Sea Survival: My Luck is Off the Charts

Chapter 363: Joy is Meant to be Shared

Faye Yardley hadn’t expected to rattle Logan Langdon again.

’Every lucky person was a heaven-defying existence, the kind of person fate itself seemed to bend over backward to help. In this world, that just meant they were favored by the System.’

’If the System were a person, Faye Yardley was sure she’d have a special place in Its heart.’

’After all, ranking above 99.99% of others meant there were still quite a few people with a high Luck Value like her, especially since Aquaria’s total population was huge.’

’Generally speaking, people with high Luck Value were always able to turn disaster into fortune, and danger into safety.’

’So she believed that the further she went, the people she’d encounter toward the end would be those with high Luck Value.’

’She didn’t know where this path would ultimately lead, but she firmly believed that as long as she didn’t just coast on her Luck Value and give up on working hard, there would be a place for her at the very top!’

She opened her door and shouted, "Willow, get some good food and drinks ready! I’m so happy today, we need to celebrate!"

"Of course. Congratulations on another big leap in your power."

Faye Yardley hummed in agreement. "Have everyone else join us."

"Got it."

Humming a little tune, she brewed herself another cup of Star Feather Flower Tea. It didn’t increase her Spirit Attribute this time, but Faye didn’t mind. The tea’s flavor really suited her palate—sweet and sour, with even a faint hint of bitterness.

The vase of Star Feather Flowers by her bed seemed even more listless today, but her own spirits were high. She wasn’t sure if it was the increase in her body’s Attributes or if the flowers’ vitality had been transferred to her.

Faye Yardley went over and added a little water to the vase before heading to the small balcony to check on the vine and the Green Egg.

She lifted the Green Egg and held it up to the sun. To her surprise, she could now vaguely make out a dark shadow inside the shell.

"Oh, Azure Egg, you’ve gotten bigger! I guess we’ll be able to meet soon. You’re looking great." Delighted, Faye Yardley took out two of her few Light Energy Fragments and fed them to it.

The Green Egg bounced excitedly in her palm.

The nearby vine seemed to sway its tendrils happily as well.

"Don’t worry, you get some too."

Faye Yardley placed the Green Egg back in its little nest on the sofa and fed a Light Energy Fragment to the vine as well. The Flower Dew, on the other hand, was long gone.

’Watching the vine’s happy display, an idea suddenly sparked in Faye Yardley’s mind. She had a Purple Island Order, and she could specify the destination! She could just go to a place where Flower Dew could be collected, bring the vine to the island, and let it drink its fill all at once. Wouldn’t that solve the problem?’

The increase in her Spirit Attribute had also made her memory excellent. A moment’s thought was all it took to recall landing on Island 335, which had Flower Spirits on it.

’She just didn’t know if it had an Island Master.’

Dahlia White might know. As soon as the thought occurred to her, she called to ask.

Dahlia White answered on the other end almost immediately. "Hey, Faye! What made you think of me? Is there another sweet deal like last time waiting for me? Don’t worry, I’ve gotten stronger. I’ll definitely do a better job than before."

Faye Yardley shook her head, shattering her friend’s delusion. "Not this time. I just wanted to ask about that place we went to last time, the one filled with huge flowers where we ran into the Flower Spirit. Does it have an owner, or can anyone just go there?"

"That place? Let me think..." Dahlia White paused for a moment. "Oh, you mean that island? Of course, it’s owned. You want to go?"

"Yeah. Who’s the owner? Could you ask them if I can visit?"

Dahlia White let out a skeptical noise. "Faye, you’re not being very convincing. You’re obviously after the goodies there."

Faye Yardley laughed. "Okay, fine. I want the dew from the flowers. It’s great for making tea. I collected some last time, but I’ve already used it all up."

Dahlia White was speechless. "That’s it? You have such low ambitions. If you just want some Flower Dew, hang on, I’ll recommend a seller to you."

A moment later, Faye Yardley received a contact card recommendation: Flower Spirit Jasmine.

"Thanks, I’ll send a friend request."

"And remember to call me if you find another sweet deal like last time."

"Don’t you worry. Just focus on getting stronger. I’m afraid you won’t be able to keep up otherwise."

Dahlia White replied with a huff. "Don’t underestimate me. I’m plenty strong."

Faye Yardley nodded emphatically. "Right, you’re the strongest. Thanks a bunch, bye-bye~"

After hanging up, Dahlia White had a nagging feeling that something about what Faye had just said was off.

Faye Yardley did indeed send a friend request to Flower Spirit Jasmine, who accepted. When Jasmine learned she wanted Flower Dew, she was initially indifferent and expressionless. But the moment Faye said she’d be happy to take a ton or two to start, and that if she liked it, ten or a hundred tons wouldn’t be too much, a smile bloomed on Jasmine’s face that was more beautiful than any flower.

’Originally, Faye Yardley had planned on using her Island Entry Order. But the island had an owner, and sneaking over to collect a large amount of Flower Dew would definitely get her noticed. A tiny collection would probably go unnoticed, though.’

’But a tiny amount wouldn’t be very effective.’

’So with such an affordable price, there was simply no need to take the risk.’

’After all, Jasmine was offering a ton, delivered, for only 1 gold coin.’

’Looking at her account balance, she felt there was absolutely no reason to risk it.’

’After all, as a respectable Island Master, she couldn’t personally engage in such thievery... unless she absolutely had to.’

’If money could solve the problem, then it wasn’t really a problem.’

Picking up two large leaves that had fallen off the vine, Faye Yardley said, "You’ll have a tasty drink soon. I bought a ton to test the quality first. If it’s no good, we won’t waste any more money. And if it comes down to it, I’m not above ’stowing away’ and losing a little face."

The vine shed two more large leaves as if in gratitude.

"Alright, alright. It’s not easy for you to store up energy right now, don’t be so generous. Save some." Faye Yardley collected the new leaves, once again leaped out the window, and headed straight for the stables.

"Bella! Bella! Huh? Who were you out fooling around with this time?"

MEOW~

Blackwood appeared out of nowhere and leaped onto her shoulder.

"Blackwood~"

Faye Yardley stroked his head and pulled out a mirror. "Come on, Blackwood, look at yourself."

Before he could even see his reflection, Blackwood let out a MEOW and bolted.

"Hey, hey, Blackwood! What are you running for? It’s just a mirror!"

She turned her head and saw Lucy White riding Bella onto the raft.

"Faye!"

Faye Yardley smiled and nodded, then called out to the horse, "Bella, come here."

Bella ran over and nuzzled affectionately against Faye Yardley. Faye then stuffed two vine leaves into the horse’s mouth. "Tasty, right?"

After the leaves, she gave her a green Light Energy Fragment.

"I’m in a good mood today, so you get a bonus. Lucy, come on, let’s go get a feast for ourselves, too!"
