Sacrificed To The Triplet Alpha Kings
Chapter 381: The Ritual Has Began
"What do we do?" Lucian asked.
"Push power through the bonds," Elena explained. "Constantly. Don’t stop even if it exhausts you. Lilith will need every ounce of strength you can give her."
The three Alphas took their positions around the circle.
North: Nicholas. South: Sebastian. East: Lucian.
Victoria stood at the west point, balancing the formation.
Elena would be inside the circles with Lilith, guiding her through the process.
"Where is she?" Nicholas asked.
"Getting ready," Elena said. "I asked her to meditate for an hour before we begin. Center herself. Prepare mentally for what’s coming."
As if summoned by the mention of her name, the door opened and Lilith entered.
She was wearing simple white robes Elena had provided. Her hair was loose and brushed until it shone. Her feet were bare. She looked young and fragile and absolutely terrified.
But she walked into the room with her head high and her shoulders back.
Brave despite the fear.
"I’m ready," Lilith said.
Elena saw the lie immediately. Lilith was not ready. No one could be ready for something like this.
But she was willing to try anyway.
"Come here," Elena said gently.
Lilith crossed to the center circle and stopped at the edge, looking down at the space where she would lie.
"It’s going to hurt," Elena said quietly. "I won’t lie to you about that. Pulling the curse inward will feel like swallowing fire. Integrating it into your power will feel like dying and being reborn simultaneously. You might scream. You might convulse. You might bleed. None of that means you’re failing. It just means the transformation is happening."
"How will I know if I’m succeeding?" Lilith asked.
"You’ll feel the death magic becoming yours," Elena said. "It will stop fighting you and start responding to your will. The curse will shift from something consuming you to something you control. When that happens, you’ll know."
"And if that doesn’t happen?" Lilith asked.
"Then the curse consumes you," Elena said honestly. "And you die."
Lilith absorbed this. Then she looked at the three Alphas positioned around the circle.
Nicholas. Sebastian. Lucian.
All of them watching her with expressions that held love and terror in equal measure.
"I love you," Lilith said to all three of them. "Whatever happens, I need you to know that."
"You’re going to survive this.," Nicholas said, his voice rough. "You’re going to transform the curse and live. Because I won’t accept any other outcome."
Lilith smiled slightly. "Still think you can control fate?"
"Yes," Nicholas said without hesitation.
Lilith turned back to Elena. "Let’s do this. Before I lose my nerve."

Elena nodded and gestured to the center of the circle. "Lie down. Arms at your sides. Close your eyes and focus inward. Find the curse. Feel where it’s coiled around your heart. That’s where we’ll start."
Lilith stepped carefully over the circles, making sure not to disturb any of the salt lines....and lay down in the center.
She looked so small surrounded by the massive ritual space.
So vulnerable.
Elena knelt beside her and placed one hand on Lilith’s forehead and the other over her heart.
"I’m going to guide you through this," Elena said. "My voice will be your anchor. When the pain gets overwhelming, when you want to give up....follow my voice back to yourself. Understand?"
"Yes," Lilith whispered.
Elena looked around the circle at Victoria and the three Alphas.
"When I begin the ritual, do not break the circles for any reason. Do not speak. Do not interfere. Just push power through the bonds and pray this works."
Everyone nodded.
Elena took a deep breath.
This was it.
The moment everything changed.
Either Lilith would survive and become something unprecedented.
Or she would die and Victoria would attempt resurrection.
Either way, nothing would ever be the same.
Elena began to chant.
The words were old. Ancient. Predating most modern magical languages. Her ancestors had used these same words to transform curses and heal the dying and bridge the gap between life and death.
She just hoped they would be enough now.
White light began to glow around Elena’s hands.
The ritual had begun.

Lilith’s POV
The ritual circle felt cold beneath Lilith’s back.
She lay perfectly still in the center of the intricate patterns Elena had drawn, staring up at the ceiling and trying to control her breathing.
In. Out. In. Out.
Her heart was pounding so hard she could hear it. Could feel it hammering against her ribs like it was trying to escape her chest.
Around the circle, she could feel the Alphas.
Nicholas to the north, steady and strong, his presence like bedrock.
Sebastian to the south, warm and protective, his love wrapping around her like a blanket.
Lucian to the east, wild and desperate, his energy crackling through the bond.
And Victoria to the west, tense with barely controlled terror, trying so hard to be strong.
They were all watching her. All waiting. All hoping this would work.
Please let this work, Lilith thought. Please.
Elena knelt beside her, one hand hovering over Lilith’s forehead and the other over her heart.
"Are you ready?" Elena asked quietly.
Lilith wanted to say no. Wanted to ask for more time. Wanted to run from this room and never look back.
But she didn’t.
"Yes," Lilith lied.
Elena’s expression was gentle despite the gravity of what they were about to attempt. "Remember what I told you. The pain will be intense. You might scream. You might convulse. None of that means you’re failing. It just means the transformation is happening."
"I remember," Lilith whispered.
"And if it becomes too much, if you feel yourself dying....follow my voice back," Elena continued. "I’ll be your anchor. Your guide. I won’t let you get lost."
Lilith nodded, not trusting herself to speak.
Elena placed both hands fully on Lilith’s forehead and heart. The touch was warm. Grounding.
"Close your eyes," Elena said. "And turn inward. Find the curse for me."
Lilith closed her eyes and let her awareness sink into her own body.
It was easier than it should have been.
The curse was impossible to miss. It sat coiled around her heart like a serpent....dark and heavy and absolutely patient. She could feel its weight. Could feel how it had woven itself through her magical channels. Could feel how it had been slowly consuming her from the inside out.
"I feel it," Lilith said.
"Good," Elena’s voice said, distant now despite being right beside her. "Describe it to me. What does it look like?"
Lilith focused on the curse and tried to put it into words.
"It’s black," she said. "Like oil. Or smoke. But solid somehow. It’s wrapped around my heart in layers. And it’s...." She stopped. "It’s alive. Not like a person. But aware. Like it knows I’m looking at it."
