Chapter 134: Chapter 67: Frozen Space! I Am Immortal! (Part 2)

At this moment, Asclepius was thoroughly and utterly dead.

The Bronze Saints stared dumbfounded at the scene unfolding before them, their hearts filled with absolute shock.

First, Alex had miraculously recovered from the brink of death back to peak condition. Then, without even visibly igniting his Cosmo, he had frozen the Ophiuchus Gold Saint into a solid block of ice with a mere, light tap.

This was the very same Saint who had effortlessly wiped the floor with all four of them using just poison gas, before they could even exchange a single blow!

Only at this moment did they truly and viscerally comprehend just what kind of terrifying existence Hyoga’s formidable and cold teacher truly was!

Through his newly awakened Seventh Sense, Shiryu also perceived that the mysterious Saint’s Cosmo had completely vanished. He couldn’t help but mutter to himself.

"Is this the true strength of the strongest Gold Saint of the current era? The pressure he gives off... feels far more overwhelming than even Master Dohko’s!"

Seiya couldn’t help but feel a wave of lingering dread. Back at the foot of the mountain, he had almost thrown a punch at Alex and had even rejected his offer to guard Miss Saori.

If this man were truly standing guard at the Aquarius Temple, they probably wouldn’t have been able to pass through even if they fought to the bitter end.

With Asclepius sealed in ice, the interlocking giant serpent stone blocks of the Ophiuchus Temple slowly shifted apart, revealing a narrow passage just wide enough for a few people to squeeze through.

Alex frowned slightly. Logically speaking, if Asclepius, the God of Medicine, was truly dead, he should have at least absorbed some Divinity. Yet, no system prompt had appeared before his eyes.

Alex shouted coldly, "keep moving forward! Don’t stop!"

Seiya snapped out of his shock at Alex’s cold command. Delayed by the Ophiuchus Temple, the Zodiac clock now had only three flames left burning.

"Lord Alex, aren’t you coming with us?"

Unaware of the wager between Alex and Athena, Seiya had mentally lumped Alex in as one of their allies.

Alex shook his head. "Asclepius isn’t dead. Go on ahead; leave this place to me!"

Hearing this, their hearts trembled with even greater shock. He was frozen solid into an ice sculpture, yet he still isn’t dead? Just what kind of monster is this Ophiuchus Saint?!

Despite their heads being filled with questions, the four Bronze Saints knew there was no time to dwell on such matters. Saori Kido’s lifeline was rapidly approaching zero. They had to push forward with everything they had if they wanted to reach the summit of the sacred mountain and retrieve the Shield of Athena before the final flame extinguished.

They didn’t hesitate any longer, sprinting out toward the next temple—the Sagittarius Temple.

Only after their figures had completely disappeared from sight did Alex finally speak, his voice echoing through the vast, empty palace.

"Get up and fight. I know you aren’t dead!"

Asclepius’s voice resonated from the empty void.

"Truly impressive, Alex. Thank goodness I was decisive enough to sever my left arm!"

Asclepius’s massive Cosmo descended from the void. Inside the Ophiuchus Temple, countless cells materialized out of thin air, rapidly twisting, proliferating, and mutating until they completely regenerated into Asclepius.

The moment his rebirth was complete, he extended his right hand. The Ophiuchus Gold Cloth levitated from the ground and, as if possessing a life of its own, autonomously assembled itself over his body.

Soon, Asclepius was completely restored to his original state. He stood before Alex, gripping his golden scepter, exuding absolute arrogance.

"I am immortal, Alex! You cannot kill me. Why don’t we sit down and have a proper talk!"

"I have recognized your strength. You are worthy to rule the earth alongside me..."
