Chapter 351: Can We Ride the Pirate Ship Twice?

Amidst the cacophony, Faye Yardley felt like she could even hear the creaking of the oak barrel carrying Master Veridian and Zephyr Sterling.

"Come on, Gramps, hurry up! You too, Mr. Zephyr Sterling!" The whip in Lucy White’s hands was itching for a fight, but she remembered how she had almost gotten her sister in trouble earlier and was now trying hard to restrain the urge to act.

Cole Kensington kept glancing at Lucy White, even subtly positioning himself a step in front of her, worried the hot-headed girl would do something reckless.

Just as their nearly-shattered oak barrel was about to dock, it was violently rammed by another aggressive one. Zephyr Sterling was sent flying along with the splintering wood. A duster had appeared in Master Veridian’s hand at some point. With a flick and a swirl, he snatched Zephyr Sterling away from others who were reaching for him, whipping the young man toward Faye Yardley.

He was just shy of the mark. Using the momentum from his master’s pull, Zephyr Sterling pushed off a Kobold’s head and launched himself forward, landing steadily beside Faye Yardley.

Meanwhile, Master Veridian was in grave danger. The oak barrel had completely disintegrated, leaving him without any protection. He instantly felt an unprecedented pressure as a terrifying sense of doom washed over him.

He tried to jump onto other oak barrels for leverage, but it felt as if his body were shackled.

Then, he heard a snapping sound from within his body. The next second, a feeling of lightness washed over him. Seizing the opportunity, he flicked his duster. Faye Yardley grabbed the end, providing the leverage he needed to be pulled out of the fray.

Regardless of how they got out, the fact was that they were out. They then received the system notification for completing the second game.

"That was close. Too close. This old Taoist nearly went to the great beyond." Master Veridian immediately gave Faye Yardley a formal Taoist salute. "Thank you, young friend, for the protection you placed on me. Without it, I would have surely been done for."

Zephyr Sterling bowed to Faye Yardley as well. To him, his master was a father figure; saving his master was like saving his own life.

Faye Yardley waved her hand. "Don’t mention it. We’re a team. No need for thanks. We still have two more games to go, so let’s hurry. Let’s do the pirate ship next. I think we’ll all be well-suited for that one."

After all, the pirate ship ride was set on the vast ocean. Since they had all come from the sea, returning to a familiar environment would give them more confidence in a fight.

"We’ll follow your lead," the Master said briskly. ’A life debt is something to be kept in the heart. Saying too much would make it seem like I don’t truly take it seriously.’

Sure enough, when the pirate ship game started, the others also felt like they were back in a familiar environment.

The raging waves and violent storms couldn’t instill any fear in them.

They were even more ferocious than the pirates who suddenly appeared, fighting with wild abandon.

Faye Yardley compared this run to her last one. She hadn’t encountered any pirates that time.

’Could it be that entering as a team triggers a hidden scenario?’

None of this posed any real problem for them. They smoothly rode the dilapidated pirate ship to the exit.

Upon choosing to leave the Dungeon, they found themselves back on their raft in the next second.
