Chapter 329: Chapter 166: Zombie Wanda, Shion’s Request! (Part 1)

Instantly, the movements of all the Westview residents wandering and lingering on the streets came to a sudden halt.

Their heads turned toward Alex in unison, snapping at angles that defied human anatomy.

Their initially normal-looking faces began to decay and twist in an instant. Skin peeled off, and muscles rotted away to reveal the white bone beneath. Scarlet light flickered in their eye sockets as they dead-locked onto him, the sole living creature.

A wave of extreme hunger for pure life energy, originating from the deepest depths of their zombie instincts and mixed with tyrannical killing intent, swept in from all directions, converging entirely on Alex.

"Roar!"

Deafening shrieks suddenly erupted, shattering the dead silence.

Hundreds, even thousands of zombies swarmed madly from street corners, shattered windows, and behind collapsed houses. They crawled on all fours; some even leaped down from rooftops. Their movements were unbelievably swift for ordinary zombies as they lunged at Alex like an overwhelming, heaven-blotting tide.

The stench of rot, twisted faces, and cold-gleaming fangs instantly formed a tidal wave of death that threatened to devour everything.

Faced with this zombie horde that would make any hero despair, Alex didn’t even furrow his brow.

Beneath the silver-gray horned Thunder God helmet covering the upper half of his face, his eyes remained as calm as still water, as if what stood before him were not lethal zombies, but fallen leaves drifting in the wind.

He calmly raised his right hand. Mjolnir lit up with purple lightning in his grasp.

Previously on Xandar, Alex had used Absolute Zero because he hadn’t wanted to cause unwarranted slaughter.

But against these zombies who had completely lost their humanity, there was absolutely no need to hold back.

Without warning, without incantation.

Alex simply pressed Mjolnir down lightly.

Boom! Crack!

A pillar of light that defied the description of mere lightning—resembling more a spear of judgment forged from pure, violent energy—struck vertically onto the ground ten meters in front of him.

Instantly, within a one-kilometer radius of the impact zone, all matter—the asphalt roads, abandoned vehicles, and swarming zombies—did not explode within that ten-thousandth of a second. Instead, they were directly vaporized. All that was left in its place was a bottomless, charred crater with edges as smooth as glass, its walls shimmering with the blinding, red-hot glow of molten lava.

Before the aftershocks of the first strike had completely dissipated, Alex gave Mjolnir a light twist.

From the edge of the massive crater and the ten-meter space surrounding him, hundreds of twisting, leaping blue-white electrical arcs burst forth out of thin air!

They were no longer straight bolts of lightning, but violent lightning serpents possessing a life of their own.

The speed of the lightning serpents surpassed the limits of visual perception. With Alex at the center, they shot out madly in a radial pattern, accurately piercing through the head of every single Westview zombie.

There were no explosions, only silent penetration. The struck zombies stiffened instantly as blinding electrical light shot out from their eye sockets, mouths, and noses. Their entire heads were instantaneously carbonized by the high-voltage current, disintegrating into a fine black powder that rustled to the ground.

Carried by momentum, the headless corpses stumbled forward a few steps before collapsing limply.

The air was thick with the nauseating, overpowering mixture of ozone and burnt protein.

With just a single strike, Alex had completely cleared the entire town of Westview.

"Come out, I know you’re here!"

Alex’s voice echoed through the empty streets.

As soon as the words left his mouth, the space not far in front of him suddenly twisted and wrinkled violently, like a piece of silk crumpled by an invisible giant hand.

A blinding scarlet energy forcefully pried open the void, like a tearing wound!

A slender figure flew out from the rift, hovering a few feet above the ground in mid-air.

Unstable particles of scarlet energy constantly dissipated from her body. She wore a tattered dark red battle suit, her disheveled long hair clinging to her pale, haggard face. In those eyes that might have once been bright, there was now nothing but an impenetrable sorrow, madness, and a desperate obsession.

Alex was slightly surprised. This woman was actually the Scarlet Witch, Wanda!

But Strange had clearly said that the Wanda of this universe had already sealed herself away.

The Wanda before his eyes suddenly looked up, letting out a mournful, bloodcurdling shriek.

Her eye sockets were highly decayed, revealing the scarlet light within. Her gaze immediately locked onto Alex, or more accurately, onto the energy radiating from the three Infinity Stones within his body.
