Rooming With My Ex-Mate's Hockey Star Brother
Chapter 89: Trey: Famous Last Words
TREY
Never figured eating a girl out would leave me with soaked boxers and a cock already getting half-hard again. Yet here I am on my own bed, with Sadie watching me while I try to figure out how the fuck I’m supposed to recover from her.
Her taste hasn’t left my mouth. Thick, sweet-salty slick coats my tongue and chin, and I keep thinking about her swollen clit, how wet she was while my tongue moved inside her. That pink cunt pulsed against my mouth, and every moan made it harder to stop. Then her thighs trapped my head, and she ground against me as she came. I can still hear her.
Her breathing is settling now, though her cheeks are still flushed. I pull her closer with an arm around her waist, then lift her chin with my free hand so she’s facing me.
"I want to ruin you for every other guy." My thumb rests against her cheek. "Wasn’t planning on you doing the same to me."
She tries to look away, and I gently guide her back. "Don’t get shy now. Look at me."
My arm tightens around her before I catch myself. Holding on harder is usually how I handle wanting something. My pops tried to keep me off the hockey team; I made it anyway, then earned the captaincy. He wanted me living here; I moved out. Even Celia gets reminded that visiting Grandma doesn’t require her permission.
I know what to do when someone gets in my way.
But Sadie? This is the first time I’m worried about my own grip. She’s fragile in ways I could easily mishandle, and being able to hurt everyone else means fuck-all if I’m careless enough to hurt her, too.
A finger traces slowly across my chest, bringing my attention back to her. Her eyes are glossy, and I’m not used to being looked at with this much affection. Apart from Grandma, I can’t remember who else ever has.
"It can only be me, Trey. Nobody else. Right?"
My heart slams against my ribs, and it takes a second to get the question out. "Who else would it be?"
She shrugs, catching her bottom lip between her teeth. "Casual flings," she whispers. "That sort of thing."
I gently free her lip with my thumb. "It’s just you, Sadie."
Women want reassurance even when you might as well have a light bulb over your head announcing how gone you are.
"Let’s get you cleaned up," I whisper.
I sit up and slide my arms beneath her, lifting her from the bed before she realizes she’s coming with me.
"What are you doing?" She clutches the sheet around her waist with one hand and catches my shoulder with the other.
"Getting you cleaned up."
"I can do that myself." She squirms, and I secure my grip before she manages to throw herself onto the floor.
"I’m aware. Stop trying to escape." I head toward the bathroom. "What are you hiding? I’ve seen it all."
She glares while I put her down, one hand keeping the sheet secure around her waist. I switch on the light, and she forgets to keep glaring, her lips parting as she takes in the room.
That gives me time to unzip my jeans.
"Oh my gosh, what are you doing?" Her free hand goes over her eyes.
I look down, then back at her. My boxers are still on. Why is she acting like little Trey’s already come out to say hello?
"Taking my jeans off."
She frowns. "Get out."
"Great hospitality, Sadie. Really making me feel welcome in my own bathroom."
"You can’t do that while I’m here."
I tilt my head. "Why?"
She opens her mouth, shuts it, then gives me an answer that clearly took some work. "Preference."
Fine. I pull my jeans back up. There’s another bathroom.
"You taking a shower?" I ask.
She nods, then looks around again. "It would be a shame not to. Does this even count as a bathroom? It’s bigger than my dorm room."
"You like it?"
"I do."
"Then you should be putting more effort into keeping me." One hand goes into my pocket as I move closer. "You’re impressed by a bathroom. Imagine having the whole estate when it becomes mine. You wouldn’t want to be in charge of it?"
Her lips press together, and she doesn’t answer.
I’m aware I sound shameless. I’m also aware that money has made much less appealing men sound convincing. Women like glamour, money, being able to make decisions that someone else pays for. Sadie didn’t grow up on an island with no concept of wealth. She can appreciate a decent offer.
"Sorry, but the rest of the estate is a bit ugly and cold." Her nose wrinkles.
Something cracks inside me. My rib, I think.
[You embarrass me. Incessantly.] Trex follows that with a dismissive snort.
I hate sharing a head with someone who enjoys my problems this much.
"So you don’t like the estate?" I turn back to Sadie. "That’s sad. You’re the only person I’ve brought here."
She smiles. "I like that you brought me. The house is a separate issue. It would need a major touch-up to feel like home."
Okay. We can knock things down. I’m not particularly attached to most of what’s holding this place up anyway.
"Let me stay and help wash your hair, then."
"My hair?" She gives me another look.
"Yeah. Water, shampoo, a little scrubbing and digging into the scalp. I think I can manage."
"First, nobody digs into their scalp." She tucks the edge of the sheet securely at her waist, then folds her arms. "Second, you want an excuse to look at my breasts."
It takes some effort to look offended when the accusation is that fucking accurate. "How dare you accuse me of that?"
She steps closer, and I’m briefly optimistic until her palms land on my chest and start steering me toward the door.
"Wait, let’s discuss—"
"Get out, Trey. And lend me a shirt and a pair of shorts. Leave them on the bed."
She pushes me through the doorway and shuts the door in my face. I stand there for a second, then sigh. Not only have I been kicked out of my own bathroom, I’m now taking orders.
[On the bright side, we should celebrate,] Trex says. [She’s ours now. Months of dedication have paid off.]
Turning away, I step into the closet and pick out a blue shirt and black shorts. Leaving them on the bed, I head into the smaller room connected to mine.
There’s another bathroom through here.
After stripping, I turn on the shower and wait beside it for the water to heat. "Trex, you think everything’s over now? We’re barely starting."
He goes quiet for a second, longer than his usual pause.
[The only ones who can ruin this are you and Sadie. She has a pure heart. Tell her the truth about that night. How she saved us, and the...]
He trails off, but I know exactly which part he’s leaving for me to fill in.
He’s been pushing me to explain how we got here, conveniently ignoring what that explanation involves. I’d have to admit I split her and Ezra up. Their relationship was already going to shit, and he would’ve hurt her eventually. I just hurried the bastard along.
Sadie’s not going to appreciate that distinction. She’ll remember what it felt like, and nothing I tell her about knowing better will change the fact that I helped put her through it. She won’t forgive me, so I’m taking that shit to my grave.
[And if she finds out another way? You underestimate her.]
I test the water, then step beneath it, letting it wash over my face.
"You underestimate how she feels about me. She likes me now. She’s not looking for reasons to ruin this, and she won’t believe whatever bullshit somebody tells her."
[We should be prepared for every scenario.]
"I’m ready. Can’t you fucking tell?" I breathe out. "Sadie is meant to be mine. The Moon Goddess has had all these years to give me a mate, and she hasn’t tied me to anybody else. I’m not wrong about this. It’ll work."
He lets out a sigh and retreats. [If you say so.]
