Chapter 301: Chapter 152: Hades’s Fury, a Six-Thousand-Year Opportunity! (Part 1)

Inside the Temple of Hades in the Underworld, the air was filled with a deathly stillness and a silence so thick it could not be dispersed.

"Lord Hades! I have met with Apollo!"

Hypnos knelt on one knee, his head bowed deeply. His gold and white robes, tainted with the golden light dust from the outskirts of Olympus, appeared exceptionally glaring in the dark Underworld.

His voice carried a trace of desperately suppressed exhaustion and an unconcealable sense of humiliation.

The eyes of the divine statue suddenly snapped open! Two eerie green flames blazed fiercely, and a massive divine power, carrying an icy and unquestionable oppressive might, descended from the above.

"What did he say?"

Hades’s voice transmitted directly into Hypnos’s ears, like muffled thunder rolling in the deepest depths of the underworld.

Hypnos did not dare to conceal the slightest detail, relaying the entire process of his audience with Apollo, along with the God of Light’s response, word for word.

Finally, Hypnos concluded.

"Apollo’s meaning is that it is not yet time for him to intervene, and he suggests you initiate the Greatest Eclipse first."

Hypnos gritted his teeth and said in a deep voice, "Lord Hades, in my opinion, Apollo wants to wait until our three factions have fought until we are covered in wounds... That is when he will finally intervene and take over the authority of the earth."

"This human realm, along with our Underworld, will all become his stepping stones to the throne of the God King."

By the end, Hypnos’s voice had already taken on an unconcealable trace of humiliation and coldness.

As a god himself, he naturally understood the true meaning behind Apollo’s words.

Apollo refused to intervene now simply because he didn’t want to needlessly consume his own power!

He was a dignified god; although merely a subordinate god to the Underworld King, being chased out of Mount Olympus by Apollo as if dismissing a beggar made it impossible for him to swallow this anger.

Boom!

The Temple of Hades trembled violently!

Giant stones and rubble from the temple’s vaulted ceiling cascaded down. The light wrapping the divine statue was no longer green, but transformed into fiercely burning, nearly physical dark blue underworld flames!

Those flames distorted the air, exuding an extreme chill capable of freezing souls and a frenzied rage capable of incinerating all things.

"A-PO-LLO!!!"

Hades’s roar, like the shrieks of billions of vengeful souls, instantly tore through the dead sky of the Underworld.

The River Lethe in Elysium flowed backwards from the shockwave, and the deceased souls across the Eight Prisons, Three Valleys, Ten Trenches, and Four Spheres shivered in terror under the Underworld King’s oppressive might.

He had sought aid from Apollo, yet Apollo treated him as a stepping stone!

That fury of being despised, calculated against, and treated as a pawn completely ignited Hades’s dormant brutality.

The underworld flames around the divine statue surged madly, reflecting the distorted silhouette of Hades’s cold statue, as if attempting to burn the temple itself to ashes.

"Fine! Let him play his games of shadows and convenience. Apollo fancies himself the grand orchestrator of my fall? He will find that stepping on me is like treading upon the mouth of Hell itself."

Hades’s voice was like ice from the deepest abyss scraping against bone; every word revealed a maddening hatred and a destructive resolve.

"Since he wishes to sit back and reap the spoils... then I shall grant his wish!"

"Relay my divine decree!"

Hades’s voice carried a desperate, all-or-nothing madness.

"Wait for the alignment of the nine planets, then immediately initiate the Greatest Eclipse! Completely swallow the brilliance of the sun, and let the eternal night of the Underworld shroud the earth! All things will wither, and all vitality will be severed!"

Hypnos and Thanatos hurriedly tried to dissuade him.

"Please reconsider, Lord Hades. Although the alignment of the nine planets only occurs once every six thousand years and is the best opportunity to draw the living beings of the earth into the Underworld, doing this will force the Sanctuary and the Sea God into a corner with no room for reversal."

Hades sneered coldly.

"Do you think my Underworld is like the Sea God’s divine domain, where they can come and go as they please?"

"Furthermore, I still have the Wailing Wall. Since the Mythological Era, no one has ever been able to shatter the Wailing Wall. Athena cannot, and neither can Poseidon!"

"Let them try to force their way in. It will naturally make them realize the vast divine might of my Underworld!"

Hypnos and Thanatos’s gazes darkened slightly. Indeed, the alignment of the nine planets that only appeared once every six thousand years was a rare opportunity.

Once missed, they would have to wait another six thousand years.

Since ancient times, the Holy War held every 243 years had always ended in defeat for the Underworld faction.

Hades could no longer endure it. Athena wanted to end the Holy War, but how could Hades not desire the same!

After a prolonged tug-of-war, both gods had lost their patience...

Hades sneered coldly.

"I want Athena, along with Poseidon, and the Olympian Gods... to all taste the flavor of despair together!"

"Let Athena and her Sanctuary struggle and wail in eternal darkness! Let Apollo see that the earth he desires will be nothing but a worthless, scorched wasteland of death!"
