Chapter 2230: Five Hundred Years Ago

Before Nangong Chu could finish speaking, Gu Zhiqi interrupted, "I won’t chat with you any longer, something’s come up, I have to go."

Nangong Chu: ?

"Hey, don’t go! We haven’t seen each other in so long, let’s talk a bit more before you leave," Nangong Chu called out to the three as they walked away.

However, no one paid him any attention.

"At least tell me where you’re going so I can find you later..."

Great, not only did they ignore him, but now they were gone.

Nangong Chu frowned with anxiety, after a long while, he let out a soft sigh, then turned back to the office.

There were still heaps of tasks waiting for him to handle; even if he wanted to find them, he probably wouldn’t have the time.

After leaving the Formation Academy, Gu Zhiqi and the other two went to the Medical Academy to find Hua Yan.

Along the way, they passed many places, Tang Yichen sighed with emotion, "So this is what the Formation Academy looked like 500 years ago."

Quickly, the three arrived at the Medical Academy, and Gu Zhiqi led Yun Yi and Tang Yichen to Hua Yan’s office without a hitch.

Gu Zhiqi knocked on the door of Hua Yan’s office, and soon after, the door opened.

As the door opened, Hua Yan saw the three people standing outside. Before she could fully make out who they were, she instinctively asked, "Who are you looking...?"

Before she could finish her question, the words faded away, "Mas... Master?"

Hua Yan stared at Gu Zhiqi for a few seconds before stammering out the word ’Master’.

After calling out, Hua Yan spread her arms wide as if to rush towards Gu Zhiqi, but Yun Yi quickly and deftly moved her behind him, with a slight smile on his lips, he half-squinted at Hua Yan.

Catching Yun Yi’s gaze, Hua Yan paused, and after a long while, she asked, "This... who is this?"

Gu Zhiqi: "Her name is Yun Yi."

Hua Yan nodded and said to Yun Yi, "Hel... Hello."

After greeting Yun Yi, Hua Yan turned to Tang Yichen, "And who is this?"

Gu Zhiqi: "Tang Yichen."

Hua Yan also greeted Tang Yichen.

After the three finished exchanging pleasantries, Gu Zhiqi said to Hua Yan, "Come on, let’s go to the otherworld for a while."

"Ah? Okay." Without asking for details, Hua Yan immediately agreed to go to the otherworld when Gu Zhiqi mentioned it.

However, after a few steps, Hua Yan remembered something and said to Gu Zhiqi, "I’ll leave a letter for Helian Jing, asking her to temporarily manage the academy’s affairs."

Gu Zhiqi had no objections.

Subsequently, Hua Yan left a letter for Helian Jing, and the three headed to the otherworld.

Five hundred years ago, there were no cars in the otherworld, nor were there planes, so they simply boarded a spaceship from Nine Stars City to the otherworld.

When they arrived in the otherworld, it was shrouded in smoke, with battles happening everywhere.

As the spaceship skimmed through the air, they occasionally encountered two Ancient martial artists fighting.

At this time, the organization Angel had not yet existed, but the Tongtian Sect did.

The people of the Tongtian Sect were easy to recognize, wearing yellow Daoist robes with a very uniform hairstyle.

Anyone they encountered was dealt with.

Soon, the spaceship arrived over the Imperial Capital.

At this time, it was not called the Imperial Capital but Imperial Beijing, and there was no Shadow Pavilion, only a shop called the Gate of Otherworld, through which anyone needed to pay to pass.

After arriving in Imperial Beijing, Gu Zhiqi retracted the spaceship, paid the fee, and everyone passed through the Teleportation Formation, entering the Ancient Martial Arts World.

At this time, the Ancient Martial Arts World was also in chaos, with battles happening everywhere.

Basically, every few steps, they would encounter a corpse, and those with low Cultivation Levels were running around in the streets, while the Tongtian Sect people were single-handedly massacring all the Ancient martial artists.

Along the way, Gu Zhiqi and the others rescued many people but couldn’t save everyone.
