Chapter 132: Chapter 66: The Secret of the Eighth Sense; I’m Turning on the Hacks! (Part 2)
Ordinary Saints, even after awakening the Eighth Sense, merely gained the ability to enter the Underworld with their physical bodies intact.
But gods who possessed Divinity were an entirely different matter.
Once they awakened the Eighth Sense, they could utilize their Divinity to freely enhance any of their attributes at will, instantly unleashing a burst of divine power that far exceeded ordinary mortals!
The corners of Alex’s mouth curled up slightly. ’So that’s how it is. Divinity truly is an incredible asset.’
After awakening the Eighth Sense, the Divinity attribute could essentially be viewed as a cheat engine, capable of freely modifying the five basic attributes—including Soul Power!
’I’m sorry, Asclepius, but for this round, I’m turning on the hacks!’
To prevent a single attribute from becoming overwhelmingly strong and causing a bodily imbalance, Alex evenly distributed his thirty points of Divinity across his four basic attributes.
After the allocation, Alex’s attribute values had completely transformed:
[Name: Alex (World Hunter 003)]
[Strength: 51.53 Million]
[Agility: 51.48 Million]
[Spirit: 51.29 Million]
[Constitution: 52.20 Million]
[Divinity: 0]
[Soul Power: 0]
[Cosmo: Eighth Sense (Alaya Vijnana)]
Seeing that Alex made no move after resurrecting, but instead closed his eyes right in front of him, a flare of indignation rose within Asclepius’s heart.
As a demigod possessing the ability of infinite regeneration, he understood the nature of this power better than anyone else.
In this world, there was no such thing as true, eternal immortality. Even he, the God of Medicine, was no exception.
Regenerative abilities were divided into several tiers:
Lowest Tier: Achieved regeneration by relying on external items or artifacts. Once the power of the artifact was exhausted, the regenerative ability would vanish along with it.
Second Tier (Limited Regeneration): The ability to regenerate infinitely as long as vital organs—such as the brain or heart—were not damaged.
Third Tier: As long as the physical body was not completely eradicated—even if only a single microscopic cell survived—one could regenerate infinitely.
Highest Tier: As long as the soul was not extinguished, one could regenerate infinitely.
Asclepius himself belonged to the third tier. His Cosmo was a flawless fusion of absolute toxicity and regenerative power; as long as a single cell remained, he could regenerate limitlessly.
From his perspective, Alex’s so-called "infinite regeneration" was undoubtedly relying on an external artifact.
"Although I do not know how you managed to resurrect, I imagine you must have paid a steep price."
Asclepius gave a cold snort, forcefully suppressing the unease rising in his heart. The serpentine scepter in his hand flared with green light once again.
"Alex, don’t think you can defeat me just by continuously resurrecting! Your ability to revive will eventually run dry, while I can kill you countless times over!"
Asclepius refused to believe that a mere mortal could possess a regenerative ability surpassing that of himself, the God of Medicine.
Alex’s resurrection had to be dependent on some rare divine artifact. As long as he exhausted the power of that artifact, victory would still be his.
More importantly, as long as he held the line at the Ophiuchus Temple, Athena’s reincarnation would soon die completely.
The grand momentum is on my side!
The corners of Alex’s mouth curled up slightly. He raised his head, his expression as calm as a placid lake.
"Asclepius, who exactly gave you the illusion that you could defeat me so easily?"
Alex extended a single finger. The movement appeared slow, yet it was blindingly fast, tapping directly against Asclepius’s chest.
In the very next second, a transparent crystal, as dazzling as a brilliant diamond, slowly began to spread across the Ophiuchus Gold Cloth!
