Chapter 63: Chapter 32: Healing Saga, The Secret of the Eighth Sense! (Part 1)
Bringing Saga back to the Gemini Temple, Alex waved his hand to conjure a domain, completely isolating them from any probing senses.
Saga lay on the cold ground, his chest heaving violently. Every breath he took was accompanied by a broken, ragged wheeze.
His face was as pale as paper, his sea-blue hair plastered to his neck with grime and blood. Taking the Ultimate Techniques of three Gold Saints head-on with nothing but his mortal flesh, entirely bereft of his Cloth’s protection, had ultimately exceeded his physical limits.
Aiolia’s fist aura had shattered his ribs, Milo’s Scarlet Needles had poisoned his entire body, and Shura’s Excalibur had nearly cleaved him in two.
"You... are certainly ruthless to yourself."
Looking at Saga’s dying state, Alex couldn’t help but feel a twinge of admiration.
Had he, as a transmigrator, not disrupted the original timeline, the one sitting upon the Pope’s throne right now should have been this very man—a man who possessed both divine majesty and demonic malice.
Since he had already gone out of his way to save him, he might as well finish the job. Alex twitched a finger, retrieving a crystal vial from his private dimensional space. The crimson liquid inside faintly glowed. This was a Life Blood Vial he had exchanged from the Reincarnation Space for a mere 100 Credit Points. He had already tested its efficacy on Whitebeard; it could bring someone back from the brink of death even if half their face were blown off.
The primary reason he hadn’t intervened earlier was that as long as Saga had a single breath left, Alex was confident he could snatch his soul right back from the grasp of Hades.
"It’s not time for the Holy War of the Underworld yet. It is not your turn to go to the Underworld, Saga!"
Alex poured the crimson liquid down Saga’s throat.
As the cool liquid slid down, Saga’s eyelashes fluttered violently.
A visible flush of color spread from his neck up to his cheeks, and his previously unfocused pupils gradually regained their clarity.
Alex simply took out two more vials and poured them both in. Since the item only cost 100 Credit Points, he figured he might as well restore him entirely in one go.
As the last drop of liquid fell, the gruesome wounds across Saga’s chest healed at a visible rate. The mangled, split flesh receded like a fading tide, leaving behind only pale pink, newly formed skin. Even the hidden scars left from old, grueling injuries vanished without a trace.
Saga opened his eyes. The very first thing he saw was Alex’s handsome, expressionless face.
He sat up and surveyed the familiar yet unfamiliar surroundings. The Gemini reliefs carved into the stone walls gave him the surreal feeling of having lived a lifetime away.
"Where is this? How long has it been since I was injured?"
By Saga’s estimation, having suffered such catastrophic injuries, even with a Saint’s regenerative abilities far surpassing an ordinary human’s, it would take at least a month or two to fully recover. Without proper medical treatment, three or four months would have been perfectly normal.
"This is the Gemini Temple. And since you were injured... it’s been about five minutes?"
Five minutes? How is that possible?
Saga stared at his own body in sheer disbelief. His previously broken, ruined physique no longer bore a single trace of injury. Even the internal wear and tear accumulated from his rigorous training over the recent days had been completely healed.
"How did you do this?"
Alex gave a soft chuckle, declining to discuss the matter further with Saga.
"From here on out, we proceed according to my plan. Rest and stay hidden for a few days. When the time is right, you should know what to do."
Saga clenched his fists tightly.
"Don’t worry. To be able to return to the Sanctuary, I owe you a great favor. I will absolutely fulfill what I promised you."
Alex turned and walked toward the exit of the Gemini Temple. Without looking back, his voice drifted faintly into Saga’s ears.
"You aren’t doing this just for me; you are doing it for yourself as well!"
...
Just as Alex returned to the Aquarius Temple, Pisces Aphrodite had already been waiting there for a long time.
Aphrodite stared deeply at Alex with a complex expression, looking at him as if he were seeing him for the very first time.
"Alex, His Holiness the Pope requests your presence..."
Alex nodded and followed him toward the Pope’s Palace.
Along the white jade steps, a bronze lamp stood every three paces. The flames flickered in the wind, stretching the two men’s shadows long and short.
Along the way, Aphrodite couldn’t help but repeatedly glance at Alex’s profile.
"Alex, what exactly are your thoughts regarding Saga? Why do I feel like I’m finding it harder and harder to understand you?"
In his heart, Alex had always been a steady and reliable older brother figure. Yet, his actions this time—bringing Saga back to the Sanctuary—were so utterly insane it was as if he were a completely different person.
Alex’s gaze turned distant.
"Dite, perhaps it is because the world I see is far vaster than the one you perceive..."
Arriving at the entrance of the Pope’s grand hall, Aphrodite tactfully remained outside to stand guard. Shion’s deep, aged voice echoed from within the hall.
