Chapter 138: Chapter 69: Making a Deal, the Ophiuchus Cloth! (Part 2)

’With skills like that, it’s a real shame he didn’t go to Thailand!’ Alex roasted him inwardly.

His gaze swept up and down Asclepius’s body, eventually landing on the intricately designed, noble, and elegant Ophiuchus Gold Cloth.

The corners of Alex’s mouth curled up slightly, a hint of a smile playing on his face. "If you want me to save you, you’re going to have to pay a price!"

Asclepius suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. He looked up, meeting what he perceived to be Alex’s malicious gaze. Gritting his teeth, he said firmly, "No. Impossible. Don’t even think about it! Alex, I never expected you to be that kind of person!"

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Forget it, then. It’s not like I absolutely have to go to the Underworld anyway. I see you don’t have much time left. We’re done fighting. Use your final moments to properly enjoy the scenery of the mortal realm!"

Alex turned and started walking toward the exit. He hadn’t taken more than a few steps when Asclepius’s voice called out from behind him.

"W-wait! Wait a minute!"

Alex turned around, only to see a faint blush rising on Asclepius’s demonicly handsome face.

Asclepius closed his eyes in resignation, a few tears slowly sliding down his cheeks. "F-fine. Fine, I accept your terms. Come do it!"

Alex gave a cold snort.

’He’s a grown man. I just asked for his Cloth, what is he crying for? If he’s really that unwilling, he can just use his own strength to snatch it back in the future.’

He raised an eyebrow. "You should have just been this straightforward from the start. Take it off!"

Asclepius’s body shuddered violently. Gritting his teeth in utter humiliation, he slowly took off the Ophiuchus Cloth. He leaned against a stone pillar, clenching his jaw tightly.

Alex slowly walked toward... the Ophiuchus Cloth. He stroked the golden armor, his eyes filled with sheer admiration.

He even praised it aloud, "These lines, this luster... it truly is a perfect creation!"

Hearing this, Asclepius’s body shook again. He clenched his jaw and waited for a long time, but didn’t feel anything... unusual happening to him.

Asclepius turned his head, only to find Alex looking at... his Cloth with the tender gaze one would give a lover.

Under extreme shock, Asclepius’s voice grew somewhat shrill. "Ah... you... you wanted my Cloth?"

Alex turned his head, looking at him with a bizarre expression. "Uh, yeah? Otherwise, do you have anything else of value on you besides this Cloth?"

Asclepius’s face flushed bright red. He stammered, "Ah, I-I just wanted to tell you that as long as I’m alive, this Cloth won’t accept anyone else. Furthermore, I summoned this Cloth from the long river of time. Leaving it for you is meaningless."

Alex chuckled. "You don’t need to worry about that. Now, could you please go outside the temple and enjoy the scenery?"
