Chapter 302: Bloodaxe’s True Might
Inside the dark space, Rhain did not intend to meet the colossal battleaxe head-on.
Boundless Sky Wind!
His figure flickered, blending perfectly into the fifty-two percent Origin Domain of Darkness.
He materialized directly behind Bloodaxe’s massive, heavily armored frame.
A vortex of pitch-black essence instantly gathered around his knuckles.
Void Fist. Second Form!
But before the spatially-transmitted strike could even detonate, Bloodaxe spun around with the speed of a maddened beast.
His colossal battleaxe, glowing with a thick crimson light, swept through the impenetrable darkness, ruthlessly, and precisely intercepting Rhain’s invisible strike!
BOOM—!!!
"Pfft!"
Blood sprayed from Rhain’s mouth, his entire body blasted backward through the space as the monstrous force of the Level 6 Domain Master threatened to shatter his arm into pieces.
Rhain looked up, his dark grey eyes flashing with shock.
’How did he see me?’ Rhain’s mind spun rapidly. ’My Origin Domain of Darkness completely isolated his spiritual sense!’
Across the arena, Bloodaxe let out a laugh that echoed like a demon crawling out of hell.
"I CAN SENSE YOUR BLOOD!"
Bloodaxe roared, charging directly toward Rhain’s new position with complete accuracy.
"AND I WILL SPILL EVERY SINGLE DROP OF THAT BLOOD TO AVENGE MY BROTHER!"
Rhain’s pupils contracted to pinpoints.
It was a hard counter to his stealth!
The Domain of Slaughter allowed Bloodaxe to sense the flow of blood within any living creature trapped inside it.
There was no use hiding in the darkness.
"DIE!"
Bloodaxe leaped into the air, bringing the colossal axe crashing down on Rhain’s head.
And worse still, Rhain could feel Bloodaxe’s aura growing exponentially stronger with every passing second.
The Domain of Slaughter fed on killing intent.
And right now, Bloodaxe’s hatred for the man who had decapitated his brother had reached the sky.
His raw power was skyrocketing past the boundaries of a standard Level 6 Domain Master!
’Damn it!’
With his stealth rendered completely useless, Rhain had no choice but to face the man head-on.
With a flash of spatial light, the massive, pitch-black heavy broadsword materialized in Rhain’s grasp.
He swung the broadsword upward to block the descending executioner’s strike.
CLANG—!!!
A deafening metallic sound echoed inside the domain.
Rhain felt an unimaginable, crushing weight travel down his arms.
His boots instantly sank three inches deep into the stone floor.
"Ugh!" Rhain gritted his teeth, his arms shivering uncontrollably under the immense pressure.
The physical strength of Bloodaxe, amplified by his soaring killing intent, was completely on a different dimension from any opponent he had faced.
It was a raw power that sought only utter destruction.
Bloodaxe did not stop.
He pulled the battleaxe back and swung it again in a horizontal cleave.
BANG!
Rhain was forced to block again, but the monstrous force sent him skidding backward.
CLANG! BOOM! BANG!
Bloodaxe attacked with the ferocity of a wild beast.
"DIE! DIE! DIE!" Bloodaxe shrieked like a frenzied demon, hacking his axe downward again and again.
Each strike carried the destructive might to level a small city.
Rhain was being brutally and relentlessly crushed in the direct clashes.
SLASH!
The razor-sharp edge of the battleaxe grazed Rhain’s shoulder, tearing a massive, bone-deep gash through his dark robes and flesh.
Blood sprayed wildly into the air.
"YES! BLEED FOR ME!" Bloodaxe roared maniacally.
As Rhain’s blood spilled, the crimson mist of the Domain of Slaughter thickened.
WEEEEEEEE—!!!
The phantoms of a thousands of cultivators that Bloodaxe had slaughtered in his lifetime materialized within the mist.
They howled and shrieked with agonizing, ear-piercing voices, launching themselves directly at Rhain’s mind to tear his sanity to shreds.
For an ordinary cultivator, the mental assault alone would have reduced them to a screaming, brain-dead man within seconds.
