing and grumbling to himself for a moment, Su Han turned his head toward the backyard entrance.
"Come in."
At his words, the old beggar walked in from outside.
"Senior, you..."
Su Han glanced at the old beggar. "You must be Hong Qi."
The old beggar nodded repeatedly, his expression somewhat tense.
Su Han thought for a moment and decided not to reveal his identity to Hong Qi.
"I am Wang Jiantong. I’ve been invited by Crown Prince Su Han to join the Beggar Gang as a Nine-Bag Supreme Elder. Would Gang Leader Hong be amenable to that?"
Having witnessed Su Han suppress even a powerful Celestial Being, how could Hong Qi possibly refuse such an offer? He naturally nodded in hasty agreement.
"I would never object to a decision made by the Crown Prince. I would be honored to welcome a powerful expert such as yourself, Senior, into the Beggar Gang."
Su Han nodded. "Joining the Beggar Gang with me is another man named Guo Jing. We will both serve as Nine-Bag Supreme Elders."
"We will not interfere in the Beggar Gang’s development. However, should the Gang face a crisis that threatens its very existence, you may send for us to intervene."
As he spoke, Su Han took out two Communication Jade Talismans and handed them to the old beggar.
Each of the two Communication Jade Talismans was linked to a corresponding one that Su Han held. Of course, in the old beggar’s mind, one of these talismans naturally belonged to Wang Jiantong and the other to Guo Jing.
Accepting the two Communication Jade Talismans with trembling hands, the old beggar felt as if he were in a dreamlike daze.
’Just like that... the Beggar Gang now has two Supreme Elders at the Celestial Human Realm, at least?’
With this kind of backing, the old beggar felt a new surge of confidence. He could now surely develop the Beggar Gang into the greatest gang in the world and build the strongest intelligence network for the Crown Prince.
Seeing Hong Qi put away the Jade Talismans, Su Han rose to leave.
"Neither Guo Jing nor I will be staying at the Beggar Gang’s sub-branch. If the Gang faces a life-or-death crisis, you can send a message to either of us."
After a moment’s thought, Su Han added, "Oh, and someone might come looking for me in the coming days."
"If she does, send me a message so I can come meet her."
Su Han was, of course, referring to the middle-aged Daoist Nun. Before she left, he had told her to report back to him immediately if she learned anything new about the great opportunity.
He wasn’t worried she would disobey. Not until the Supreme Sect sent someone confident enough to face ’Wang Jiantong,’ an expert suspected of being beyond the Celestial Human Realm.
The only problem was, he had forgotten to ask the Daoist Nun’s name, and she hadn’t bothered to introduce herself. All he could give the old beggar was a vague description.
"Rest assured, Elder. If that person comes looking for you, I will inform you at once."
Su Han nodded, then took to the air, leaving the Beggar Gang Lingzhou Sub-Branch and returning to Prince Jing’s Residence.
「Prince Jing’s Residence.」
Concealing his aura completely, Su Han landed back in his newly rebuilt courtyard.
He walked to his door and was about to push it open when, just as he raised his hand, he suddenly sensed a faint fluctuation of Spiritual Power from his left.
He extended his unique Divine Thought. The moment it touched the courtyard wall, Su Han discovered that the adjacent courtyard where Feng Muxi lived was sealed off by an Array.
As a three-star Array Master, he could recognize most four-star Arrays, even if he couldn’t necessarily break them.
But this Array was one he did not recognize.
’This... is at least a five-star Array, one capable of blocking the Divine Thought of a Celestial Being.’
No sound or sight from within the Array could be perceived by the outside world.
This put Su Han on high alert.
’The person living next door is Feng Muxi,’ Su Han thought. ’A young man of mysterious origin who shares his name with the Human Emperor Fu Xi from the legends of my past life.’
’The two of them were already mysterious enough, and I’ve long been suspicious of this brother and sister whose names are so similar to Fu Xi and Nuwa.’
’And now I find them furtively sealing themselves off from the outside with at least a five-star isolation Array.’
’If someone told me they weren’t hiding some incredible secret in there, I wouldn’t believe them if my life depended on it.’
His experience as a three-star Array Master was useless against an Array like this. Su Han activated his Eye of Truth. Instantly, every pattern of the Array became visible to him, with nothing concealed.
After a moment of observation, Su Han combined this new information with his own knowledge of Arrays and easily found a way to bypass its isolation, allowing him to extend his Divine Sense inside without triggering any alarms.
His Divine Thought slipped past the Array’s barrier. Inside the room, besides Feng Muxi, Su Han sensed the aura of another person—
Feng Lixi!
Subconsciously, a grave problem occurred to Su Han—their family tree was probably a circle.
But, on the bright side... at least the local clinic had an orthopedics department.
