’Wasn’t one hundred points the maximum? I didn’t expect this...’

Ryan thought, frowning as he analyzed the notification. Based on the logic of all his previous stats since arriving in this world, he truly believed that one hundred points was the absolute cap for his luck stat.

Suddenly discovering that an evolution existed beyond the one-hundred-point limit completely changed his rigid view of the system.

’If this strange evolution occurred with an attribute like luck, shouldn’t the possibilities for the rest be the same?’

Ryan evaluated the information with the coldness of a strategist. He immediately thought that if that numerical limit could be broken with luck, then there were more hidden options. Perhaps the exact same thing could happen with his original attributes of strength, agility, or Psyche.

If he managed to evolve his base stats or skills in the same way, his combat power would reach truly incalculable levels.

’It worries me a little that it seems like I’m turning into some kind of entity that isn’t human...’

Even with that thought, the system hadn’t delivered all its notifications. A new prompt message appeared on the screen in front of him.

’My luck has evolved and now this... What kind of wound did Alisa have, then?’

Upon reading the brief description, he became completely distracted from the heated situation with Alisa, who was still recovering beside him, and focused all his attention on the young wolf.

"Alisa, tell me about that wound. Try to remember what happened."

Alisa, recovering her normal breathing, suddenly realized what she had done, and she blushed deeply. But, trying to maintain her composure, she climbed out of the pool and wrapped herself in a towel.

Ryan also stepped out and wrapped a dry towel around himself.

Then, Alisa sat down on one of the bathhouse benches and calmly explained.

"That is part of what I wanted to discuss with you, Your Majesty. I really don’t remember how it happened, but given the type of wound, everyone in my old village assumed a demon attacked me. However, that wasn’t the most important part, but rather what happened next."

She looked at Ryan with uncertainty. Her ears twitched, still seeming hesitant about whether to share what followed.

"Go ahead, tell me," he said.

Alisa nodded.

"After I woke up that day, I started having memories of a past life. Because of that, I became interested in being an artisan. I had curious ideas, and some were completely incomprehensible, as if they weren’t from this world. Naturally, that knowledge and interest scared the villagers. So, when Demon King Rigal was recruiting people, the villagers took the opportunity to get rid of me, although my foolish sister offered to go too so she wouldn’t leave me alone. The rest of the story, I believe you already know, Your Majesty."

Ryan evaluated every word from the young wolf. She certainly had already displayed exceptional capabilities, surprising even the demons.

"Could it be some kind of transmigration?" Ryan muttered, though Alisa managed to hear him.

"I don’t understand what you mean, Your Majesty," she said, confused.

"It doesn’t matter. The point is, Alisa, do you remember the name of any specific place?"

"No... they’re more like ideas, or visions of a very distant fondness for creating magical tools."

’So, it’s not a transmigration like what happened with me. Even so, it surprises me that she’s telling me this, but... all of that happened after she was attacked and left on the verge of death. What the hell does this all mean? What kind of demon did it? And furthermore, was it really a demon?’

"This is something I’ve only ever told my sister, and she wanted me to tell you. I must admit, the idea of being banished for this terrifies me."

"Huh? Why would I do that? Your skills have proven to be very useful. That being the case, I don’t care if you have some past life, or even if you reincarnated from another world."

"Do you really believe the existence of other worlds is possible, Your Majesty?"

"Huh, it’s not something I’d rule out," he replied with a slight, forced smile.

’After all, I come from another world.’

"It’s fascinating, and terrifying. If you could travel to another world, would you do it, Your Majesty?" she asked curiously. It seemed this strange conversation had given her enough confidence to forget what they had done just a few minutes ago.

"No, it’s not really something I’m interested in doing. Dealing with the problems of this world is enough," he said in a calm tone.

"Hahaha, you are right, Your Majesty."

’When I first arrived in this world, for a time I wanted to know if I’d have the chance to return to my original world, but that idea slowly faded away. Although, if I did have the chance to go, I’d only go to buy a copy of GTA 6.’

"Your Majesty, it’s time for me to go," Alisa said, pulling Ryan from his thoughts. "Thank you very much for your words. I promise that from now on, I will work much harder to create the best clothes you could possibly wear."

"I’m glad to hear that. Go on now, just don’t get obsessed like Runa and Mika."

"Yes!" she said with a smile, and left the baths.

’Now I understand Alisa a bit better. I admit that the first time I saw her, I thought she was someone very different. She had a sharp, angry glare. But she turned out to be very sweet, I think. This wasn’t how I planned to test out these baths, but I can’t complain.’

With that thought, Ryan submerged himself in the pool again, staying in the water for at least ten more minutes.

When he finished, he got out and put on clean clothes.

"Now, just to be sure, let’s test how this skill works."

[Spectral Eye]

Ryan activated it, and it felt as if he were seeing through the castle walls. It was a strange sensation.

He could see mana flows representing every person in the castle. Although he could perceive them before, now he could see them with much greater clarity.

But something caught his attention.

Right in the snowy courtyard of the castle, there was a strange, very subtle energy.

Through this new kind of vision, that energy seemed to blend in with the snowflakes. But it emitted a deep scarlet-red glow that was very familiar to him.

’It would be best to make sure.’

With that thought in mind, he adjusted his path directly toward the courtyard.
