"Yes!" Gu Yunbo cheerfully followed her out, looking like she was off to receive an award for being a model student.

The foolish boy immediately showed an admiring expression, "My Sister Bo is awesome, this isn’t going to the office, it’s like going to the battlefield!" He looked as if he couldn’t wait to act like a silly husky.

"Gao Jinglin, can you stop embarrassing yourself?" Someone else couldn’t stand it anymore and threw a ball of paper at Gao Jinglin’s face.

The boy who got hit wasn’t angry, lazily leaning on a classmate’s desk behind him, holding the paper ball in his hand and smiling like a rascal.

"It’s almost New Year, when do we start vacation?"

He had planned to join the rescue team this year, but ever since the family elder heard something about the college entrance exams, insisted he has to aim for the top and bring back the laurels. Restrained him from joining the rescue team, forcing him to attend some damn cram school. Now as the New Year is approaching, all his older buddies in the compound are about to return, he’s feeling as impatient as a cat these days, just waiting for the break.

"Don’t you take vacation every day?" Someone else burst into laughter.

"Exactly! Sister Bo doesn’t hand in assignments, you sleep in class, coming or not doesn’t matter!"

Gao Jinglin nodded earnestly, "You’re right, I’m not coming tomorrow!"

"Hahaha—" The class erupted in laughter again.

The whole school is small, with only three classrooms in total. They’re divided according to study progress, the ones with the best grades, most likely to succeed are in Class 1, the average ones but don’t want to give up and continue working hard are in Class 2.

This is Class 3, mostly filled with tough kids who grew up messing around in the compound, second-rate scoundrels. Originally, these people should be sent to the rescue team for hard training, unknown what madness struck the elders at home, insisting on sending them here to study for the college entrance exam.

Pretending it’s for proving themselves, when it’s actually just disgraceful.

Gu Yunbo’s grades initially placed her in Class 1, but Class 1 had Gu Hongyue and Ping Simin, two troubled people, who constantly caused trouble making life unbearable, so she voluntarily asked to be moved to Class 3.

She didn’t realize until she came that this was the most suitable place for her.

Gu Yunbo was called to Teacher Guo’s office, standing there earnestly, hands by her sides, might as well be practicing her military posture early.

"Gu, you really disappoint me."

"I’m sorry, teacher. I’ve let you down."

Teacher Guo almost couldn’t catch his breath, nearly fainting. Look at this - what kind of student is this? Obviously gifted and smart, yet insisting on not applying themselves.

"How long since you last submitted homework? What have you been busy with every day?"

She was indeed busy, preparing herself for the upcoming recruitment and college exams next year, she designed herself a complete extreme training program, where’s the time for homework?

"Teacher, you know I have no parents! I have to earn money to support myself." She bit her lip, making a convincingly embarrassed and humiliated face, took ages to say, "I have to go out begging after school, so I don’t have time for homework."

Teacher Guo’s eyes immediately turned red, remorsefully saying, "Is that so? Aren’t you adopted by Ping Simin’s family?"

"I’m just a stray kid they adopted! How could I sit back and enjoy the ride?"

"Don’t say that about yourself, I believe in you!" Teacher Guo slammed his hand on the desk, fortunately, the other two teachers were in class or they’d be startled out of their wits.

Teacher Guo was so emotional, the original delinquent instantly turned into a diligent, hardworking, and aspiring ’model student.’ Not only were his eyes red, but he also pulled out a crumpled one yuan from his pocket and forced it into Gu Yunbo’s hand.
