Sea Survival: My Luck is Off the Charts

Chapter 434 - 432: Exchange, Merge, Unification

She saw accessories that could block a single fatal blow. Even though the styles were different, each was only 50,000 points, so of course she bought one for everyone on the raft.

Since she’d bought the crafting blueprint for Storage Rings, she obviously had to stock up on Space Stones as well.

After getting plenty of all-season clothes and shoes for everyone on the raft, her thoughts turned to her other Skills. She searched for an upgrade to her Basic Medical Skills and, after a careful look, actually found one: a Medical Skill Upgrade Coupon for 50,000 points. Bought.

Too bad there wasn’t one for acupuncture, or she would have wanted one of those too.

She hadn’t even used it since she learned it.

She used all of her remaining 400,000-plus event points on Space Stones, Invitation Cards, potions, and other materials, both high-level and basic.

Unfortunately, she didn’t see any Teleportation Array Plates in the Point Mall. Otherwise, she felt she would have needed to stock up on a couple.

After spending all her points and distributing the items, Faye Yardley eagerly headed up to the second floor.

Arriving at the workbench, she entered the crafting blueprint for the Intermediate-Level storage ring, then took out the corresponding materials and began crafting.

While waiting, Faye Yardley took out the High-level Martial Arts Skill Book and started reading it intently.

She hadn’t even finished a single page before she felt her head spin.

’Why can’t a 600,000-point Skill Book just turn into knowledge and be downloaded directly into my brain?’

Rubbing the throbbing spot between her brows, she put the Skill Book away. When she looked at the workbench, sure enough, one ring was already finished.

Unexpectedly, the space inside was 12 cubic meters. ’Excellent. I can finally replace the one I’m wearing.’

It turned out that an Intermediate one could have 5 to 15 cubic meters of space, and the exact size was completely random.

Faye Yardley went ahead and put in materials for another 10 rings, letting the workbench craft them on its own.

[Congratulations to player Faye Yardley for achieving first place on the Garbage Cleanup event’s point leaderboard. Personal reputation +500, free attribute points +2, Centennial Brew x3.]

She decisively added both points to her Spirit, and the dizziness from reading the book vanished instantly.

Checking the time, she saw it was just a little after 7:00. ’As expected, I’m super fast at spending points.’

Since she couldn’t learn the High-level Martial Arts all at once, Faye Yardley took out the Medical Upgrade Coupon. Perfect. A stream of unfamiliar knowledge flowed into her brain, ticklish and warm. ’It feels like my brain is growing again.’

Her original Basic Medical Skills became Intermediate Medical Skill.

"Right, I forgot to check the rankings for everyone else. My reward for first place was free attribute points. What about the others?"

Jay Jonas was ranked second, and Logan Langdon was third. Her brother only managed to get fourth, and Zachary Pierce was fifth.

The names after that were all unfamiliar to her.

Zephyr Sterling was in 18th place. For just the two of them, he and the Master had done incredibly well.

She made a call and asked directly, "Bro, what was your reward for fourth place?"

"+1 free attribute point, and two blueprints that will be useful for the guild."

"Not bad. Too bad you were only a little over 2,000 points behind Logan Langdon. Why didn’t you just kill three more Sea Monsters?"

Ethan Yardley: ...

’You think I didn’t want to?’

"Alright, we need to spend all our points before 8:00. I have to go."

’Fine, be that way.’ After hanging up, Faye Yardley glanced at the workbench and headed to her room.

’I got so many new clothes, of course I have to wear them.’

The sun hadn’t set yet, the temperature was pleasant, and the stench of garbage was gone. In a great mood, Faye Yardley changed into a pale pink dress.

For a rare change, she let her hair down—long, dark, and smooth—and pinned it with a Ruby Hairpin.

She sat down to put on high heels, only to find that once she stood up, she couldn’t walk.

She switched to flats in a heartbeat.

[All-Server Announcement: Dear players, the current total population of Aquaria has just reached 1 billion. A server merge will now commence.] (x3)

’How sudden~’

Before the shock of this announcement could fade, the system made another one.

[As players from Veridia on Aquaria constitute the vast majority of the total player population, the designations of all other nations will be eliminated.] (x3)

[What the hell?! What about our great Freyan? How can we just disappear because we have fewer people?!]

[I’m the number one player in Solon, but I can’t even make the top ten on Veridia’s individual power rankings?]

[Baka! Baka! Veridia should have been a vassal state of our Chrysanthor...]

[Pfft~ The nerve. You lot aren’t even worthy of washing Veridia’s feet.]

[Ahhh, hahaha... I’m finally back in the arms of Veridia after being stuck in Goliathon~]

[There are only 1 billion people left in the whole world? The death rate is so high.]

[Damn, has no one noticed that the number one player on the power rankings is a beautiful young girl? *Haaah, haaah*~ She looks so delicious~]

[...]

Faye Yardley really hadn’t expected this kind of development. Come to think of it, she hadn’t thought about the past in a very long time.

The system had blocked a lot from her. After all, her Spirit was weak before, so she might not have been able to remember. But it was different now, yet she still couldn’t recall.

’Veridia... Does this count as global unification?’

If she hadn’t set her status to reject all friend requests from strangers long ago, she would have been drowned in messages by now.

She glanced at the now-National Channel. Great. A babble of multiple languages scrolled by endlessly.

Maybe the system also found the mishmash of languages too chaotic, because before everyone’s astonished eyes, it all converted into the Veridian language.

Faye Yardley gave a thumbs-up. She really wanted to praise it: ’System, you’re pretty slick.’

Regardless of how unhappy people from other countries were, the Veridians were certainly pleased.

BEEP BEEP BEEP~

Master Veridian: Yardley, send over two pots of glutinous rice wine. I’m in a great mood today and plan to drink my fill.

Faye Yardley thought for a moment and replied: Master, if you’re done exchanging your items, I can prepare a table of food and wine and invite you over for a drink.

He accepted quickly.

’I just got this Centennial Brew, perfect timing for a drink.’

She opened the door. "Willow, prepare some good food, and make plenty of dishes that go well with drinks. I’ve invited the Master and the others."

"I understand, Sister. Don’t worry, I’ll have everything prepared properly."

She also invited her brother and Gavin Donovan.

But they both had guild meetings to attend. ’Fine, whatever. It’s their loss.’

’I’m not about to let them waste it anyway.’

A Centennial Brew acknowledged by the system was bound to be an incredibly rare treasure.

Faye Yardley went downstairs and outside. She looked up at the still-bright sky. The round sun didn’t seem to have any intention of resting.

She pulled up her system panel and adjusted the raft’s heading toward the location of the Silver Treasure Chest. It looked much closer from here than before, but she had no idea how long it would take to get there.

’The safety of my island depends on it. I have to get there first and eliminate the danger ahead of time.’

After 8:00 PM, Faye Yardley sent invitations to the Master and Zephyr Sterling.

There were just enough of them to fill a table.

However, only Faye Yardley, the Master, and Zephyr were drinking. Faye had stopped the others, telling them they were too young for alcohol.

"Good wine!"
