Chapter 2226: What Happened After I Passed Out?

Originally, I thought Su Yunling hadn’t woken up yet, but upon going upstairs, I didn’t see him on the bed.

Gu Zhiqi paused her steps, quickened her pace, and searched the room. Finally, she found him in the washroom.

Looking at the person standing in front of the mirror with his back to her, Gu Zhiqi breathed a sigh of relief, "You’re awake?"

Tang Yichen, standing next to Gu Zhiqi, chimed in, "Third Brother, you’re finally awake. You have no idea, we were all worried sick."

Upon hearing their voices, the person in front of the mirror slowly turned around and looked at them.

He stood there for a few seconds, then tilted his head slightly, looking at them with a puzzled expression, "Excuse me, who are you?"

Su Yunling’s words made Gu Zhiqi and Tang Yichen both freeze in shock.

"Third Brother, you... you have amnesia?" Tang Yichen looked incredulous.

No way, no way—how could such a dramatic thing happen to Third Brother?

Gu Zhiqi stared at Su Yunling for a few seconds, then quietly said, "You don’t remember us?"

Her voice carried a hint of a sniffle.

At her words, Su Yunling’s figure paused slightly, then he stepped out of the washroom, striding over to Gu Zhiqi and pulling her into an embrace, "Just teasing you."

"Don’t cry."

As Su Yunling spoke, he gently patted the back of Gu Zhiqi’s head and rubbed his own cheek on her shoulder.

Hearing Su Yunling’s words, Gu Zhiqi paused, then raised her hand to push him away, hitting him several times, "Lying to me again! Lying to me again!"

Su Yunling, seeing this, didn’t dodge, just kept apologizing, "My bad."

Tang Yichen watched silently from the side, then quietly raised his eyes to the ceiling, wondering why he had to endure so much.

After glancing at the two of them, and seeing Su Yunling pull Gu Zhiqi back into his embrace, Tang Yichen quietly left.

This was clearly not the place for him to be.

Su Yunling coaxed her for quite a while before she finally calmed down.

Once she settled down, Su Yunling held her and sat down on the sofa, "Actually, I had more to say earlier."

But seeing her cry, he couldn’t take it.

Gu Zhiqi raised her eyes to look at him, "What did you want to say?"

Su Yunling’s lips curved into a soft smile, gazing at her tenderly, "Even though I don’t remember you, I feel like you should be the love of my life, my future wife."

Gu Zhiqi lowered her eyes, murmuring, "Cheesy."

Su Yunling chuckled, then leaned in slightly, pressing a gentle kiss on her forehead, "But, it’s the truth."

When Su Yunling’s lips left her forehead, Gu Zhiqi touched her forehead, then got up from his embrace and sat next to him, "Let me feel your pulse."

Su Yunling cooperatively extended his hand, then asked, "What happened after I fainted? What about the leader of Angel?"

He thought he was going to die.

Unexpectedly, he woke up in a room in Xilu Villa.

Just to make sure he was still human, he had even checked himself in the mirror.

Upon hearing his words, Gu Zhiqi was silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled and tilted her head slightly at him, "After you fainted, a really, really beautiful person appeared and defeated the leader of Angel."

Su Yunling’s expression paused slightly.

With his understanding of Gu Zhiqi, the "beautiful person" she referred to generally meant a man, since she usually called attractive women "beautiful little sisters" or "pretty young ladies."
