Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!
Chapter 1060: CHILDREN OF "DIVORCED" PARENTS
HMM?
Neoma tilted her head to one side when she felt the sudden hostility coming from the Silver Foxes.
She wasn’t threatened, though.
It was actually interesting.
I wonder if these Silver Foxes will be good sparring partners.
"Princess Neoma, may I translate your words to my fellow clan members?" Lewis asked politely. When Neoma just nodded, Lewis faced his clan members. "Princess Neoma isn’t saying she’s going to kill you."
Ah, so that was the problem.
"Princess Neoma has her own Hellgate."
"It’s pink," Neoma added, her eyes sparkling. "So, it’s not scary."
The Silver Foxes only looked more confused, so that was probably why Lewis sped up his explanation.
"Princess Neoma is keeping Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin in her Hellgate."
The Silver Foxes let out a collective gasp.
"Queen Lisica? The Queen of Silver Foxes?"
"It must be, if she’s with Lord Rustin..."
"But how? They’re long gone!"
"Oh, yeah. They’re still dead. But their spirits are ’alive’ in Hell, paying for the sins they had committed when they were alive," Neoma explained casually. "But I control the Hell where they’re in because I own a Hellgate. When I said I’ll send you to Hell, I only mean I want you to meet Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin."
"I don’t think you’d want me to meet them for nothing, princess," Louran Crevan, the leader of the Silver Foxes, said cautiously. The way she addressed Neoma was pretty rude by the empire’s standards, but Neoma didn’t really care. "Why do you want us to meet?"
"Well, aren’t you going to help us fight in the upcoming war?"
Louran Crevan’s eyes widened in shock.
"Oh, am I wrong? Oh, well. Even if you’re not going to join us in the war, I still strongly recommend meeting Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin. It won’t hurt to train under them to improve your fighting skills," Neoma said casually. "But, of course, I won’t force you to meet them and train if you don’t want to."
"Is that true?" Louran Crevan asked, still being very cautious. "We can turn down a de Moonasterio’s "recommendation?""
"Yeah, totally."
"What will be the punishment if we don’t follow your orders?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing?!"
"Yeah, nothing," Lewis confirmed this time. "Princess Neoma is bossy, but she won’t force you to do things you don’t have to. She won’t punish you for turning down her suggestions. You can even call her out if you think she’s being ridiculous. As long as you maintain basic respect and courtesy, she won’t really care."
Neoma tilted her head to one side, slightly confused.
Is Lewis praising or dissing me?
But, thanks to Lewis’ vouch, the Silver Foxes seemed to have calmed down.
I guess it wasn’t a diss.
"Then let me ask my class members first, princess," Louran Crevan said, excusing himself before looking over his shoulder. "Who here wants to meet Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin in Hell?"
Everyone raised their hands without hesitation.
Heh.
Neoma couldn’t help but admire the Silver Foxes.
I’m glad they are resilient people.
And she liked how they made decisions fast.
"Princess, we’d like to meet Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin," Louran Crevan said while looking at Neoma. "Please."
The head of the Silver Foxes bowed his head, and the rest of the clan members followed.
"Alright, then," Neoma said cheerfully, snapping her fingers. "Come out, Pinkie."
’Pinkie’ would be her pink Hellgate, of course.
And, with a loud thud and cold breeze that came along with it, the pink Hellgate appeared right behind her— causing a soft vibration in the air.
Her Hellgate would only appear if she killed someone.
Since she killed a Soul Beast recently, it probably gave her a legitimate reason to call her Hellgate. Thanks to that, it answered her summon.
The Silver Foxes looked quite terrified.
But the younger ones looked impressed.
"It’s really pink!"
"Yeah, it’s cute!"
"It doesn’t look scary!"
I’m glad to hear that.
"It won’t be scary because I’m here," Neoma said, grabbing Skewer as soon as it materialized into thin air. "Let’s go."
***
"FUCK, they multiplied."
As expected, Queen Lisica was still as foul-mouthed as ever.
"Lewis, I’m glad that you weren’t the sole member of the Silver Fox Club anymore!"
It was the energetic Lord Rustin.
They’re still as noisy as ever.