But Rhain bit his tongue, gathering all of his will power to stay focused.
However, the mental strength did nothing to stop the physical devastation raining down upon him.
Rhain desperately countered, swinging his broadsword to deflect another fatal blow.
But Bloodaxe’s strength was still rising!
The more Rhain bled, the stronger Bloodaxe became.
BOOM!
A brutal kick to Rhain’s abdomen sent him hurtling through the air.
Rhain crashed into the magma-veined wall of the arena.
"Gah!" Rhain vomitted a massive puddle of pitch-black blood.
His vision blurred.
Dozens of deep cuts covered his body. His ribs were shattered, and his internal organs were heavily ruptured.
His Abyssal Sovereign Physique spun fiercely, desperately trying to knit his flesh back together, but Bloodaxe was inflicting damage far faster than his body could heal under the continuous suppression of the Domain of Slaughter.
’He is too strong in a direct clash,’ Rhain calculated coldly, wiping the blood from his face as he slowly stood up from the molten pool, his dark robes burnt and clinging to his battered body.
’Hiding in the darkness is entirely useless. If I keep fighting him with pure physical force, I will die undoubtedly.’
Across the arena, Bloodaxe was already moving.
"PAY FOR MY BROTHER’S LIFE!"
Bloodaxe leaped high into the air, raising his colossal battleaxe with both hands.
The crimson mist of his domain gathered entirely around the blade, transforming it into a gigantic guillotine aimed directly at Rhain, intending to split him perfectly in two.
Rhain looked up at the descending guillotine.
A ruthless light flashed deep within his pupils.
He had wanted to hide this trump card.
Revealing too much of his true foundation
in this lawless hell was incredibly dangerous.
But faced with a Level 6 Domain Master whose physical might and tracking abilities perfectly countered his abilities, he had no other choice.
"Origin Domain of Fire."
BOOM—!!!
The pitch-black darkness that had covered Rhain’s half of the arena abruptly vanished.
In its place, a scorching sphere of blood-red fire erupted outward.
The temperature inside the Crucible Core skyrocketed to a level that made the magma pools below look like freezing water.
A staggering fifty-five percent comprehension of the Law of Fire manifested, merging with the heat of his Red Tribulations Heavenly Flame.
The sudden eruption of fire blasted upward, directly colliding with Bloodaxe’s descending guillotine.
BANG—!!!
Bloodaxe’s massive strike was forcefully halted in mid-air by the erupting pillar of Heavenly Fire.
The intense heat seared his heavy armor, forcing him to hastily backflip and land dozens of feet away to avoid being burnt.
Up in the stands, the masked killers were shocked.
"WHAT IS THAT?"
"FIRE? HE JUST UNLEASHED A DOMAIN OF FIRE!"
"IMPOSSIBLE! HE ALREADY HAS A DOMAIN OF DARKNESS! HOW CAN ONE PERSON POSSESS TWO DOMAINS?"
High above the roaring crowds, the Nine Seats were also surprised.
"Two domains..." the Fifth Seat gasped, "He has also comprehended two different laws at the Core Formation Realm?"
"Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! What a wonderful surprise?" Third Seat let out a chuckle full of shock. He turned his gaze toward the handsome, white-robed youth lounging in the corner. "It seems I wasn’t wrong to compare him with you after all. Two domains... Just like our esteemed Ninth Seat."
Every single one of the seated rulers slowly turned their gazes toward the handsome youth dressed in pristine white robes.
When this man had arrived two months prior and slaughtered his way to the throne, he had displayed the exact same monstrosity.
The older Seats shuddered at the memory.
They still didn’t understand what that second domain was, only that it had rendered a peak Domain Master entirely helpless.
Hearing the comparison, the handsome youth just smirked.
"I hadn’t expected to meet someone who has mastered two Domains in the Core Formation Realm in such a remote place," the Ninth Seat’s voice was full of inherent arrogance, "Too bad, he still cannot compare with me."
His eyes narrowed slightly, "But I can say this for certain now...the outcome of this battle has been decided."
