Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 451 - 450: Here Comes Death!

"Everyone, get ready!"

Dimitrescu’s voice rang out as she put the fighter jet into her personal warehouse.

The aircraft vanished instantly, and the group inside was thrown into sudden weightlessness.

For ordinary people, plummeting from such a height would mean certain death. But these were top-tier Samsaras. None panicked. One by one, they unfurled their powers, stabilizing themselves midair.

Within moments, they all landed safely.

Thousand Lanterns Island Nation below was already cloaked in night. Their landing point was remote, far from the city lights, leaving only silence and darkness around them.

Vivienne Song checked her watch. "It’s 8:40 p.m. According to intelligence, Adam is currently holed up in a hotel. He plans to strike at nine. Time is running short."

She raised her voice so all could hear. "But we won’t act prematurely. Once Adam and Uvall engage, we’ll wait for the opening—and then strike Adam together!"

Everyone understood the strategy. Let the tigers clash, then move in like fishermen to claim the spoils. No one opposed it.

"Remember," Vivienne continued, her gaze sharp, "our target is Adam. Against his allies, we delay them. If you can’t win, retreat. As long as Adam is stopped, the mission is a success."

Nods of agreement circled through the group.

Everyone knew that the heaviest burden fell on Vivienne and Fenric—Shura—who would confront Adam directly. The rest only needed to contain his forces.

"Any objections?" Vivienne asked.

None spoke up. Without better intelligence, they dared not offer reckless suggestions.

"Good. Then move out!"

At her command, the team launched into the night sky, streaking toward the capital.

Vivienne drifted closer to Fenric as they flew. Her voice lowered. "Fenric, you don’t blame me for deciding this without asking, do you? To have you risk everything against Adam at my side?"

Fenric gave a small, calm smile. "What’s there to blame? You’re overthinking it, Aurora."

Vivienne’s lips curved faintly, but her tone was grave. "Still... be careful. I’ve faced Adam more than once. He’s ambitious, cunning, and far more dangerous than he lets on."

Fenric simply nodded. He needed no reminder. Anyone who could hold the top of the global master list for so long was an opponent to respect.

They flew swiftly, and soon the city stretched below them.

But Oykot was no longer the bustling metropolis it once was.

Once world-renowned for its prosperity, now it lay under Uvall’s shadow. Half the nation was already under his dominion. Ruins scarred the land, fear spread like plague, and the once-proud island trembled.

Wealthy families had fled. Officials abandoned their posts, hiding abroad. The economy teetered on collapse, teetering beyond even the depths of a "Great Depression."

Those too poor or powerless to leave clung to the remnants of life, huddling in the capital. Even here, citizens dared not walk the streets after dark. Evil spirits stalked the night—spawn of Uvall, horrors from hell itself.

The devastation was staggering.

"A few months ago, I came to Oykot on business," Vivienne said quietly, her voice tinged with sorrow. "Back then it was still dazzling, vibrant. To see it reduced to this... it’s hard to believe."

Fenric remained silent. He had never set foot in Oykot before, though he knew of its prosperity from anime. Now, gazing at its hollowed shell, even he felt a flicker of surprise.

Uvall had truly brought the nation to its knees.

"Commander Song," one Samsara finally asked, "didn’t you say Adam was in the capital? Where are we going?"

Vivienne didn’t slow. "To focus only on Adam is too passive. We don’t need to chase him—we only need to watch Uvall. According to my information, Uvall is in Saka Guchi(*Mouth of the Hill)."

The reasoning was clear. If Adam sought Uvall, then Uvall would draw him out.

The group pressed onward. Saka Guchi was not far, and their speed carried them there quickly. Once they arrived, they scattered and concealed themselves, lying in wait.

Across the world, tension mounted.

Governments, militaries, and Samsaras alike knew the appointed time: nine o’clock. Adam’s strike was no secret.

Now, less than a minute remained.

The battle that could reshape the world order was about to begin.

Nine o’clock.

Inside his suite, Adam opened his eyes. His aura surged. Without a word, he launched himself from the window, his cameraman in tow.

In the Pentagon, the President and his generals straightened, their eyes glued to the live feed.

Above the Country Capital, dark specks filled the night sky—flying Samsaras rushing toward the battlefield. Those without flight weaved through the skyscrapers below, darting like shadows.

Citizens glimpsed them from their windows. One man swore he saw a figure in a black hoodie swinging past on spider-like silk.

Countless Samsaras converged on Saka Guchi—fighters, opportunists, and thrill-seekers alike.

The town itself no longer resembled a human city. The ground was slick with black corruption. The streets crawled with grotesque, low-level monsters. From the air, Saka Guchi looked less like a town and more like hell itself.

On the roof of a crumbling building sat Uvall. Wings folded behind him, a demonic face glinting in the dark, a massive golden sword resting by his throne. Several trembling girls tended to him, pouring tea with shaking hands.

His eyes snapped open.

Sensing the tide of power closing in, he rose, shoving the servants aside. His wings unfurled.

"Death has come," Uvall sneered.

With a beat of his wings, he shot into the night sky.