Neoma watched in amazement as Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin ’bother’ the Silver Foxes, who looked like they didn’t know what to say or do.
Not that they had a choice.
After all, Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin kept talking nonstop— "interviewing" the Silver Foxes about what they had been up to that led to Lewis being alone for so long.
I’ll just wait until they calm down.
For now...
"Lewis, stay here in the meantime."
"I don’t need to receive training from Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin anymore," Lewis complained lightly while giving Neoma a suspicious look. "What are you trying to do without me, Princess Neoma?"
"Hey, have some faith in me," Neoma complained, feeling wronged. "I want you to help Queen Lisica and Lord Rustin train your clan members. If possible, I want you to teach the young Silver Foxes your own personal techniques. Of course, only if they want to learn stuff other than the standard fighting techniques for Silver Foxes."
"I’ll do it if that’s what you want, Princess Neoma. But why are you leaving me here?"
"Because I can’t bring you to the Upper World. Not yet, at least."
"Oh."
"I need to go back there to finish my contract with Helstor. I’m bringing Trevor with me, so don’t worry too much. Ruto will be there, too," Neoma said, gently patting Lewis’ shoulder. Of course, she barely touched his shoulder since she knew that he was still getting used to physical contact. "I’ll come back for you, Lewis."
Lewis sighed, but he nodded politely. "I’ll be waiting for you, Princess Neoma."

WHEN Neoma stepped out of her Hellgate, the first person who greeted her was Nero.
Her twin brother was alone.
Tsk.
"Hey, you shouldn’t be roaming around the palace without your knights," Neoma scolded Nero as the Hellgate behind her closed. But the Hellgate didn’t disappear completely because she made it that way. Until she retrieved Lewis and the Silver Foxes, the Hellgate would remain there. "I know you are stronger than your knights. But it wouldn’t hurt to be extra careful."
Nero just rolled his eyes at her nagging. "Did you finally abandon Lewis Crevan?"
"Hell no. I’ll come and pick him up later."
"Tsk."
"Why did you wait for me here?" Neoma asked, linking her arm with Nero’s as they started walking back to the emperor’s palace. "Do you have something you want to tell me?"
"I’m just wondering."
"About what?"
"You told me about how you might end up bringing 10 Battle Representatives with you instead of three."
Ah, right.
Neoma told Nero about the rule that might change later.
But she didn’t ask for her twin brother’s opinion.
He lost my trust after he tried to send that bloodthirsty Soul Beast to me.
Speaking of which...
"You know that I killed that Soul Beast, don’t you?"
"Yes, I know."
"You’re not going to scold me?"
"I can tell why you killed that uncontrollable freak."
"Aish. So you know that Soul Beast is problematic, and you still chose that bastard?"
"It was William who chose him, not me."
"Wow. You’re not taking accountability, huh? You even threw William under the bus."
"Are you surprised?"
"No. I know that you’re evil anyway."
Just like me.
Nero just chuckled, and then he changed the topic when he probably realized that Neoma wasn’t really mad about the stupid Soul Beast’s death. "I mentioned it to our parents."
"How did they react?"
"I believe they are torn."
"Why would they be?"
"They probably want to join you," Nero said casually, shrugging. "But they are torn because I can tell that they don’t want to leave me alone either."
"I’d lie if I said bringing Mama Boss and Papa Boss with me hadn’t crossed my mind," Neoma said, being honest this time. It was a serious conversation, after all. "But I believe you’ll need Mama Boss and Papa Boss more."
"Are you looking down on me?"
"Do you think I would?"
"No. But I don’t like how you become overprotective of me, as if I were a baby who needs your protection."
"Hey, you’re my baby brother. You’ll always be a baby in my eyes."
"Oh, please."
Neoma laughed softly. "No. But seriously, I believe Mama Boss and Papa Boss are more needed here. Mama Boss can command the Nature to protect the empire, in case that bastard Ancient Devil suddenly decides to release the Black Ocean as rain. Of course, Papa Boss and his ridiculously strong Soul Beasts are the equivalent of thousands of knights."
"Then should we split our parents as if we were children of divorced parents?" Nero asked, tilting his head to one side. "Mother stays with me, and Father goes with you to the Upper World."
